Great touch there but keeper closed his shot down well.... If he comes, and I think he will, he'll be a huge improvement to our attack and have a huge impact on the league. Think a lot will be surprised at how good he is.

People underrate how high the standards are at a technical and intelligence level to be at barca, especially for so long.

Can't believe Woody is squabbling on a mere €5M euros or so.

I remember similar posts about us not getting deals done before the tour, how ridiculous is was that we weren't in for Schneiderlin (as the English Press weren't seriously linking us) and how we were dragging our heels while Liverpool stole a march on Depay.

Supposing Pedro gave his word and fully wants to come here. Then Barcelona wouldnt take our 30m offer 2/3 weeks ago because they wanted him for these matches. Why the hell would Woody not negotiate a better financially structured deal in the mean time? It makes sense to me.

The situation Barca were in Pedro couldn't really have waved or done anything, he had to get off as quickly as possible to not waste time. Can't read anything into it.

This has contract extension written all over it. I expect a tweet and a presentation tomorrow in the Camp Nou

My favourite post of the day.

He signed an extension very recently, it's about playing time.

Didn't seem emotional or anything to me. Was firing whoever replaced him on, believe it was Sandro or Munir, then went to take a seat on the bench looking tired.
cheers, if there is fans left at full time he may make more of a gesture

I can't believe people post shit like this when they haven't a fecking clue what goes on behind the scenes

I had a similar argument with people that were saying we were wrong to haggle over Schneiderlin, that we should just cough up the £30m it would probably take to sign him instead of messing around with low ball offers for £20m first.

Yet we finally wrapped him up for £24m after apparently opening the bidding with an "insulting" £20m bid.

The absolute mare @Sam had in Schneiderlin's thread still makes me chuckle.

Constantly throwing his toys out the pram and turned out to be wrong on just about every level.

Ballague pretty much said it will defo happen this week, and its just a case of how we pay the 30m (installments, or whatever we are proposing but Barca want one lump sum)

Balague has just confirmed that Ed was in Barcelona and the €30m has been agreed but leaked sources say it's just a case of determining whether that's €30m at once or €28m and 2 in add ons. He expects him to go. Says we have an agreement with him.

Seriously this s##t doesn't even make sense! Why would you negotiate less than 10% of a deal in terms of payment structure. It's near irrelevant! 50% maybe, 25% possibly. After that why bother! Sure we are not that desperate for every penny of cashflow!

Pretty sure the whole payment plan was a blip a while back and the only reason this hasn't happened yet is because of Neymar's mumps and Barcelona needing him for the cup games. Now they're over I predict it to be confirmed soon enough.

I think we are, we paid Herrera in one payment, iirc. We lack cashflow.

Not to Manchester United it isn't. If it was we'd hold out for more money for the likes of Nani, Van Persie and Rafael.

It is for every clubs, 5m is a lot of money for almost all the companies at the exception of real giants like Google.
