Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang| ESPN: Move to PSG very close

It's actually depressing how City get Gundogan and Aubameyang while we get Ibrahimovic and Schweinsteiger.
Maybe Ibrahimovic will go to Dortmund on a free, if Aubameyang leaves. :nervous:

Everything must go at Dortmund.

I'll tell you what, we'll take Mkhirtaryan off them if they chuck in a couple of seats, one of the floodlights, and half the pitch.

Depends how much they can get for him and what their plans are. I don´t think Tuchel is scared to play the talented babies. Say they get €100M plus Iheanacho for Aubameyang. Sell Ramos, too. That would easily be enough to buy Goetze and Morata, have something left for another defensive all-rounder and afford to run down Mkhitaryan´s deal unless the €40M demands are met.

Goalies:

Bürki
Weidenfeller

Centrebacks:

Sokratis
Bartra
Subotic
Bender
Ginter

Fullbacks:

Schmelzer
Durm
Guerreiro
Passlack
Piszczek

Defensive midfield:

Weigl
Sahin
Rode
Merino

Attacking midfield:

Reus
Goetze
Kagawa
Mkhitaryan
Dembele
Pulisic
Castro
Kuba
Mor

Strikers:

Iheanacho
Morata

And now please explain to me how a 27 man squad is in any way comparable to a coach like Tuchel, who normally works with smaller squads and how in the world are we supposed to support this immense wage bill. We are financially healthy and certainly not poor, but that wage bill would require around 100 Mil. € more revenue as we are not stupid enough to build wages on transfer fee income. Not to mention, that basically all our freshly signed highly gifted talents would be left to starve. Merino and Rode are CM by the way and would be in the same category as Castro and Kagawa.

Di Marzio is Sky, isn't he? So that's not really a new source then, Would be more interesting to see Kicker or one of those good Dortmund sources reporting it.

He certainly tagged them in his tweet

Would be quite out of the blue (which probably means it's going to happen)

Unless he is popping in after he checks out the shitty blue in the dark side.... this one is fecked for us reds

Sucks to be a Dortmund fan. The players just don't want to stick around.

I think City will just throw the absolute bank at Dortmund if they want him. I fully expect them to smash some spending records this summer.

United too.
This is the only reason why I'd see Dortmund selling especially after the other major departures....

In all seriousness I think City will have bid at least 80 million

Well they can still sell 5-6 players to add a few more quality pieces. 23 players are normal, when you consider that Passlack, Mor, Merino and Pulisic are still very young.

Could be a right-sided forward:

Agüero----
Sterling------------Aubamayang
--------De-Bruyne------------
Gündoğan---------X----------
Man did you have to put that up, im only after eating..... well sterling(there is still some hope)

Could be a right-sided forward:

Agüero----
Sterling------------Aubamayang
--------De-Bruyne------------
Gündoğan---------X----------
Fernandinho could do a decent job next to Gundogan in that line up.

X will be Fernandinho, he's one of the most underrated CMs in the league! Very excited by that line up. Add in Laporte and a new LB, with Pep at the helm we should be in for an exciting season.

Brilliant move by Bayern btw. Let Pep go and destroy Dortmund even further and this time they dont even have to pay for it.

Does he really suit Pep's style? most teams defend deep against Pep's teams which offsets the chance of Auba running in behind the defenders. Yes, theres much more to his game, but thats one of his main strengths. Surely there are forwards that would suit Peps possession based system more than Auba and surely he would suit Zidane's Madrid or even a Mourinho team more than Pep's city.

Even if he played the Pedro sort of role, it would require a no. 9 with the capabilities of messi to create space for those kinds of runs and a defense stupid enough to play a high line. I just dont see how this makes sense unless Pep's about to surprise us all with some great change in tactics.(maybe my understanding of his tactics is too simplistic?)

So could be:

--------------Agüero---------------
De-Bruyne------------Aubamayang
---------------Silva------------------
Gündoğan---------Fernandinho----

Why would they sell for any less? They don't want to lose him at any cost actually so they are going to ask for crazy money.

I mean seriously why do you think they would/should sell him for a reasonable price if they don't want to lose him at all.

Expecting Ibra to be on 600K is totally unfounded, since I don't think we are facing much if any competition for signing a agining striker, even of his calibre.

Because there's no way City pay 150M for him!

He's been very reliable as well this past season or so. There is definitely interest then, just remains to be seen whether we can actually sign him.

Yeah he was pretty good last summer along with that Tolmie guy.

So could be:

--------------Agüero---------------
De-Bruyne------------Aubamayang
---------------Silva------------------
Gündoğan---------Fernandinho----
Who needs defending, eh.

So we put Auba on the wing and think that's great? Really don't think that's great, would be more worried if they would spend that on a world class right winger. Sometimes too much is too much. Chelsea signed Shevchenko and tried to make it work, we tried it with Falcao, Rooney and van Persie, which would never have worked either even if you ignore his injuries. I am fine if they waste already 100m on a position which won't do that much difference imo and I like how we rather sign someone like Ibra to make it work with Martial and Rashford, but muppets always want the biggest muppet hysteria

------Fernandinho--Gundogan-------
De Bruyne-----------------------Silva
-------Aubameyang-Aguero----------

Not too shabby.

Which cost even higher wages. So how do we do it? This would by the way also mean the replacing of around half the squad in a single window. A window including an International tournament and a shorter Pre season, which also includes a pretty big promotion tour. When has something like this ever happened?

I also ask myself with whom City is supposed to have talked from us. Watzke + Zorc have been pretty busy signing players this week and there were certainly no officials of City in Dortmund. That would certainly resulted in something, anything in the German press.

yes but the real question is is Martial, Zlatan & Rashford better than Aguero, Auba & De Bruyne
No ofcourse but people need to realise that it is not about individuals but about team. Just look what Leicester did. Still I think we will get an upgrade on the wing and maybe at number 10. So in reality could be:

new winger - new number 10 - Martial
----------------Zlatan

It is just a question which two we will get for a winger or number 10 role.
