I don't really understand why you guys are so desperate for Pedro. I've watched most of your first two games and this CL game and Mata hasn't been bad at all. He's played some beautiful through-balls and has looked dangerous. Yes, he gets brushed off the ball easily and is lightweight, but I think he's too good to ride your bench.
We need depth too. We can add Pedro this and Reus or Griezmann next year. Our backups for wing positions are.. Young. Maybe Januzaj and Pereira who both arent wingers. I may have missed someone. Add to that Mata isnt a winger and could work better as a nr. 10.
Because we want wide players playing wide, not central players shoehorned into the wide areas. Depay showed tonight exactly how that works, if we got Pedro doing the same the otherside it just changes our attacking dynamic completely.
Mata will slip into the role currently occupied by Adnan, those two will share it based on form I'd imagine.

Doesn't strike me as a Mourinho type player and I thought one reason he wanted to leave Barca was to express himself more? To show he's more than a support player? Well I doubt that would happen at Chelsea where he'd be expected to play a certain way for the good of the team.
But what about Cuadrado, and I thought this was Moses' season? Not fussed if he goes to Chelsea to be honest. I'd be happy if we get him, but non plussed if we don't. Strange mindset to be in!
Apparently were actively trying to sell Cuadrado. Moses is/was never going to be anything more than a squad player. I wouldn't even be surprised to see him gone completely either.

It doesnt have to make sense. Otamendi didnt make much sense for City either. After that loss, they have to buy and improve their squad. Pedro is cheap and would improve most teams.
I'd be annoyed if Chelsea got him - I really believe he can be the missing piece of the jigsaw for our at times dithering attack.
Sometimes they can be a good indicator of movement in the transfer market, but in cases like this it's almost certainly just fans reacting to the news of Chelsea's interest rather than some inside information that a few people are acting on.
I don't think loosing out on him would be the end of all, he is not THAT good. Still think he will come here though.
