I thought The Last Of Us release date was the 30th in EU? My Amazon pre-order says its released on Friday the 1st August. I'm gonna be pissed if it doesn't arrive on Wednesday!

It's August the 1st for the EU, the usual Friday release date.
So when is this being released? I thought it was Friday?The official PS site and tons of gamer sites had it down for the 29th in NA and 30th for EU, Iv had that date pencilled in since it was announced.

I can't wait to get that 60fps goodness.
I'm not that bothered about playing it a second time through just yet, but I haven't done the DLC and wouldn't mind having another bash at the multiplayer. It was actually really good and I could do with a good multiplayer game to play until stuff starts coming out.

Done a few encounters so far. Great fun. The stealth is brilliant, and I love how tight with ammo it is (although it may be because I stuck it straight on hard). Throwing bricks at a guys face from point blank range will not get old 
I'll wait until others have got the game until I (or someone else) starts a PS4 thread for it. I'll obviously keep quiet on the spoiler front either way.
Didn't realise the PS4 would be so loud though! As mentioned before, the only other game I have is Fifa and it barely made a sound!

When its background installing the PS4 can be quite loud, that might die down.
Sold the likes of Fifa, COD, Watch Dogs, Infamous to cash in all in preparation for the new games coming out in next few months - Destiny, COD, Fifa, Driveclub. That means I only have Battlefield 4 right now. Going to be a long wait.

It's out Friday I believe. A friend of mind works at a small local retailer and managed to get me one on the sly, and for cheap at that!

Good choice woodzy, that's the best way to play it from the start. I made the mistake of playing from Normal and while it was still difficult I usually had enough ammo to get me through most sections and it was only on hard that proper ammo/supply management came into play where you really think about wasting ammo or just keeping ammo for people with guns/clickers. Enjoy!

I think it's instant on PSN. I know Amazon wait until they ship.
Cheers. In that case I much prefer Amazon's method. I don't like to lose money before I have the product in my hands or it's at least on its way. I guess it makes no difference, but it always puts me off.
I'm not certain about PSN, though, so you may want to double check.
Amazon is also hard copy, I prefer it to digital tbh...

A lot of people buying it this time round didn't play it on ps3.
I completed it on a PS3 a year ago, will gladly play it over again on a PS4. Why wouldn't I? It's a great game.
It is a fantastic game but there is no way I am buying it twice in such a short space of time. However, if you have never played it before, it's a day one buy.
Surely the more pertinent question is why would you, considering you've bought it once.
I can see that similarity yeah. The handling model is brilliant actually, a lot like PGR in that you can drive fast but also you can drift around those corner if you see fit. Had one game in a hyper car too and the sense of speed is just insane. It's also extremely pretty to look at.
It's only one of the best games ever made...
I haven't played The Last of Us before, so will be buying it tomorrow.

Well I won't bring about a flame war upon myself for saying what I would about TLOU. It was a good game, with a strong but unoriginal story and some fantastic visuals.
Because I liked the game and would like to play it again. What's strange about it? I will buy GTAV again too even though the PS3 edition is still sitting on my shelf (unlike TLOU which I have sold).
