Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I think we all did though..

Italian press has now collectively had enough

The United wants to present him Sunday before the Community Shield

Like any self-respecting saga, also that of Paul Pogba has a sequel. After "48 hours" fun Walter Hill movie, and time when the Bianconeri thought they close the deal already a week ago, that "Another 48 hours." Ie, between today and tomorrow Juventus and Manchester United are hoping to formalize the sale of records. It will be a matter of hours

La Stampa comparing pogba saga to a "48hrs movie":lol:

However the important part is that two italian outlets are now saying it's done by the weekend.

Corriere dello Sport say, Pogba announcement is possible on Sunday when Juventus (pre season) & Man United (Shield match) will be in London.

Genuine question.. Lots of reports claim that Pogba is due to return to Juve's training ground on Sunday. But Juve will be in England for a friendly on Sunday.. So why would he be returning to Italy? Surely he'd fly to England anyway to train with his teammates?

Why would he fly all the way to England just to watch them play a game, then fly all the way back to Italy? They wont be training on the day of a game, so he'd just be sitting about. Better to get back to the proper training ground and get started on his pre-fitness routines with the other leftover players.

Since he'd just return from his holiday, there's no possibility that he'd play in this friendly. Thus, he could rather fly back to Italy have a bit of a rest and start training with his team mates the day after the friendly.

So IMO thre's no reason why he should join this friendly just to sit in the stands.

Similar reasons Jose took Rooney on tour, I suppose. To have his group together and gelling before the season.

Besides, the length of time Pogba has been away with the Euros, and then even longer on holiday, I wouldn't be surprised if half of them have forgotten who he is

Hence why i think if he is flying to the UK it will be for the announcement, maybe pictures and first interview?

The big question for me is will United sign Pogba before Frank Ocean drops his new album?

Other midfielders have been born, grown up, signed for Man United and won the league since we started preparing our Pogba bid.

Kendrick Lamar has been born, grown up, and released an album since Frank released his first album.

Who are Juve even playing in this friendly anyway, and where is it?

So as i understand it, the Italian papers are saying he will be announced on Sunday before the community shield?

Credit to the mods tbh. If not for them, I can imagine this thread would be filled with utterly retarded dick jokes and people talking about when they can whip it out and have a wank. It was funny a few years ago when it started, but it's just incredibly droll now. And the try-hard newbs feel like they have to up the stakes in stupidity because they're posting in the mains.

Anyway, he better be signing soon!

Since Juventus is expecting him back at Vinovo on the 7th we could definitely assume that him flying to the UK would mean he leaves Juventus. I'm still not a 100% sure that he'll sign tbh but him heading to the UK rather than Italy would clearly indicate that he'd not do so to join his Juventus mates.

However, as our squad and management team will be in London this day I could clearly see us announcing him there and then.

If you're not 100% you must be 99.9% at this point?

I would say I can feel it's close, but then I put money on LVG being the next manager to be sacked last Christmas and look how that worked out.

I can't see it being any later than the community sheild after the latest Italian reports.

Actually I don't know what to make out of this media stuff etc.

For a fact we know that there're negotiations (as clearly indicated by Mou, Moratta, Allegri, Raiola) but whether they've been/will be successful is on a different note. So I'll believe that this is done the moment he is posing with the shirt and has had a quick chat with MUTV.

But tbf the signs are looking good.

I just couldn't imagine rationally not believing this was done. If all this had been for him signing for any other team, everyone would accept it's done, and yet because its us people seem to remain that little bit more sceptical. Fear of looking an idiot maybe or being burnt once again by a muppet saga I presume.

Today's the day isn't it?

Pogba expected back for Juventus training Sunday/Monday so it should be wrapped up before.

Also it's kind of unlikely for us/Juve to announce anything on the weekend.

Balance of probability my dear Watson... The game is on!

Guessing today we'll get an announcement of some sort that it is done pending medical. Either from United or Juve.

We've been saying that every day for the past week but I can really see it happening today to be honest.

Definitely this. Half the threads in our forum will become redundant if this move fails since most discussions already have Pogba in our team.

We're not any other team though. We are Man United and are liable to getting played, hitches, tougher negotiations etc. We've lost out on so many sagas I probably couldn't even name them all (vidal pedro sneijder ramos moura thiago.. I'm prob forgetting the most obvious one too)

I'm not saying I don't think it's effectively done, but I can definitely understand the "it's only done when it's done" mentality

Jose's press conference at 2pm. Wonder if they will be allowed to ask him about Pogba?

See if Jose can make it a hattrick of "i don't speak about Paul because he is a juventus player and i wouldn't like if other managers spoke about my players. But the window shuts August 31 and for sure we will have one more player"

What on earth is this based on
He's read the papers that said he wanted Madrid first, Barca second, City third and then us because nobody else could pay the money :lol::lol:

I like the cut of your jib.

I'm in.... It's Pogday!

Bet you we will get the "Paul is a juve player' response again

Which is all pretty trite at this point. I get the not unsettling players thing in normal circumstances, when they are otherwise committed to a different club... But everybody knows he's as good as ours, it's hardly like we're trying to unsettle him at this stage!

I just don't think we're unique to getting burnt. If we really looked at other teams past summers, they've probably had just as many sagas on their different forums much like our threads. But we just don't invest the time into what other teams are doing to know about them.

What do you think has been the biggest myth in this thread?

- That transfers are never announced on weekends?

- That Di Marzio said the deal will be announced within 48 hours?

- That Pogba has been on holiday for at least double the time of every other player, who played at the Euros?

I just don't believe this is true. If you just want actual updates on the transfer you can just follow any of the major news sites live sports feeds, they will pick up any tweets of any relevance (if they even count as news). This thread would be two pages long if that's what it was about, everybody who comes in here knows what they're getting.

If you just want verifiable factual news, I'm sorry but despite 38000 posts, there is none.
Yes, or in fact follow the "Transfer Tweets" section on here. Or just look at the thread marks on this site if you're only interested in Pogba.

Di Marzio saying that the deal will be announced in 48hrs. Lets be honest know one has a clue when this will be announced and journo's keeping spitting out bull shit.
