Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Please stop with the 1,000 pages stuff. Future spam such as this will result in instant threadbans. If you don't have anything vaguely substantive to say, don't post.

Thank you

Bringing this thread back to a serious question - how much time will he need to become fit again with the squad? Its an odd one because after reaching the finals, you'd think he hasn't lost much. I'd like to see him start versus Bournemouth (he'll have a week to train up with the squad, presumably thats 3-4 training sessions).

I also missed the Everton game, but lots of posters saying Rooney/Ibra dropped deep and we lacked runners. I wonder how Pogba will change that - he should either force Rooney further up, or run into the box more hismelf. In either case I think he's in a great position to mimic/beat stats from last year for Juventus.

Realistically, you're looking at his first appearance (even off the bench) being the home game against Soton on the Friday?

15/20 mins off the bench. Already looking forward to his reception when he comes on :)

Will take him a few weeks to get match fit, he's been off a while.

He's a 23 year old lad who doesn't drink, is in great physical shape, and has been playing basketball and hanging out of hot tubs for the last 3 weeks; I can't see it taking too long for him to get up to speed on his return.

Assuming he signs and joins the squad by Monday we will probably see him vs. Bournemouth. He takes care of his body and as you've seen even on holidays he's engaging in other activities to stay in shape. Won't take him too long to get match-fit.

If he doesn't start we will most likely see him get subbed on.

It would be great if we could complete the signing tomorrow, reveal him on Sunday and sub him on for even 15 minutes in the community shield.

While this is all going on it'll have been a great time to try and get any other potential additions under the radar. Still hoping for another CB.

It's not and never will be a trophy, glorified friendly and a nice day out in London.

People used to say the same about the World Club cup in Japan, but now it's taken more seriously. Yes, it's not as important, but they all count.

Probably need to sell some players before bringing anyone else in.

I think this will be announced tomorrow, only based on Samuel Luckhurst's tweet that Getty Images have had a surge in requests for Pogba photos (or at least I think it was on Tuesday they published loads of new photos from Pogba's first stint at United). I think the sports editors in Britain have been briefed that something might happen this week, so they'll be preparing big features on Pogba coming home / the world record fee that will come out in the Saturday or more likely Sunday papers, and for this they want photos of Pogba from his first spell here.

Yeah, I think maybe a month before he's fully up to speed given the league will be at a different pace from Serie A too. It will probably take us a while to really hit our stride and get going.
A month?!? No chance have you seen him on them pads?! But seriously I hope it's not a month he's only really stopped playing for a couple of weeks and he's a young lad who doesn't seem to be in bad shape id give him a week or two and he'll be dabing again!

I highly highly doubt it'll get announced on a weekend. It'll be something like next Tuesday at 11am.

Well when did the Euro's finish? He's been on holiday since then. I'm not saying a month to play matches, but getting his full match fitness and settled into the team is probably going to take a while.

I agree, the papers will be having a field day. I can see Maureen being under pressure in a few weeks.

It's been posted. Consensus was that he just wanted to get rid of them.

He was in a position of "I'll sign it but I want to go ASAP", they could have asked him what's you opinion on powdered milk and he would have said "yes" and walked away, he wasn't comfortable which to me shows he isn't interested.

With the United fans he's stayed a little longer it seems and has actually had a bit of a conversation with, with him he just signed a ball said "yes", "yes" and left.

My bad. It's hard to keep up with this thread as there are so many posts.

And yeah it does seem like that.
I don't blame you, it's pretty much impossible to keep track in this thread at times. I just thought I'd fill you in on what people thought rather than just go "yep, been there", considering you seemed interested in people's opinions.
