Pedro specifically mentions us in an interview, Van Gaal says he is what we're missing and the press can write it. And we screw it up. All over a nothing amount because now we're obsessed with not being push overs. IDIOTS.

What a load of f'n shit!! If we're stuck with Ashley Young again this season...

I'm having a meltdown right now.

Not really bothered, nor do I suspect LVG is. He's 28 and not exactly a world beater.

Except that he has literally been part of the best team in the world... both at club and international level.

I'm being pedantic... but yeah, he's not the greatest winger alive, but he is currently the best available... unless Reus randomly goes on the market or something.

Not overly bothered by this, i quite like this Memphis-Januzaj-Mata axis. It's the striker position that worries me and Pedro wouldn't have solved that anyway.
Because we never get injuries :wenger:

Anyway, Pedro is more of a "impact super sub" player, which would have been very useful

Voted 'No' on him joining in the first place when the vote came up so not overly fuzzed he's not coming. He's a good player but I expect better if we're going to replace one of Mata and Rooney. Also really want Pereira and Januzaj to be given chances this season.

Mata and Roonery maybe better players, but none of them will be better than Pedro on the wings. And none of them have been in terrific form lately.

Not really that bothered with Pedro but I really hope this is all bollocks and Pedro is about to fly to Carrington in our matachopper... just to show up these opportunistic know-nothings who have spotted the turn in events broken by other outlets/twitter and decided it's time to act as if he's in the know.

Could this be what's changed van Gaal's mind? Maybe he feels the out and out striker signing is now more important?

Eden Hazard is more recent, but I'd prefer to remember the Mikel one :D
Oh forgot about Hazard. Chelsea seem more ruthless than United when it comes to getting a deal done and are more prepared to do what needs to be done to get the player.

I had a feeling this was happening since we haven´t been tearing up trees to get him ...
LVG seems to have other ideas.. If it is to get Adnan on the pitch more I am all for it..

Yep, we fecked up. We're looking like such a joke after a very promising start to the transfer window.

United are going to have to pull off sonething amazing.

Think we are done for this window.

Heh. We're world class at ending our interests in players once we've already lost the race.

Calm down.

Pedro will do well for chelsea, but it's hardly a disaster from out point of view, we're better off landing a striker to challenge rooney.

We could have easily secured this if reports are to be believed. There's no way we didn't sign him over €5m, I just don't see it.

Am not that fussed if we miss him, we have enough options out wide. Likewise indont think he is a massive improvement on what we have.
Last, if mourinho guarantees first team status, it's a better move for him.

Next.

For everyone saying "It's fine if there are other targets" ... who are these other targets exactly? Nobody else seems available, apart from De Bruyne, and he's off to City.

Unless you think we're fine as is... somehow.
Well it is fine because i don't believe for a second we didn't buy a Pedro because we hesitated.

It was probably LvG decision that we are better without him, we already have a big squad and if LVG don't think Pedro will improve us as much as he would like it is better that we don't buy him just too add the numbers.
It is fine being a muppet wishing all the players coming to United but we should buy just the players our manager (and not our fans) think they can improve us.

And about other targets thing. There is only two possibilities, either someone became available which we will find out in the coming days or LVG think some of our youngsters deserve a chance which i think it is not wrong thing to do. He mentioned Pereira in his yesterday post-match interview when he was asked how good is Memphis now compared to Memphis in the WC with Holland. We already saw that LVG gave Januzaj opportunity in 2 out of 3 competitive matches this season, maybe he want to give opportunity to Pereira and Wilson too

I think so. Memphis and Mata are nailed on starters whilst it's just the CAM position that's up for grabs.

I do hope he lands that striker though..

He'll be on the right I would think. Capable on either side and when he was a regular for Barca it was on the right more often than not.

So what happens to the fan loved Willian? Probably doesn't score enough and Pedro will get ahead of him assuming he does well obviously.

Wait, so the guy is sat in London and the British press are still playing catch up to the Spaniards!

And yet, every time they utter a word about United people lap it up? Why do you do it yourselves?
