There aren't any top class strikers available. Memphis gets injured we are screwed.I'm with you, would much prefer to play Adnan, Depay, Rooney and get a new striker in.
Pedro, ideally wants to stay at Barcelona, would much prefer to target someone who wants to be here.
There is no legally binding release clause. Neymar is injured so of course Barca wanted to string it out till the cup games were done. And obviously that left time for Chelsea to suddenly offer a stint in London to the player. If Pedro really wanted United he'd be going there. All we had to do was pay the money, if Chelsea could wait, why couldn't we?
For everyone saying "It's fine if there are other targets" ... who are these other targets exactly? Nobody else seems available, apart from De Bruyne, and he's off to City.
Unless you think we're fine as is... somehow.
We're fine for now. Depay is blooming and Mata is doing well on the right.
Nearly every Spanish and English paper said he was there and it wasn't denied by the club. He was definitely there.
This........Pedro is a top player but Memphis, Mata and Rooney are all starters and then Adnan will become a mainstay with games in the team.....So I am happy if LVG decided that developing Adnan is a better choiceI'm not bothered as this would allow Adnan more game time.
Young has proven to be a decent player, not good enough to be a starter but certainly enough as a back up for a top club.1) They both can't play every single game. 2) If Depay gets injured we're properbly buggered.
No, They actually paying 28 with 2 add ons....
Soon united shall say we were never interested in Pedro. Shame as him and memphis on the wings and mata behind rooney would have been a great sight to see.
I'm pretty sure you've just made people up for the sake of your post.
I'd like Pedro but regardless of whether it's him or not, we need to add one attacker with pace before the deadline.
And I like to think we will.
Not really that bothered either way. Would much prefer a main striker and put Rooney in Mata's position.
Am i the only one who is not that bothered. If we would really wanted him we would offer £21m with no hesitation. Maybe some other players became available and our interest in Pedro dropped.
I won't be bothered if there other attacking options available. But it's slim pickings right now at the top level.

the only viable reason for this surely has to be Pedro playing predominantly on the left, wanting regular football and us unable to guarantee it with the potential of Memphis
as I type I realise this is bullshit though as Pedro would be competing with Hazard for that role
You mean John Obi Mikel? Remember that?what happened the last time both us an chelsea were in for the same player?
Kai Rooney is more prolific than his dad atm. Maybe Wayne is pregnant with his wife.Voted 'No' on him joining in the first place when the vote came up so not overly fuzzed he's not coming. He's a good player but I expect better if we're going to replace one of Mata and Rooney. Also really want Pereira and Januzaj to be given chances this season.
What makes be slightly doubt this is that they bought Cuadrado in January, so would they really fork up more money on a winger?LvG better have one hell of a decent card up his sleeve if Pedro ends up at Chelsea! Makes sense that Mourinho would go in for him as he's well priced for what you would get and there are question marks over the fitness and/ or form of all of their strikers. These are the kind of signings that decide who are the real contenders and who are the also rans.
Pretty sure we'll have someone else in sight.
