True but I'm just not feeling Pedro..

Plus Depay is better on the wing IMO and then we have Mata who can do fantastic out there, with Young to also play.

With Januzaj/Rooney through the middle.

Plus with a 3 of Depay/Januzaj/Mata in behind Rooney, these 3 can literally interchange into any of the 3 positions behind him with Rooney also being able to drop into the #10 position, it offers potentially brilliant positional switch play.
Pedro can play both left and right so he could jump in instead of both Memphis and Mata.

Would prefer pedro over mata personally.

A front 3 of depay Rooney and pedro is fluid, dynamic and has goals.

I voted "yes but sign another top attacker as well"

The word "another" should not be there though IMO. When I say "top attacker" I mean the sort of player LVG is talking about in his recent interview.

I don't really get it, if he comes then he can give both Depay and Mata a run for their money on the wings and people are worried about what?
He would be a great addition to the squad, and a needed one with Di Maria looking to be on the way out.
People seem to underrate him massively as a wing-version of Mario Gomez (not by frame, lol)

If anyone listened the Andy Mitten/Odgen podcast, Andy said Pedro's release clause was £15m.

Andy should know, as he is quite close to Pedro. £15m for Pedro is a no-brainer.

Andy Mitten worked from Barcelona at some point, right?

He still lives in Barcelona. Knows Luis Enrique personally, as well as Pedro. If he says the clause is £15m, it will be from the best sources.
22m has been quoted a lot... and 22m euros just happens to be £15m (and a bit)
probably the tabloids doing their usual mix up between £ and euros and rounding up / down to suit

Well if that is the case take it we just waiting for Di Maria to go. No point looking weak in negotiations by signing his replacement before he leaves.

£15m for Pedro we should not even think about. Instant transfer.

£15m sounds too good to be true but if it is true then there should be no hesitation. Won't find a better player for that price.

Are you serious? I thought it was 22m pounds, 30m euros.

22m euros is just over 15m pounds. You sure he didn't say it was £22m and you thought he said euro? £15m seems too good to be true.

Mitten said Pedro doesn't speak English. Is that a red flag? has a dog called Ronaldo :nono:.

So Pedro has a dog called Ronaldo...

And yeah, Mitten said 22m€, 15m£.

22m€ or 15m£ really shouldn't be an issue.
He will give us at least 4 years great service. A talent we shouldn't allow to go to rivals in the BPL, especially at that price.

Whether it's £22M or £15M it's still a good price for Pedro.

Absolutely man - £22m quid is still a bargain for a cultured top-class player like Pedro & he'd be free as a bird playin with United & not living under anyone's shadow like he was at Barca.

€22m / £15m, would be an absolute snip & a massive coup for the club..

Listen at 10 minutes and 30 seconds, Andy says "22m euros, 15m pounds. It's nothing" when talking about Pedro's clause.

@Mali_Zeus @Offside @Mitchell Nicholas @prarek @Sarni @sun_tzu @JPRouve @Mainoldo

General transfer talk starts at about 6mins in

Funny if Mitten has said this just as The Barca president says Pedro has renewed (remains to be seen of its true).

Mitten really does have sod all transfer sources. Complete chancer on that front.

He did renew, but that is nothing new is it? He renewed in April.

EDIT: In June.

To each his own, but on uwsonline he has called plenty of transfers before the wider media has picked up on it.

None of our attackers are allowed to be 'free as a bird' under Louis.

Thats not true. I expect Memphis to be free just as Robben was at Bayern and in Netherlands. If Pedro will be free also even better.

Well there seems to be an insistence on our wide men staying on the touch-line from what I hear. Obviously, the 10 role is different, as that is the role Memphis is playing and Robben played. By definition of the role, there is no particular blade of grass to be confined to. All the other attacking roles are rigid though, in terms of the 7,11 and the 9.

You kind of need a motivated seller to complete a transfer. With either of the big clubs in Spain, that is not the case. Best to move on instead of waste our time if they are dithering on selling him on.
