Would rather leave this situation alone if all he is gonna say when he leaves is "i never wanted to leave Barcelona, i was forced out..." Etc. This is what i expect seeing though its taken him so long to decide to come here or not.

Van Nisteelrooy and Beckham never wanted to leave and were essentially forced out. Did that stop them giving their best for the teams they played for after? There's a difference between being sad over something and being a complete snake ie Di Maria who we all knew wanted to join PSG and joined us as there was no one else better at the time. There's nothing stopping him being able to love another club and it's history and want to become a part of it, something of which the little rodent I mentioned earlier simply couldn't care less about. He always had it in his mind that if it got too hard over here, he'd be on the next plane to France. I can imagine they called him several times during the year reminding him that there's an easy way out and they're still willing to sign him and hence why his performances dropped massively.

Funny how you all get so concerned at silence. Yet, if a tweet went out from 'secret insider' saying "Pedro deal to be done tomorrow'' then you would all breath a sigh of relief that it is back on.

In other words, the lack of bullshit and guessing means this is ''dead in the water''

Must be pretty advanced if that's true. Reports last week did say Tuesday would be the day.

Yes, think it was Mitten who said weeks ago it wouldn't happen until after their Super Cup games. Looks spot on at this stage. Reckon it might hopefully be done in the next couple of days now.

Yep, this one looks like it's sorted. Now to start thinking up of hypothetical lineups that Van Gaal will never play :D

Nothing than better home a Newcastle debut.

Doing it right?

"Barca in holdout for decent price for player" shocker. In the current climate, United can surely understand that, can't they?

Just fecking pay the release clause, it's 22m pounds for someone like Pedro... Especially when you consider we have a net spend of like 15m for the season? Will be infuriating if he ends up at city because we want to reach 30m euros through installments instead of all up front.

And what can Pedro do that I can't? Bloody foreigners coming over here taking our jobs. Nige said this would happen.
I know him as Mr Farage didn't realise how chummy you were with him and his Pet name. I reckon Pedro will make Rooney look good playing up front, could you achieve that?

Seems that Woody is on his way back from Barca already, doesnt seem that it has went well then if hes returning already. Bit strange to fly out there considering he knows all the variables needed to complete this transfer so if its true he has went and not completed the deal then its slightly naïve to try and haggle over a few million to get someone we need.

If we haven't offered the money by now then it's due to one of four possible reasons. Either he isn't sure about coming here, Barca aren't sure about selling him, we aren't sure he's worth the money or isn't needed (hardly), or we're waiting because we think we can sign someone better.

Maybe he's been told City have a better offer on the table and United need to match it?

Why are we pissing about over pocket money? Just go Full Wood Mode, Ed. You know you want to.

I don't know how cheap we are actually expecting to get him in today's market, €30M is chicken feed for a player of his pedigree, I can't understand the haggling at this point with so little time left and LvG crystal clear on wanting a player of this ilk.

KDB staying at Wolfsburg we need to finalise this transfer ASAP or we could lose out to City.

Sure City will have known he is staying (if he is) for a few days now, this makes the Otamedi move make more sense, as they were never really going to blow £150 m + this summer, the worry of course now is it makes the rumblings of City getting involved with Pedro more believable.

Having said that if we can't still beat them off for a player who has a clear price, who we can offer a place in our starting team, and who we'd no doubt match whatever City are offering in wages, well then it's a poor do.

Or the player wants to come to United and we are trying to use that to skimp on the agreed price Barca have with Pedro.

Peter Kenyon, is that you?
