What did he say? dont have sound at work.
If I remember he said something along the lines of 'I don't say anything yet, nothing until he's signed, once he's signed then we can talk.'What did he say? dont have sound at work.
That sounds good.If I remember he said something along the lines of 'I don't say anything yet, nothing until he's signed, once he's signed then we can talk.'
I know it's LVG and he's always hard to read but he made it sound very much like an inevitable. That sounds good.
If he had said its a process or something similar we would be in unknown teritory still but that sounds like its close.I know it's LVG and he's always hard to read but he made it sound very much like an inevitable.

It's a process for all of us.... I guess we have to learn to live with thisIf he had said its a process or something similar we would be in unknown teritory still but that sounds like its close.
I fecking love LVG!journo: How optimistic are you that Pedro might happen?
VG: You have to ask Pedro that, not me. My answer is that it's a process - it's a club, it's a player and we're also there. And I don't mention anything before he has signed. When he's signed I come to you and say - hey, Pedro is here, but it's still not the case so we shall wait and see.
journo: You talked about wanting fast and creative players
VG: Yes, and Pedro is a player like that....so, write it.
This one is in the bag IMO.
Di Maria and Ozil's "level" isn't that high based on last season. A much better example would be David Silva and Alexis Sanchez who were both excellent last term. This worries me.
After he dropped such a bollock with Di Maria, and the kind of player he was. I really hope he knows exactly what he's getting with Pedro, and isn't expecting Di Maria like creativity, but with added work rate and discipline.
Because from everything I've seen/heard/read, Pedro is not a particularly creative player, certainly not on the level of Di Maria/Ozil/Fabregas et el, and if he expects him to solve our creativity issues single-handedly, we're going to be in trouble.
Not even worried about this, just a matter of time.
Seems strange this, everyone knows the release clause they have mentioned it in every article for about a month yet we still wont match it even though its a fairly low price. We either aren't 100% sure on him or we have somebody else in mind, if he ends up at City i'll be pissed off.
Just pay the clause and get it done ffs.

If these quotes are real, I'm not sure how anyone is still worried it won't happen.

City have offered the clause and then some but have still not 'got it done'. Barcelona for whatever reason are holding this up...
Or maybe we are waiting for the nod off Pedro. LvG's comments point towards this deal being done when Pedro has made his mind up.LvG is probably still trying to somehow get Müller, which is a lost case and a bit stupid. Would be incredibly frustrating if that was the reason why we still haven't managed to wrap Pedro's deal up and let City get close to him.

Of course they're real, there's a video of Van Gaal speaking about Pedro on the BBC website.
I don't think that's actually true, is it? I'm sure you will find a few examples of him going down easy or playacting after contact, but I can't say I've ever noticed him doing it on a consistent basis. He's no Busquets or Suarez.I am not sure, what to expect from him. We fecked up on Di Maria case, and he is not at the level of Di Maria when it comes to creativity. Plus he goes down like child who trying to learn to walk, when he is touched -- which is OK if you are playing in La Liga but with English league, he has got to toughen up.
I think he surely would be an upgrade on young but nothing more than that. I would love to be proven wrong but he is not the kind of player who would be our "marquee signing"
He's not particularly fast or creative but he's certainly an improvement on our current wide options.

The bloke on sky sports news just showed the LVG clip and then said city have offered more then the release clause.
If there is a release clause what is the point in going over it? Is it just to outbid us? Hilarious little club.

Technically, it's not a written clause from what we know. The 30m is more like a verbel agreement with Pedro and board (everyone knows no club wil pay 150m for Pedro). So City can obviously pay more than the 30m if they want ot hijack the deal. No point for Barca to reject the offer, if there's one.
Ahhh I see, cheers for clearing that up, I was wondering how they could be so thick!Technically, it's not a written clause from what we know.
