There's no reason to panic. If this does not happen, it will be because we've had a breakthrough on a more marquee name (such as Bale (which won't happen)). We will buy an ADM replacement.

That's all well and good, but we are now at the point in the year when actual football matches need to be played. 5 or 6 points won or lost in August are just as important as any others come May. And players that we are confident we'll sign in the future don't help win points.

I think Mali_Zeus may be a WUM.

Constantly popping up all over the place this summer with 4 or 5 word posts about what a disaster everything is. Or how Van Gaal will just play x player out of position anyway.

Very tedious and offers nothing.

At least other negative posters (e.g. Sam) offer up a sound opinion from time to time and try to base their hysteria in fact even if misguided.

He's parodying the hysteria, I like him.

Think it's a parody. It could be funny if it was a mildly witty or imaginative poster doing it, but it's unfortunately not.

Thing is my posts are not so different to some of the stuff that has been said here in last few weeks.
There are some lets say negative posters like Sam who have good arguments and thats what I agree with.
but some are really taking the piss and are hysterical like hell.
I even saw someone writing heads should roll cause of ddg situation.

Fight fight fight!
This is RedCafe it wouldn't be the place it is without negative knee jerk rubbish being spouted. Best domain on the Internet

No, don't think he'll acccept that. Only reason he's moving is that he doesn't have a starting place in the squad. So unless he starts regularly I think he will again move like ADM next season. He's been with Barca entire career, he's not accepting a squad player role here, I don't see why he would accept that in United.
He'll have to accept it if he turns out shit like Di Maria. That's my point. If he isn't as expected then for only c£20m it won't be that bad.

Surely this transfer could of been done and dusted fairly quickly, can only think that it's Barcelona holding it up because they're keen for him to play in the super cup.

Barcelona can't hold it up if United pay the clause. If they try to save some pennies they don't have much power in the negotiation.

You expect a world cup winner, CL winner to be a squad player at 28. How many such players exist?

I know you do, I do as well. I never said that I don't. I was saying to the bloke who said he wants a better player than Pedro to come in that he'll be quality, BUT if he doesn't work out and is forced onto the bench as a squad player (like Di Maria), then it wouldn't be as bad as the Di Maria situation because he's only going to cost £20m.

Could be our "Sanchez" signing. Well he probably wont score as many goals but how much of an upgrade would he give us on the right wing? It would be amazing if we could field a front 4 of Rooney, Depay, Mata/Herrera and Pedro.

I feel for him. From the service he's had at Barcelona to come to this United team where he'll have zero service is going to be hard on him,

Like how Di Maria felt last season which is why I partly sympathised with him. When you look around and find Young in front of you. Hopefully Pedro has a spine though.

Replacing Young with Pedro will make a big difference. Young works hard and is a good back-up player, but he rarely beats his man and his crossing is average at best.

A lot of our attack is focused on providing 1v1 situations for Young. It makes absolutely no sense to buy Pedro for that position. Hes not a proper left winger. Would rather see Depay on the left and Pedro playing as a forward off Rooney.

Pedors pace and work rate would be better used if he stretched defenses by always staying on the shoulder of the CBs rather than being 1v1 against a RB.

Pedro will be a fantastic signing for this United team. He has always impressed me with his ability to unlock defenses and he is a surprisingly good finisher.

At least he'll be on the pitch with us.

We need goals and Pedro can provide that. I hope we can have this deal wrapped up in no time

I think he'd be a really good signing and all, but this idea that he's ideal as a striker, or will be able to fill in for Rooney if he's injured, seems pretty fanciful to me. We need a proper striker who can play up on his own and he doesn't fit that, IMO.
