It hardly supports Blu-ray movies at all, it's a terrible BD player, PS3 blows it out of the water. They just didn't get a decent media player on it for launch, it's just rushed. Nothing stopping it outputting 3D though hardware wise. PS4 CPU is likely terrible at media playback though and all their code from PS3 was for Cell which now all needs re-writing to get the GPU to do it.
Well that is quite disappointing. Know anything regarding 3d games weaste?
Those owning Battlefield 4 - how are you finding the game?
It is viable, you just need a developer to do it, I believe that Housemarque at least said they were looking to do it - Resogun in 3D - hell yeah. PS4 doesn't support 3D BDs yet because they haven't got the media player up to scratch, same as it will not play an MP3 or a video file on a USB stick - it WILL happen, it's just how long it takes.

Got the Killzone pack with COD, Assassins Creed and FIFA a few days back and loving it so far. Haven't even touched Killzone yet but I've sunk some obligatory hours into CoD and FIFA and Creed is absolutely superb

Doesn't really follow on much from the previous stories so I'd recommend it to anyone tbh. Easy to pick up and play but nice for people like me who've sunk far too many hours into the series too

I've asked for a refund from amazon. I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than deal with Sony customer service who have already accused me of theft once this year because of the GTAV dud download.

I think I've messed up my Fifa, it won't install and then when it does it show as corrupted data. So annoying.
The kids love Knack, we've been having great fun with it. For me, visually at times it's quite stunning for the art style it has.
My brother just got one, works on our Panasonic screen but not the Toshiba, both are 1080p but just doesn't seem to like the one.

Yeah it's an odd one, I deal with HDCP at work often so figured as much. It eventually worked, what we did first was put it on the newer tv, dropped resolution to 1080i and swapped. But it didn't work. But when we dropped it to 720 on the new tv then put it over it worked fine, and then we were able to change the resolution back to 1080. Odd indeed.
So my disc drive appears to be broken...can't play anything until next Friday when they replace it.
If you have disk version of games can you download the PSN versions?.. Just download Resogun for free and master that.

It's been horrendous recently. Obviously having never paid for the service before I'm naturally more annoyed by it but given the fact that the console was pretty much intended for Christmas I can see why the service hasn't been smooth in the last few days.
Hopefully it picks up soon.
Sounds silly but have you tried ejecting with the control command? my button seemed to play up for a day or 2 and i just used that, but now its working fine again.

That is a good site if you want one as soon as possible. It seems to favour a few retailers (most online) but has others that you can order and pick-up in store. Some good prices too, instead of paying £500+ for a certain package which most retailers are milking at the minute.

Looking at this Shadowfall free for the weekend thing. How much do you need to download before you can start playing?
It's the multiplayer element so I would imagine all of it.

Isn't it just a multiplayer trial though? I haven't really looked into it much given I have the full game.
I don't know, on the store (under the discount bit of PS+) it said it was a 40GB download. I clicked "descargar" and it asked what I wanted first, single player or multi-player, it then downloaded a half gig patch/update in about 2 minutes flat, and I now have an 8GB download crawling along at around 1MB per second - 4 hours left!
