Which cost even higher wages. So how do we do it? This would by the way also mean the replacing of around half the squad in a single window. A window including an International tournament and a shorter Pre season, which also includes a pretty big promotion tour. When has something like this ever happened?
No ofcourse but people need to realise that it is not about individuals but about team. Just look what Leicester did. Still I think we will get an upgrade on the wing and maybe at number 10. So in reality could be:
new winger - new number 10 - Martial
----------------Zlatan
It is just a question which two we will get for a winger or number 10 role.

All I did was replace Aubameyang and Ramos with Iheanacho and Morata. Everything else has already happened and is the current Dortmund squad as it stands.
I trust Jose judgement on that. If he thinks Rooney is good enough number 10 then I am ok but if he will think he isn't he will not be in the team because he could lose his job if he get's it wrong with Rooney. You're kidding yourself.
It's going to be Rooney behind Zlatan, its not even in doubt.
So could be:
--------------Agüero---------------
De-Bruyne------------Aubamayang
---------------Silva------------------
Gündoğan---------Fernandinho----
Well if Pep is willing to play two up top. They could go 4-2-2-2. Gundogan and Fernandinho holding. Sterling/Sane on the left, De Bruyne on the right. Aguero and Auba up to.That'd suck if he went to City. Don't know how you fit him and Aguero into the same team though.
Dont think he'll play one of the top strikers in the world currently (which will cost them a bomb) as a RW. In fact I dont see how he fits into Pep's system.

£70/75M for me, max. City wouldn't go above that.
Robben to me has always been winger who can play as a wide forward. Auba is not a winger or wide forward nor is he a tricky dribbler like Robben. He just beats people for pace. I dont know whether that quality would be useful in tight spaces created by defenses which sit back against Pep's teams.Just like Robben wasn't going to fit in either, right?
Deal will be done for just less than £60m.
Youre right about that. There are many wingers that are more suited than Auba for that RW position. Im interested in knowing (if this move comes off) how hes going to do it.Thing about having one of the best managers in the world is that they can find a way to make it work with all the talent
People were suggesting over 100M in here
There's no way it would be that high, whether Dortmund needed to sell or not. £60M sounds about right and the price that he's been mooted as being available for.

Rüdiger is injured? Ffs.
Even funnier than this whole "saga" is the notion of buying Auba for a fortune and then putting him on the right wing. He would be by quite a margin the most overpriced winger in the history of club football. There are about a dozen better realistic options for half that money. Guardiola burning so much money on him while keeping Aguero would actually be a good thing for United. Auba is only top class in one position and that is as sole CF.
inclined to agreeWhy do people keep mentioning Sterling with the likes of Aguero, Aubameyang and KDB? Sterling is shite.
