I've got well over 50 games for free for VITA and PS3 because of PS+, and Resogun and Contrast on PS4 as well, and whatever that game is being released on the 8th. And that's not counting the discounts you get on other things as well. For less than €1 per week.......
What's the failure rate Weaste? First time i've ever had a console not work from the off. I've owned every playstation most times with 2 of each console.
I have no idea, I think that Sony are claiming less than 1%. I don't believe that, it's probably around 3%. Failures are all different issues though, which is a good sign.
Damned fecking unlucky then. Anyway, it should be here on friday for me. Which is alright, at least I got a feel of the controller for the first time. Felt damn good man, damn good indeed. Never thought they'd improve the dualshock but they have.
What's the deal with the "blue screen" in BF4? I've had it twice while playing campaign. Like the PS crashes.

Battlefield is a technical mess currently (on almost all platforms).
Managed to pick up killzone for £37. Decent game, graphics are superb.

Always turned mine off so far, don't see the need for it to be on stand by really the boot up time is hardly excessive.
Standby, as it can download updates - if a game or the operating system updates it will download it for you rather than you turning it on and being faced with that - one game had a 6GB update the other day, and I also like my remote activation.
Stupid question, but how do I stop my PS4 turning off? I've left it to go make food or something and it seems to automatically turn itself off? I assume this can be changed?

There is a setting somewhere, just check everything in account or console settings
I thought it completely shut off? The game screen closed down, and clickying the PS button on the controller started up the machine to the main menu?
Not sure mate, haven't had any problems with mine so far.
Is the light orange? If it is then it's standby mode. Although it tells you when you boot it up if it's been put in standby

Yeah I've had that too. Quite easy via power saving settings to increase the turn off time. Bloody annoying when FIFA shuts itself down after a pause mid game when you've gone for a dump.
Properly played killzone today. It feels rushed and unfinished.
Could have been a Good game, wish they had delayed it.
Also played through the cod ghosts campaign. Was actually very impressed. it, looks great and was a decent game.

Of course it was rushed, it's a launch game running on a bespoke engine. They are, for better or worse, one of the four big Sony studios, the others being Polyphony, Naughty Dog, and Santa Monica each of which have been given far more time - Uncharted 4 has no release date, it might not even show up this year. PS4 launch date was PS4 launch date, it had to ship finished or not making it a graphical showcase more than anything.
Graphics are not even that good IMO for Killzone. The odd time it looks great but its very inconsistent.
Another gripe but it annoys me is that when you look down your leg looks like a piece of elastic flapping about. Its shoddy stuff, I liked what they tried to do but if they were allowed more time it could have been a great game.

Not to mention that Guerrilla also have been working on a new gen new IP for a long time now, they've been wanting to move away from Killzone.
I suspect Sony had to get something recognizable out for a first party launch title and Killzone was picked.
Personally think Killzone, is probably the best looking next gen title at the moment. Lighting, reflections, the effects (especially particle effects) look great. Scenery looks great.
Your right about it probably needing more time to look better, Guerrilla designed the game thinking the PS4 only had 4GB of GDDR5... They did not know about the PS4 having 8GB till the announcement back end of Feb.

PS4 and FIFA sat at home waiting for me as they both arrived this morning, only problem is I'm not going home until Sunday night. 
Technically it is graphically the most impressive launch game.

Brought Fifa 14 as really wanted a new game on a whim, and Assassins Creed was sold out.. May trade it in already. Maybe it's because iv'e not played Fifa for about a year but not really enjoying it.
I can't wait for Theif, as I've been a big fan of them since The Dark Project. Outlast looks pretty cool too.
Driveclub, Watchdogs, maybe MGS: GZ, maybe Tomb Raider, other than that, pretty much just AC and Fifa for me in the first half of the year. Will have to look into it all further though, especially Thief.
I think I'm going to pick up a Vita before a ps4 at this rate, as I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy X HD and that is out in March anyway. Plus, they're cheap as hell with a few games included these days. Very tempting indeed.
Thief is by Square Enix so it could end up being a cracking game. That and Watchdogs will be the ones i want to get. I want a driving game but NFS and Driveclub don't look that good.
I agree with the driving game, it's why I want Driveclub, doesn't look the greatest driving game, but hopefully it'll surprise me in a good way.
I've never seen much about Thief if I'm honest, going to have to youtube some gameplay footage and see how I feel about it. Watchdogs could go either way too, it is a decent concept, but could easily get very repetitive/boring like the first Assassins Creed.
Shame the games such as destiny and the division are so far away.
Really hope Thief is on the level with the old ones.
From having a quick look it looked rather clunky :/ Only seen one video though. Maybe need to play a demo or something.
