Isn't it supposed to player of the year rather than player of the season? The whole timing seems odd.
Well it was voted for in February so it misses a much larger chunk of the season than that.

I would personally have Evans in defence but I doubt his fellow professionals will have picked upon him being involved in more clean sheets than any other CB for the champions this season, not to mention his general performances being genuinely brilliant for the most part of the season.
The setup is for Bale to get the trophy. Votes of United sympathizers would be split for RvP and Carrick, then Mata and Hazard for Chelsea.
I can't think of many who would actually pick Hazard over Mata so I doubt Chelsea's vote will be split too much. Definitely agree ours will be though, it always is when we have multiple players shortlisted.

Hard to disagree too much with that team. The goalkeeper one is tough, there are a good few candidates but off the top of my head it seems most of the top keepers have also had a couple of blinding errors. Rafael might get in over Zaba. Fellaini could be pipped to it by a number of midfield players, but I can't thinkof many who have been outstanding in that position this season other than Carrick, maybe Dembele instead?
The front four has to be pretty much nailed on, unless Michu gets it over Suarez due to the latter being a sour cnut.

I really doubt Rafael will get in. Wasn't even acknowledged for the young player of the year award. Probably go to Zabaleta instead. Agree on the rest and Jagielka is a good shout.

Agreed. Too many seem to be going off the hipster hype and the desire to appear impartial. He's only started 18 league games. Kompany's probably had a better season, but is judged to much higher standards.

Yes he has, he's 19 (well just turned 20), it's his first season in the PL and has not looked out of place whatsoever. He's been seriously seriously impressive, makes defending look easy he's been that good.
I would have Jagielka over him in the team of the season. Rio as well.
