He will be some club's panic buy this summer. Personally would've loved to see a front two of Auba and Lukaku. We would score ridiculous amount of goals.

They better panic fast, cause Dortmund has given him a July 31st deadline.

Would make a ton of sense for us to sign him if Mourinho would be willing to switch to a 3-5-2

---------------------DDG---------------------
---------Tuanzebe--Bailly--Lindelöf----------
Valencia--Fabinho--Herrera--Pogba--Perisic
-------------Lukaku----Aubameyang--------

I think he'll either win the golden boot or be a massive flop. For some reason I don't think he'll just be a "good player". He's immensely talented and odds are he'll be a beast but something about him and his "Real Madrid dream" just makes me worry he could completely lose focus and flop. That said I'd take (what I believe) is a risk to signing anyone else if I were Chelsea..

He is fast and he scores goals for fun
So he's a pace merchant at 29 (there abouts) who is average at best at the talents he needs when ithe pace finally goes.
He is a huge risk, even if he takes a year to adapt ala Mkhi it's a disaster.
It's like Fabinho, there must be a reason everybody seems to be avoiding them

He won the Golden boot in the Bundesliga but, let us judge him by who buys him.

His birthday was last month. He's absolutely, indisputably, inarguably 28.

Lukaku may not be as fast as Auba, not many players are, but he is still a very fast player ,who scores goals for fun , in the EPL which is key

Ok so 1 super fast player and one pretty fast player that is also super strong and both score goals for fun. Good striker partnership no ?

should be. Although i dont get the impression we are going to play 2 upfront much.

Well I did start my original post with, it would make a ton of sense to buy him IF mourinho would start using the 3-5-2, I guess 4-4-2 could also work.

If it is 4-3-3 not so much

I've said it time and again - players from Bundesliga don't adapt well in the PL. Hes a big risk.

Gundogan when fit did well for City. De Bruyne has adapted well too. Schurrle was a decent player for Chelsea. Kagawa was underwhelming at Utd and so far that's the case for Mkhitaryan too but to say that BL players don't adapt well to the PL I don't entirely agree.

I'm fine with that.

I'm fine with that.

Son, Mertesacker, Arnautovic, Can, Firmino, Sané, Gündogan, De Bruyne, Schürrle, Mame Diouf, Papiss Demba Cisse, and even Kompany too if we wanna go further back. :P How many have there really been? It's mostly Dortmund players that don't do as well if they're taken out of Dortmund's system.

This guy outperforms Lewandowski, you're nuts if you think he's just a pace merchant. Technically he's far better than any other striker in the PL, and far more creative as well. He's an inconsistent finisher though which can be infuriating.

Better technically but inconsistent finisher...sounds a bit of an oxymoron to me. In any case, you're calling out his finishing. Others that watch him noting other deficiencies in areas key to being a top striker like Lewa. Easy then to see why no one has snapped him up

He's still easily of that level, he has been going head to head against him for several years now. But this guy is a very complete forward. Yes he has the pace, but can also create his own chances, good in tight spaces, good dribbler and links up very well with his teammates, excellent runs, good in the air and can score from a huge range of goals. Maybe his concentration is what leads him to these misses, he can miss quite some chances. But finish excellently the following one.

Aubameyang's simply being sterotyped here. He's quick and scores shitloads of goals, so he must be rubbish outside the box and in the build up.

You don't need to look far to see the many occasions his build-up play is good but his finishing's a bit off. He's shown lots of clever passing, explosive dribbing, aggressive pressing, dedicated defending - he's more than just goals. It's not like he's a limited finisher either. Precision, power, poise - it's all there.

He definitely benefits from Dortmund's brilliance every now and then, but he could easily score the same amount at Madrid, PSG, City with the creative brilliance they have. He'd easily be the best striker in the Premier League if he were to come here. I'd have went for him over Lukaku but it's good to see Mourinho looking longer-term.

Me too on both counts.. We couldn't really sign both and continue with only one stricker upfront.. Or would Auba work as a ten/SS?

have to say this guy impressed me the few times I've seen him but he can't see us signing him

85 goals in 128 Dortmund games. That is immense. No brainer to sign him, seriously.
Why Milan, Liverpool, Chelsea haven't snapped him up yet is quite surprising

Milan 'cause they can't afford his wages. Liverpool probably the same. Chelsea no idea

I don't understand why there are two separate posts on Aubameyang?

Besides that, Lukaku + Rashford will be a force to reckon with.

If anyone really wanted him, he'd have moved by now. He's too greedy clearly.

I'm not sure that makes sense since Dortmund is probably paying him least out of all the possible destinations for this season.
