What was the last reasonably reliable piece of info we had regarding this transfer? The consensus seems that it's inevitable now.

Just posted some on the twitter thread. Hunter said it's his penultimate game tonight possibly as things stand. They next play on Wednesday.
 
Not had a bad first half, missed a sitter but then created two chances all on his own. Playing from the left as well rather than his usual right sided position, be worried Ashley Young....
 
This feels like the Schneiderlin saga. It's obvious we should sign him, nobody knows what the feck is going on... then BOOM!! Pedro is depicted with a Man United shirt and the Woody celebrations commence.

Who are barcelona playing in that match? That was a very nice run by Pedro...maybe he isn't as bad a replacement as I thought he would be

I wish Pedro was the replacement for like...Young and we were getting a top class player to replace Di Maria. It's a shame that Bale and Reus aren't available as they would be perfect. We should have just went for Sanchez when he was leaving Barcelona...big mistake. Especially annoying considering how many of us were desperate for us to join the transfer battle for him

Pedro is definitely an upgrade on young, but he doesn't have Di maria's pace. He's similar to giggs in his prime. One of those players who just seems to have the ball stuck to his feet. Twists and turns, and has a remarkable awareness (almost telepathic like) of his team mates around him. Shooting isn't his strong point, but he does get goals. Sanchez is more physical / atheletic and better at shooting, but Pedro will torment defenses rotten, and lay it on a plate for Rooney.
It'd be a good signing.

He's not got a cannon of a shot but is one of the most accurate around.

Yeah of course he would be an upgrade on the mediocre Ashley Young (despite his massive fanbase on here recently). I never actually saw giggs in his prime. I started watching United in 2004. What year was Giggs in his prime anyway? I would like to have a look on Youtube now

He's not a signing that I would complain about because he is at a high level but...we are selling a player who we expected to be a real driving force in attack. Di Maria completely failed to produce that but I wish we could go get Bale or Reus to have a second go of it if that makes sense.

Doesn't Pedro always play on the left? Would this not be probelmatic with Depay? (Unless LVG continues with his weird Depay as N10 and 4-2-3-1)

Yeah he loves those one on one situations with the keeper. One of the most composed players around in those situations. He likes to pass it into the far corner around the keeper with effortless ease.

If we sign him I will celebrate with my own woody.
 
It's a no brainer replacement for Di Maria, probably the best winger that is available at the moment, seeing as Reus and Bale won't be moving.
