I like all our players to have two feet, it's beneficial.
If Gotze was slower, he would run backward. He is a good player but he can't provide what Pedro can.
We're all praising him for making well timed runs but I'm more concerned if he's ever going to receive a proper through ball.
You can see how much of a difference it makes with Darmian instead of Valencia.

He will transform us from the efficient yet dire team that played today, not because he is a truly fantastic player but because he will give us pace, and will allow Mata to be the number 10, and Memphis to be the left winger. That backed up by Schneiderlin, and Carrick/Schweinstegier will win most games, my only concern would be the quality of the back up players.

I just think if he had him playing today, we'd have created one or two more good chances. Not sure what's going on with this.
I think he will come in and stuck out like a sore thumb for quality. Not one of our attacking players is above a 7/10. At Barca, he is surrounded by 10s. He will probably look majestic here.
Lets wait and see about Depay, but I mainly agree on the rest. I think Mata is better than 7.

More chance of Mata being benched for Pedro and Young remaining wide left, with Memphis still central.
He would be our most exciting wingman since Ronaldo I think. They don't play a like but he's in his prime. He's dynamic, direct and if he settles will be highly influential (providing he can deal with the knocks).

Well, it's not as good as we have been previous. But it's not average. The likes of Juan Mata are 8/10 players I'd say.
Which would leave us with Mata, Herrera, and arguably Fellaini all fighting Memphis for that one position.
I am of the firm belief that once we get that pace on the right side which Mata is so clearly lacking LvG will switch Memphis to his PSV position, then Mata/Herrera to the AM and we will be transformed.
Then why isn't he swapping him there now if we need pace on the wings? He's faster than Young..

Not as a winger he's not.
I like Mata, but he's a luxury player. He needs his teammates to be playing well, in order to play well himself.
Then you lose a lot of pace.
I don't think swapping Young for Herrera loses that much pace. It also means getting the best out of Memphis (position) and the best out of Mata (link up) and the best out of Herrera.
I'm not saying that it's a bad idea, I just think that it's what LVG has in mind. Personally I would play Pereira on the right, Mata or Herrera in the middle and Depay on the left.
Personally I'd go with the Memphis-Herrera-Mata combo but yours would be preferable as well. Just think Memphis will be far more dangerous coming from out wide against a full back. Hopefully Pedro signs and the personnel get shuffled a bit.
We defo need him in, Mata done ok on the wing but Pedro on the RW, Memphis LW and Mata or Herrera through the middle and we will cause teams all sorts of problems.
Because Mata is slow on the right side and there is no viable pacey option there just now, Depay can't play there so he plays him the middle to help counter that for now, he is faster than Young yes, but if he drops Young for Memphis now and play Herrera in the middle, and Mata on the right then he thinks we'll be just too slow, it's a means to an end for now.
I might be completely wrong, but if Memphis is truly playing behind Rooney all season then we have a problem, first that Young will play all the time, and second that Herrera, and Mata won't play very much, and Fellaini might as well go.
Get him here as soon as possible. Our attack is depressing to watch.

Voted for first option,tho nothing against us signing him.If we played formation wise like i would like,then we might not need him,give a chance to boys as cover,but with Memphis as this free role number 10 role in 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-1-1,4-4-2 w/e then we might need another wide man.
