Paulo Dybala

Can't. He's a makeweight in the Lukaku deal.
He doesn't have to cooperate. If he didn't want to join United, he could just stall until the English window closes and then guage interest from other clubs in Europe.

I actually think that if Dybala is a decent guy, he'll be grateful that we are offering him a fresh start after Juve basically kicked him out of the club.

Yep. He was actually the highest assister in the league for ages until he stopped playing regularly. He had like 12 assists which was the highest in the team all season I believe.

People forget he played in a team that was pretty rubbish. Had no balance and zero pace.

We were playing a 3-5-2 with Di Maria in CM with an aging RVP, Falcao and Rooney ahead of him. Zero pace. The back 5 was regularly Evans, Blackett  Borthwick-Jackson

I think we all forget just how poor it was at times. No wonder Di Maria going from that Real Madrid side to us just thought what the hell is this?

Yup. To be honest, I do think Dybala probably has reservations about joining but, if he does, I have no doubt he'll give 100%.

These United Xtra tweets are non-sensical. So Paulo "realised club is the problem" but then refuses to consider United until Juve literally tell him to f*ck off?
Then they claim that "Juventus need money" but it's a straight swap deal and Juventus offer Lukaku the same contract Dybala has?

They know nothing.

If he needs motivation to make the move, he needs to look no further than what Aguero has achieved at City. United are a historic club in a rebuilding phase, when Aguero joined, City were a brand new project.

You should read up on how transfers and player values actually work on club accounts/books. Juve will make a profit out of this

They are quoting the sky transfer podcast.

Has anyone mentioned about Argentines and Di Maria yet?

Yes. Right after it was mentioned that all South Americans flop at United so that is a valid reason to not sign Dybala.

It's natural to have reservations moving to a club currently playing at a lower level.

Not every player then turns out like Di Maria - who has zero character.

Players have moved in the past with reservations only to fall in love with the place. I'm not concerned just get him in.

How exactly? It's a player for player swap deal, no extra cash involved, and Lukaku gets the same wage. I'm 100% certain that Paulo sells more shirts than Lukaku does, so I don't see any financial benefit in this.

Tbf to Di Maria, LVG managed him horribily. Reckon if Mou had bought Di Maria it would have worked out.

I'm pretty sure if he really doesnt want to join he can tell Juve to feck off. The thing is no one is really interested in him.

Thats the thing. Barca and Real dont want him, this season at least. Atleti have Felix. Bayern are spending the money on Sane. PSG dont seem interested for now, plus FFP? Chelsea cant spend, City and Liverpool dont seem interested/willing to spend that much on an attacker this summer. Besides United, only Spurs showed some interest with a 50m bid. They dont seem to want to spend what Juve is asking, as seen with Lo Celso and Bruno with 45-60m bids

Then he sits there and waits. You cant help but feel sorry for the lad. This time last week he was concentrating on coming back to training in Italy, and then one week later a big push to get him to Manchester. I am a fan of course and I would love to see him here, but there are also lifestyle decision to think about. Does he have kids?

No

Is anyone really shocked that he feels conflicted?

He has basically been told to feck off by his club that he was gearing up for a new season with, in a country he feels settled in and wants to make sure it's actually over so he can draw a line under it. Then the offer is from a less preferred country for him from a cultural perspective and the club isn't in the best shape so if course he wants agency in deciding his future and compesating well if he moves.

Really not a fan of this. Dybala has had an average/poor season and is only on the edges of the first team at Juve yet he's wanting to be one of the top earners with no wage drop if we don't make CL?

Have a very bad feeling about this.

If he had kids, he should seriously think about the massive pay bump he's gonna get at Manchester United, right?

If Sarri really wants Lukaku, he'll fine Dybala 2 weeks wages for no reason.

That's how I got rid of players who wanted to stay on old FM's :lol::lol:

Think it’s just the one poor season just gone. 17/18 was his best season in terms of goals at Juve.

Well. I can tell you as a dad with kids that's not how it works. There are schools to think about, emotional ties kids might have. It's not something you can just say yes to in a few days just because the transfer window will close.

Edit, cant see that he has kids. Nethertheless massive decision to make in short time. Any normal person would need time to think about it

These quotes on Dybala are all over the place. It seems to me like journalists are covering all their bases so that they come out of this looking like they’re well informed and connected no matter how this deal plays out.

Most people on here have no idea of actually having any real value in the job market.

Add moving to a 6th place team in the Europa league and like it or not it is a backward step for him

Transfer rumours often make it seem like that phones and the internet don't exist. It's odd.
Phones, the internet and life outside of the training pitch does not exist. Everyone communicates via faxes or face to face in the thrilling sci fi world of transfer rumours.

Wonder if Rojo and Romero gives him a call over the weekend on the argentina whatsapp group.

Bet that Adidas would love Dybala to join us.

He wants to play with Pogba.

He thinks United is a historical club according to his twitter.

This is happening fellow muppets:drool:

Why does he need to wait for training to speak to Sarri? That makes no sense at all.
This is literally someone’s career and livelihood. It makes entire sense things get spoken and clarified face to face, in person.

But even then, they could surely schedule a face-to-face meeting any time, not just at training? I find it hard to believe that the world of football really moves this slowly.

Aye, it has every possible bullshit thrown in it  Half way through you're wondering what are you even reading.

It went quiet and they don't know anything new basically.

The lad obviously needs time to decide. He will basically be committing the rest of his career to the weakest United in 30 years.

We should be thankful that the transfer window closes in less than a week.

Dybala will shine in the premier league if he makes the move with the amount space in between the lines which is left by teams. Not wanting him to sign because of Di Maria or his lack of commitment is just stupid.
