I don't think this will happen because with the new 100% tax on foreign signings it's €160 million.
That is only applied if clubs are in debt so it's likely that sponsorship deals will increase just how sugar daddy clubs in Europe got round the fair play rules.

I take it you won't shift to china if you are told you will earn 30mn a year to do the exact same job you are doing now.
Not if a top European team wanted me and would pay around 200k a week, to play competitive football. That would be ambition, hunger and job satisfaction eh...winning trophies and achieving. What would you achieve out there?

When your finished and on the decline I have no problem with players wanting one last big pay day, this player is at his peak.

To be fair, are there any top european teams after him? He's been at Dortmund for quite some time and there's never really been any serious links to a top team. For one reason or another it seems like they are all bypassing him.

There are links this year to PSG, but who knows how serious they are about it.

It's his wage demand that's put clubs off. Apparently seeking 10mil net.

It's about transfer minus, not revenues. So unless they find a way to sell some of their shitty Chinese players to Europe for huge money, this will be extremely costly.

I've not seen it referred to as transfer net spend, only loss making.

The new ruling, which the CFA has introduced, will take effect from 19 June, and will result in clubs effectively having to pay double the price if they are not posting profits.

China's football authority wants a 100% tax on loss-making clubs that sign foreign players, in a bid to encourage domestic competition.

What team are trying to sign aubemeyang? The new DoF at PSG had them backoff from signing him.

So much for the old "I only want a Champions League club" line

I cannot believe this guy will be going to China, he is too good and has a lot left to offer. What a waste if it is true.

That 30m per year is pretty tempting isnt it?

I guess but he can win titles at top tier teams in competitive leagues and get paid handsomely in the process. For the Bundesliga leading scorer to end up in China is sad

No team in Europe will even pay him half of those wages.

Wouldn't psg give him £250K a week? I don't see why not
PSG are giving Verratti only 12m (5m bump from the 7m he is earning right now) after Barca wants him. No way they will pay Auba more than that.

I thought psg threw money at players but maybe that's just with the Silva/Zlatan level of players

You can't live off trophies once your career is over. Nothing wrong or sad with prioritizing money over sport trophies.

Pretty sure getting 200k a week for the next 5 years would set him for life more or less. Or it should. At a certain point... not sure what difference the extra money makes tbh. If he's gonna run out of money earning 15m a year then he'll do the same earning 30m I'd bet.

I don't think he's that good. Whenever i've seen Aubameyang he's just wasteful in front of the goalkeeper, on top of that he comes across quite difficult to handle. He seems out of touch (clothing) with reality, i wouldn't touch him either for the money he's being touted. For me Aubameyang is one of the most overrated fowards in the current game, Monacco shut them up easily.

I'd much rather we bring in Morata, who seems quite normal and comes without the package.

It buys a bigger boat/G650. He can send more kids to private school. It'll buy more coke, or watches, or clothes for women...

Or if he sticks it in a savings account or conservative investment fund, the residual income from the interest will be more, and he lives better, while leaving behind more money for his kids or women or whoever when he dies.

Yeah... where did this notion that people should be content with their salary because they can live off of it and extra money doesnt change much, come from?

Yes. Are you ready to "lose" 15-20 million per year that you can play football in a better league? Or go to worse league but get that 15-20 million more? Normal people run after money too and i would change my work too if somebody offer me double or triple salaries.

Seems the Chinese move is off and AC Milan has stepped up to the plate, while there was hints of United interest when he 'liked' a pic of Rashford. Doesn't seem to be the proto-typical Mourinho striker, but maybe on the wing or even #10?

You really wonder why no big club is actually in for him. Finances?
He seems to be a system reliant player. I don't have stats, but whenever I saw him he seems to have awful conversion rate. He has good movement & pace to get into good position but his team, Dortmund, should be credited for creating the chance for him. In another system, I have my doubt he can score as much with how he wasted chancesl. Beside that, he does sound as a negative character to have in the team. Wrong kind of ego. For example, Zlatan's character plays a role that pulling his teammates together. This guy seems like distant himself with his constant love for another club.

I'm not sure where this talk of Aubameyang having a bad attitude is coming from. By all accounts he's a pleasant fellow to have around the squad, I welcome anyone to post something to the contrary.

Anyone here that criticised Rooney's City shenanigans and supporting Auba chasing the Yen?

Plenty I expect.

Is this guy not as good as I thought he was?

It he's available for 70m I thought there'd be numerous clubs in for him but it all seems rather quiet.
He's a really good striker IMO but the quietness surrounding him is odd indeed. Apparently his wage demands are crazy but if he wants a move to a non-Chinese club you'd think he'd be more reasonable with the wage demands. But it's not even August yet so he can still make a move.

There's only so many clubs who can and would spend that much on a striker. How many currently are in the market for one? After the PSG move fell apart, there's probably only Chelsea left of teams who are shopping at that level and they look set on Morata. Real are certainly eyeing up Mbappe.
