Paul Pogba

Has Memphis bumped into him in Ibiza or summink? They good friends or is it a coincidence?

I get a feeling that he may just end up at City with his role model Viera there as City seem to have unlimited funds again this summer to spend. Barcelona would be a great move for him but they may find him too expensive and he is not really a tiki taka type of player

Which peoples logic?
I think if you say that fergie made 'a mistake' with pogba then by proxy you think we should be making a place for januzaj in the first team. I think there's a huge amount of hindsight bias in saying that we should have given pogba a starting place when he wasn't playing very well vs now saying we should sign another winger and 'if januzaj is good enough he will play' when januzaj has shown more than pogba ever did at united

We shouldnt have give him a starting place but should have give him more chances to play, esp in a game like vs Blackburn in 2011 where we played Rafael in midfield when the situation in our midfield was dire to say the least. Later that season we got back Scholes from retirement while Pogba was waiting his chance.

I saw this on the BBC website (Gossip column), and it made chuckle a little bit.

"If City miss out on Pogba, manager Manuel Pellegrini will turn to Aston Villa's 25-year-old Fabian Delph instead."

Basically...

"I tried my luck with Kate Upton, but after she didn't respond to my calls, I just went for fat Sammy from the chippy."

Delph on a free when you need more English players is a good option for them... Regardless of if they get Pogba or not

He is either Barca or Real bound. Real would be the next step to follow in the footsteps of his idol Zidane but he public admitted that playing for Barca would be a dream come true. So yeah I'm pretty sure it's one more year with Juve and after that it's either Barca or Real depending on who is willing to throw more money at him.

I hope we have at least sounded him out. Use some of that supposed Bale money. Might be a slim chance of getting him back here but it's one you have to take for a player like him. People always say him or Veratti but they play different roles. Veratti would be much better for the Carrick role while Pogba is pretty much the perfect midfielder for the Fellaini role in our team.

I don't think City stand a chance personally. I can't see how a young player on the verge of greatness, who could have his pick of any elite club would choose to spend the best years of his career at Manchester City.

Don't forget that they have the backing of the Qatar oil barons. They can pay the highest wages if they wish.

I really see City trying to make a statement with this guy. Offer 1/3rd higher wages and you will be the favourites in most instances.

If United are interested it would be great to see us land a truly sought after player for once. In the medium term, we have to be able to compete for the very best if we are aspiring to thay status.

Theres better midfielder players than him. Top player but one of the most overrated I have ever seen.

I don't agree. How much can City realistically pay him? One rich club can't just bully the other rich clubs. City can't offer more than us or Real, unless they plan to offer half a million, a week or something stupid. All the players in the game are rich as feck.

That doesn't make much sense. Are you trying to say that City couldn't feasibly offer higher wages than United or Real if they were determined?

Remember the Toure deal? At the time (and still) his wages were insane. I can see them pulling another stunt like that.

The point is, whether it is oil money, or commercial money - whatever the source of the income, City are not alone in being able to offer ridiculous money. We had a strikeforce last season on £250k+ a week each amongst three players. Would it be more relevant if we were paying them with oil money?

City have a record signing that cost just £38m. Other teams can, and will continue to compete with them, just as they have done. They had oil money when we managed to sign Persie ahead of them, and he didn't have to accept 90k to come here either. So again, unless they intend to use their oil money to change the game completely and start offering players half-a-million a week, we, and others, can compete. We can pay Messi or Ronaldo's wages if we want. Probably even both. Unlless you are proposing City will offer Pogba £25m a year, they will not be blowing anyone out of the water.

People can't seem to make up their mind whether he will end up at Real, with his idol Zidane, or City, with his idol Vieira. At least he's playing with his idol Evra at Juve now I guess.

Reports city are lining up 60m for him. Don't know why he can't just sod off to barca instead, you just know he will be there to forever rub it in our faces over the next few years

Hopefully he stays at Juve. In any case, I see little chance of him going to City.

For one season. The only thing preventing it is the registration ban. I meant in general if he moves, then Barca, they seem the most interested now. Dont see him at United and i dont want him at any other PL club.

Oh the bragging rights if Citeh were to get him. Can't see it happening though.

Would be a strange choice by him to go to City. That is not being disrespectful to City.

Juve are a significantly bigger club than City, as are Milan and Inter. If you were going to leave these type of clubs for football reasons you are more likely to go to the likes of Bayern, RM or Barca. Though, I doubt he is a RM or Barca type of player in anything other than he has become a big name. Bayern would be a good move for him.

From what I remember at United, he was certainly not ready for first team football. Has done well at Juve, but it would help any talented player having the likes of Pirlo and Vidal next to you. Juve will be mad to let him go, when they have already lost Tevez and Pirlo.

It just seems inevitable that he'll go to City. Just to complete this whole sorry mess.

Feck City, disrespect them all you want. If Pogba has the choice of clubs such as Barca, Madrid or any other big club that can actually fill their stadium, well then he'd be mad to go to that worthless kip.
