To be fair, if I were him I wouldn't risk missing out on the Champions League for a season. It'd be quite understandable.

Why stop there then, may as well wait until January and see if we're in the knock-outs.

If he's worried about us beating Brugge then I have no idea why he wants to come here at all.

If we pull out over 5m I would seriously worry about the management. Unless they are trying to sneak the fee down and are just being patient it's crazy

Media inventing things and people panicking that we're haggling over few million. Where have I seen that before.
Oh yes morgan deal.

A couple of pages back someone asked whether Pedro really has a € 30M release clause or if it's just a gentleman's agreement. Here is what Barca's new sports director says:

"Please buy him!" is what I'm getting from this. The only place I've seen that has reported we're not meeting the buyout clause if the fecking daily mirror. Sport, MD, Catalunya radio(?) are all reporting it's close.

We all know that he's a hard working teamplayer but here's a video purely focussed on his finishing (straight to the point with decent music as well):

He really is unbelievable two-footed, left right left right, he doesn't even seem to think about which foot to use. A really underrated ability, I always hate it as a viewer when a player is hesitant to cross/pass/shoot because he would have to use his weak foot.
Added to the fact that he knows how to play in a possession based style, can be used on both wings and the fee seem to be reasonably low, this transfer would really tick all the boxes, I hope it goes through.

Didn't realize how good of a finisher he was, surely he'd be a better 9 than a winger?

this will be wrapped up next week. we need to worry about our GK situation not pedro.

Has there actually been any evidence strongly linking him to us?

Woodward talked with the press and that same day a flurry of reports came out about us wanting to trigger the clause. Also Ballague mentions that we have agreed terms with Pedro. Ballague is about as good as they come when it comes to Spanish based players.

Certain that we're stalling whilst holding out for bale. Once it becomes 100% that bale won't come we'll close the Pedro deal.

Absolutely no chance what so fecking ever in a month of fecking sundays are we getting Bale. If we are to go for someone we should just go for it, feck Bale, he's not going to leave Real.

If It is true we are haggling over a couple of million, coming from a club who have blown silly amounts of cash and over paid plenty over the past two years it's not good.

Here is a genuine top quality player for an amount that most would barely bat an eyelid these days? If I was Pedro I'd probably feel insulted

Has woody all of a sudden become less reckless, even though it's actually a good deal for once?

Pedro is quality? Especially for £20m.

He's a good player, but I would like someone better, a top player if possible, we already have a lot of good players. I don't see how the price is relevant, our net spend so far is like 15m.

I don't know if anyone better is available on this position, tho.

I suspect its paper talk to create a little bit of drama to the story, "United won't pay the agreed amount" shite that always pops up at some point in the "process".

Reality is we either ain't interested at all or we've agreed to complete the deal after the Super Cup/our first game to remove the unccessary attention when we couldn't get the deal done in time for it anyway (assuming we were also waiting on the Di Maria deal to go through which was also delayed a couple days).

The price is relevant because it'll matter less if he doesn't work out. He could be a squad player for that price.

Your last point sums this up! The only even slightly realistic players I'd like to see ahead of him would be Bale, Reus or Griezmann as they all have decent goalscoring records from wide, but all 3 are extremely unlikely and certainly not available.

Maybe we're waiting for his €30m clause to run out - so we can pay the original one of €150m instead man?

That's how we roll. feck yeah!!

Nah. The way this transfer works best is that he play wide, where he works hard and tracks back, isn't selfish and won't hurt our link up play while still probably being good for a very healthy 8-12 league goals if he gets 35 starts.

As I write that, I have no idea why Mourinho didn't sign him and just sell Cuadrado (who he seems to no rate) back to Italy to pay for it.

No, don't think he'll acccept that. Only reason he's moving is that he doesn't have a starting place in the squad. So unless he starts regularly I think he will again move like ADM next season. He's been with Barca entire career, he's not accepting a squad player role here, I don't see why he would accept that in United.

I'm sure I've read this post before...

People doubting pedro for 20m, who else is going to be available for that quality at that price?

Felipe Anderson is going to be 30m and he's not half the player pedro is.

Griezmann or bale are going to be double that price, so it's really a obvious choice IMO.

There's no reason to panic. If this does not happen, it will be because we've had a breakthrough on a more marquee name (such as Bale (which won't happen)). We will buy an ADM replacement.
