How??Pedro is not at Sanchez' level though. Never was and probably never will be.

How??
Sanchez is better, but I don't agree with the notion that they are two levels apart. Its very simple - Sanchez is the better player, both now and when he was at Barca. Pedro at 28 is unlikely going to get much better, and if anything will start to lose his pace - a key facet to his game.

Pedro has been the better player in Sanchez first 2 years at Barca, Sanchez in his last year. He's also just a year older, it's not like they are worlds apart. Its very simple - Sanchez is the better player, both now and when he was at Barca. If people said Messi only looks godly because Xavi and Iniesta are next to him, it is no surprise that Pedro was 'only good in Peps system'.
I was upset about all that, but then I realized that for some people Rooney isn't very good, Benzema is overrated, Phil Jones is 31 years old, Messi is world class but not that world class, Ramos and Boateng are a bit shit.
So Pedro being an average player and not a good or very good dribbler despite visible evidences isn't surprising.

He's never been the most gifted player; not a great dribbler or passer, not especially creative and while he's relatively quick he doesn't have the explosive pace of Bale, Hazard etc (certainly he's nowhere near as talented as Messi, Henry, Ibrahimovic, Villa, Sanchez).
The reason he was so successful in posssibly the greatest club side ever was because he understood Guardiola's system perhaps better than any of them (they also worked together at Barca B). He is versatile, hardworking and selfless; most of his best work probably came off the ball, making runs into the channels and stretching the play.
Barca's system hasn't been quite so rigid since Guardiola left and it seems their current front three is more about showcasing the unbelievable individual talent they have on offer; it's no surprise Pedro is struggling for gametime. He's always been really good tactically and I think he could do pretty well in Van Gaal's more restrictive system, especially since in my view we're sorely lacking someone to make those runs in behind.
For something around 30 Mio EUR he might be worth
But why is Pep not looking in that direction? I think he is still searching for another winger...
They just signed a winger a few weeks back...For something around 30 Mio EUR he might be worth

He's 28?! I assumed he was about 24. He must have broken through very late then
If we aspire to be at Barcas level then we should really look beyond their squad players.
Exactly, for years i've been delighted we never went after scrubs like Yaya and Sanchez.
Because Pedro is definitely at Toure and Sanchez' level...
Toure was never a Barca 'scrub' either, City just seduced him with that Busta Rhymes Arab money.
Toure was moved because Pep wanted Busquets as his DM, he never wanted to leave and has spoken openly about how much he would love to go back.
Pedro doesn't get in the Barca side because he has Messi/Neymar/Suarez ahead of him, what players in all of world football are getting in ahead of those 3? They would basically relegate anyone to a "squad player".

Actually Yaya wanted to leave for game time. Got benched for Busi.
What stats? He has been pretty good for the past two seasons now. Pedro would be great us because of his ability to play as an inside forward and years of experience playing in a fast paced possession like system which would further bolster our team.If we lose ADM and sign Pedro to replace him I will view this window much less brightly then I currently am.
I'm sorry, he's just not United quality IMO, and the stats prove it. Say what you want about ADMs season, but when he was being brought over he wasn't being compared to Walcott or Navas, but against the best in the world. Why would we downgrade at a position, especially with a player who has been regressing?
Yes, in the same way that Park has been a better player for us than Di María.Even though they are very different players, I'd say Pedro has been a better player for Barcelona than Alexis.
Sanchez was one of the best players in the Premier league last season, before that he was just a good Barcelona squad player.
I think that says more about Barca to be honest.

That's all true, but comparing Pedro to Sanchez or Toure is crazy. The latter two would walk into any team in the world outside of Barca, you can't say the same for Pedro.
Dont get it either, bar de Gea and Schweinsteiger none of our players would start for them. He's two footed and is technically very good. Has good pace and is a brilliant finisher from wide positions. Let's be honest, all our forward line would probably be benched at Barca, so not sure why people are using that to beat him with.
Over the years I felt we bought players who I thought weren't of the required standard to play for our club but I absolutely believe Pedro is of the required standard.
Was always a stupid argument saying because a player is on the bench at Madrid or Barca means we shouldn't go for them either. Nobody is getting ahead of Neymar, Messi or Suarez, apart from Cristiano Ronaldo.Dont get it either, bar de Gea and Schweinsteiger none of our players would start for them.
