Could see a back 4 of:
Pedro----Darmain----Blind---Young
Pedro----Darmain----Blind---Young
Well thats a lie. For all the problems he had with Rivaldo, Rivaldo was voted the best player in the world when managed by LVG. He has also never had any issues with Arjen Robben in the 2 seperate times he has worked with him. Are they not flair players?LVG can't work with exceptional flair players. He needs consistency and to some degree predictability. That's why he's fallen out with do many big names over the years.
Replace Blind with Otamendi and we're looking all over the park.
If would be very unfair for Young to be dropped based on current form. It also sends a message to other players that it doesn't matter whether you're in form or not; you will still get dropped. Players need to have some inspiration to play well. Staying in the team is one of these.....and if they play in the right positions let's face it, it's not going to be:
------------Rooney------------
Memphis----Mata-----Pedro
It'll most likely be:
------------Rooney-----------
Young---Memphis---Pedro
.......which looks much less threatening.

This is why i think its bizarre that Herrera's seemingly out of favour when he has been exceptional.
Basically thisPeople have to understand Young is useless without Fellaini.
It only sends the message that if you're not good enough to start for United you won't start for United.
Young was pretty shit vs Spurs, Walker pretty much had him in his pocket and got the better of him every time. Last season is different to this season, clean slate and all.If would be very unfair for Young to be dropped based on current form. Young was excellent last season. And was also very good against Spurs. He's more of a threat than Rooney. It only sends the message that if you're not good enough to start for United you won't start for United.

Was that before or after he put in the perfect cross for what ended up as the only goal of the match.Young was pretty shit vs Spurs, Walker pretty much had him in his pocket and got the better of him every time. Last season is different to this season, clean slate and all.
Mata and Young shouldn't be competing for a place because Mata is not a left winger... Or a winger of any side for that Mata.Oh come on. It wouldnt be fair on Young? If Pedro comes, Mata better not be sitting. young can take a seat.
Well Rooney is the captain, tends to be a reliable goalscorer, is basically our only striker, and can be world class on his day. Big difference to young being a solid player with a very poor end product who will have plenty of competition. Will Rooney get benched when he has a bad game/ long run of games then this season?
Was a pretty simple pass in truth, and that was when Bentaleb handed the ball to us for a quick transition and Young on the other side, not on the left. I have nothing against Young at all, I have no problem with him starting, but saying it's harsh for him to be dropped for Pedro isn't really accurate as it's the start of a new season and he's never been productive. He hasn't been world class or undroppable, he has simply been solid without scoring/assisting. So of course, a team like United would want an upgrade. Was that before or after he put in the perfect cross for what ended up as the only goal of the match.
‘Hey, Pedro is here.'
Fellaini squares up to those who try to scare Young out of diving. Fellaini is the protector.People have to understand Young is useless without Fellaini.
I hope this day happens this season.Well Rooney is the captain, tends to be a reliable goalscorer, is basically our only striker, and can be world class on his day. Big difference to young being a solid player with a very poor end product who will have plenty of competition.

"It is a process. I want a player who is creative and fast, Pedro is this."

This worries me.
After he dropped such a bollock with Di Maria, and the kind of player he was. I really hope he knows exactly what he's getting with Pedro, and isn't expecting Di Maria like creativity, but with added work rate and discipline.
Because from everything I've seen/heard/read, Pedro is not a particularly creative player, certainly not on the level of Di Maria/Ozil/Fabregas et el, and if he expects him to solve our creativity issues single-handedly, we're going to be in trouble.

Yeah, for once I agree with you. I think/hope he's worded it poorly because if we are looking at Pedro to bring creativity to the team, we're fecked. It would bring a big ? on our scouting team btw who identified pedro as someone to bring creativity to the team.
You mean the time when Young was on the opposite wing to where Walker was?Was that before or after he put in the perfect cross for what ended up as the only goal of the match.
I'm starting to wonder if people are becoming more and more dim on here!
Do people really think LVG and the entire scouting team don't know kind of player Pedro is? Rather than just poor English!
If they hang onto him for the Super cup as well then it gives us time to assess other options, such as Muller. Not saying we will get him but no harm in trying while the Pedro saga remains unsolved. It seems Barcelona are stalling on letting Pedro go and Pedro doesn't want to force the matter but if we have offered the £22m and Pedro is thinking it over then he needs a deadline set. I don't fancy waiting until September for a new player to come in and try and integrate into the team and potentially upset the rhythm. The Super cup finished on Monday night so personally would want the transfer completed by next Friday at the latest, if all is to be believed that personal terms have been agreed and we have made the right offer then it should happen fairly quickly and he will be at Old Trafford on Tuesday night for the Champions League home game.LVG answer 'Write it' to Pedro question?
So Barcelona apparently wants to keep him for Spanish Supercup too. Soon we'll learn they want to keep him for the start of the season too.
Better to get this deal done than to dream about Muller or Bale which wont happen, no chance imo.If they hang onto him for the Super cup as well then it gives us time to assess other options, such as Muller.
