Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

I was in GAME yesterday and they had PS4 games for rent. This is Spain though, don't know about other countries.

The good old days.

It's a shame all the copyright issues came about, I used to love going to a local independant game shop and renting a game for the week for a fiver.

He told me a few years ago that the business survived because of renting. One copy of a game would generally make about £120 from renting before being sold second hand for £10 or so at the end of its cycle.

It was just him sitting in his shop, no staff, few overheads and just rent. If a business can't survive like that you know there is something wrong with the industry.

What's a good/acceptable price for this? I want one, doesn't necessarily need to be in time for Christmas but I'd like it soon after if not. I've already got FIFA 14 so could try the return swap thing (how does that even work?) but otherwise probably Assassins Creed and COD/Killzone.

Supply and demand Weaste... blame Sony for not making enough.

Well, 350 quid is a good price for this, that's its RRP! I paid €400 for mine. Don't get scammed! Those people are the lowest of the low.
Yeah, since their release here on Friday, I've checked some of our classified ad websites. The selling price was standard across all stores at R6,299 for the console + 1 controller.

I see the people aren't being that deluded by trying to sell them. Most are at cost or cost plus 5-10%.

Got a text saying my PS4 has arrived. Will pick it up tomorrow after work.

Sorry Weate, is it not the 4th installment?

Yeah, I mean Shadow fall.

I got my console, but then wasn't sure which game to buy between COD, BF and KZ.
I find COD the best to play (its not too hard), however it doesn't feel much of a leap from ps3. BF is the best to look at but its harder to play. I'd avoid Killzone out of them all, it doesn't play as well as either imo.

Despite spending a fecking fortune over the Christmas period on presents and bills, I've just got a side bit of cash of 250 quid to do whatever I want with. Will stick another 100 or so to that when I next get paid so that I can finally get this, hopefully early January

Has there been any news on a release date for Tom Clancy's The Division?

Q4 next year, so pre Christmas release alongside the next Fifa, Battlefield, Call of Duty etc etc.

Has anyone got a link to a release list of games for UK release in 2014?

I've been offered the chance to get one of these for Christmas but the release games look thoroughly underwhelming and expensive, so wondering if I should decline.

What are the most anticipated games outside of Infamous and Watchdogs?

Has anyone got PS4 Madden? Any opinions?

It's the usual Madden, which IMO is a good thing. Not much a graphical upgrade as they apparently spent time working on the AI, which makes linemen much better (they will attempt to grab anyone running past them if they can) and the secondary will change tactics after the snap depending on the play. Makes large run plays less frequent and I'm struggling gaining any yards returning on Special Teams. They've improved the running game and there's a decent skill/tutorial mode, which goes into some of the more in-depth moves that I have neglected to use in the past.

I've not got the current gen version so I can't tell you how much has changed but I'm really enjoying it, although it's definitely more of the same, so I wouldn't expect big strides.

The Division, Destiny, The Witcher 3, FF15 and the new MGS probably. I personally think the new Diablo expansion is going to be excellent, all the announced changes sound great.
