PGA and European Tour Golf 2016

Something needs to happen for Rory soon. He's having one of those annoying rounds where he just 'meh's through it doing not a lot wrong but not a lot right. Every shot Spieth picks up is building his confidence and he'll end up pulling away.

He takes an absolute age to take the shot but can't complain when he gets it in more often than not.

Langer! What a round he's having.

Rory isn't getting his approaches closer to the hole than Spieth, he's never going to pick up shots that way. Day back in it.

He's a freak with that putter. They should test it for lasers.

You know that when they show someone who is +9 on a par 3 that his shot is either going in, or hitting the pin or lipping out.

Rory doesn't look committed or confident at all standing over putts. 2 years ago you were confident he was going to sink them from 30 feet but right now I wouldn't back him from 8.

He's not trusting his reading of the green at all, that's why he's leaving so many miles short, he doesn't have the faith in his line.

I reckon he's losing the tournament today. Doesn't look up for it at all and Spieth doesn't look like dropping too many shots. Rory will leave himself too much to do by the end of the day.

Another wild tee shot, right up against a tree.

I had high hopes for Rory going into the weekend but he's throwing it away.

Oh Rory!! Having a very poor round.

And that's him gone I'd say. Frustrating because he'll probably come out and shoot 6 under par tomorrow and lose by 2 shots. Just hasn't been focused, aggressive or accurate enough today.

Rory played maybe the worst hole I've ever seen from him, and he may pick up a shot here!

Spieth has a remarkable ability to shrug off a feck up and go and birdie the next hole.

Jason Day is also good at that.

What does Spieth do while the other player is playing or when the cameras aren't on him? It seems like he stands around scratching himself, then waits till his playing partner has played and the camera is on him before he starts thinking about what he's going to do. At length. For fecking ages.

If Rory can sort his head out and calm down here, finish within 4 or 5 of the lead, I still wouldn't rule him out tomorrow.

Come on Matsuyama, missed chance there.
