He might have got bored and left halfway through it.

where is the confirmation, please don't give false headlines....
Heh, love it on SSN they show a few clips of Jones making great challenges on Hernandez and Giggs, then they show the new Arsenal defender, Jenkinson, ballooning one over the bar in his highlight.
Just saw the link few posts above... says 17ml..
Thats quite a lot.. I know he is young but is he that good?
Not that this is the right thread for it, but Djourou was tremendous for the most part of the season. Though for whatever reason his form dipped after he came back from a few weeks lay-off with a shoulder. I don't know where he stands ATM, but he can play midfield too so I think he's a very good option to have in the squad. You have to keep in mind he's missed years of development time thanks to injuries, so is still catching up compared to other 24 year old international CB's.
Vermaelen is obviously our best defender. He's just a class act all-round, though he's not huge by any means and can be monstered by the big power-forwards. Djourour and Kos are quite similar in their key attributes, all three are quite classy defenders but none are the big gorilla defenders ala Vidic, that you need to complement each other's games.
We need a big defender with PL experience to come in, someone like Samba would be ideal. He just needs to attack the ball and marshal defences like Campbell used to, and allow Vermaelen/Kos/Djourou to mop up.
The Squid's a bit of a joke, his promising start didn't translate into anything when we needed it. Still, he was never going to be our first choice, and was unfortunately thrust into the limelight thanks to injuries to Vermaelen, Djourour and Kos throughout the season. Obviously Wenger wasn't planning on using him as much as he had to, but that's just how it goes sometimes.
As for signings. I expect there to be a fair bit of player movement this season. Both Denilson and Bendtner will be shipped out, which should fetch us a tidy sum. And it also means we'll need to sign at least another midfielder and a forward - I hope.
Since we have quiet a few defenders now, what are the chances he is loaned back to Blackburn?
Connor Wickham getting treatment on ankle after (fair) challenge by Phil Jones. Trying to run it off #engU21s
Wickham now coming off, hobbling away from #engU21s training

I'd be surprised if he was loaned back, especially as it looks as if 2 of our defenders are about to be sold to Sunderland.Since we have quiet a few defenders now, what are the chances he is loaned back to Blackburn?
vbnmu said:Now that Pool have seemingly lost out on the lad, could they go all out for Shawcross. Afterall Dalglish is going all English.
So how similar are the two players, Jones and Shawcross? And which one is the better one?

I bet Pearce is the guy nobody tells a secret
I wouldn't expect any real updates on this now until after the under 21's tournament, seems all but signed though

Just shown him autographing a United shirt at the U21s training session.
Damn u-21 tournament preventing United from announcing signings
That's extremely high praise considering how good Smalling was for us this year, and the potential he showed for the future. He's definitely better than smalling
