Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang| ESPN: Move to PSG very close

Which cost even higher wages. So how do we do it? This would by the way also mean the replacing of around half the squad in a single window. A window including an International tournament and a shorter Pre season, which also includes a pretty big promotion tour. When has something like this ever happened?

All I did was replace Aubameyang and Ramos with Iheanacho and Morata. Everything else has already happened and is the current Dortmund squad as it stands.

No ofcourse but people need to realise that it is not about individuals but about team. Just look what Leicester did. Still I think we will get an upgrade on the wing and maybe at number 10. So in reality could be:

new winger - new number 10 - Martial
----------------Zlatan

It is just a question which two we will get for a winger or number 10 role.

Exactly I agree with you its all about who we get for those two positions but for now its advantage city

You're kidding yourself.

It's going to be Rooney behind Zlatan, its not even in doubt.

I imagine Sane and Laporte are next to, christ theyre going to have an unreal squad.

Eh, you added another defender (you did not list him but mentioned it in the text), Götze and keeping Mkhitaryan. All of these players being top earners. This squad won´t stay at it is, as several players will depart this Summer already meaining quite an overhaul. These players don´t earn that much so we look at an increase of what? 40-50 Mil.€ per year? Yeah, not happening.

I trust Jose judgement on that. If he thinks Rooney is good enough number 10 then I am ok but if he will think he isn't he will not be in the team because he could lose his job if he get's it wrong with Rooney.

Also when we talk about Rooney, I am looking forward to see how some players react playing under Jose, I think many of our player underperformed massively including Rooney, sure some of them will go but I wouldn't be suprised if 2-3 players out of Herrera, Memphis, Schneiderlin, Darmian and Schweinsteiger will play much much better then they did under LVG.

But we should go back to the topic now...

So could be:

--------------Agüero---------------
De-Bruyne------------Aubamayang
---------------Silva------------------
Gündoğan---------Fernandinho----

Dont think he'll play one of the top strikers in the world currently (which will cost them a bomb) as a RW. In fact I dont see how he fits into Pep's system.

That'd suck if he went to City. Don't know how you fit him and Aguero into the same team though.
Well if Pep is willing to play two up top. They could go 4-2-2-2. Gundogan and Fernandinho holding. Sterling/Sane on the left, De Bruyne on the right. Aguero and Auba up to.
Alternatively he could use some variation of the three at the back formation.

Just like Robben wasn't going to fit in either, right?

Thing about having one of the best managers in the world is that they can find a way to make it work with all the talent

Robben to me has always been winger who can play as a wide forward. Auba is not a winger or wide forward nor is he a tricky dribbler like Robben. He just beats people for pace. I dont know whether that quality would be useful in tight spaces created by defenses which sit back against Pep's teams.

Have sky just gone with Di Marzio as their "source"? Don't be true, don't be true. Obviously Guardiola has identified striker as a spot to fill which I think is fair enough. Aguero has had a few injuries. After him it's a gap in quality to Bony. Iheanacho is developing still and not the finished article. Nor is Rashford and nor is Martial so my expectation is that we are looking to boost our forward line. I think that would be the case whoever the boss was.

58m? We'd match that all day long. If he moves for that then you'd have to think he's told them he wants City.

Deal will be done for just less than £60m.

People were suggesting over 100M in here

There's no way it would be that high, whether Dortmund needed to sell or not. £60M sounds about right and the price that he's been mooted as being available for.

Youre right about that. There are many wingers that are more suited than Auba for that RW position. Im interested in knowing (if this move comes off) how hes going to do it.

'Opens talks' could be anything. It could be as little as City phoning up and being told to go suck a fat one.

I quite enjoy it when people tell football clubs how much they're going to sell their players for its always fun.

The only sum an official of Dortmund has ever mentioned as limit where they might talk and think about selling was 100+Mil.€. That was long before the Hummels and Gündogan deals.

Be a decent signing, although he's pretty limited. Obviously great at running in behind and scores goals, but his hold up play is lacking, in my opinion. Think he'll play as a wide forward when Aguero is fit.

Good signing for City if true.. I'd hope they would try rely on injury prone Aguero and it would bite them in the ass.

Also, FFP failed miserably so? Sky on about them interested in loads of expensive players.

Even funnier than this whole "saga" is the notion of buying Auba for a fortune and then putting him on the right wing. He would be by quite a margin the most overpriced winger in the history of club football. There are about a dozen better realistic options for half that money. Guardiola burning so much money on him while keeping Aguero would actually be a good thing for United. Auba is only top class in one position and that is as sole CF.

Wow, didn't see that coming - Sterling, Aguero and Aubameyang infront of De Bruyne? Full-backs, a CB, and another CM and we'll be done, right?

In all seriousness though I can't see this being agreed for the £58m being banded around, that price seems far too sensible.

Why do people keep mentioning Sterling with the likes of Aguero, Aubameyang and KDB? Sterling is shite.

So he's pants on the wings?
