"Deal is almost set."

Just sign the guy already, man this is just painful.
They're counting out the cash note by note, Juve want to make sure them notes are real afterall. Plus they're counting it over and over to make sure we're not duping them out of any money, then you got Raiola sat in the corner frothing at the mouth seeing all that cash being counted knowing he's taking a far wad for himself. He's planning what specially made Pizza he's gonna have to celebrate, maybe something with 24 carat gold sprinkles over it and the worlds finest truffles. Just as we get to the end of the counting, someone looses count and they have to start again, delaying the deal.

In all seriousness, we're just going to have to ride it out until everything they need to do is done. We don't know whats going on behind the scenes, how complex the deal is, what bonuses Juve want added, what payment plan they'd like etc. It's pretty much a done deal, yes, but as Di Marzio points out, there's a few little things to do before the papers can be signed. Patience...

We had a team of nice guys last two seasons. Jose wants ruthless winners just as Fergie did, not a team of Juan Matas.

Exactly.

Players forgot that they're here to win trophies and not write blogs and congratulate each other birthdays on twitter.

Absolutely if we singed him he would play for United: ) and if he played for United he would be an United player: )
Are they supposed to be smiley faces? What is going on with the caf

Ready and waiting for the 6:devil:

But he's a United Legend. Single handedly won us the Champions League... ;)

I can still remember him pulling up his arm band, trying to get all sorted for putting the penalty away. Penalties are a lottery and Chelsea weren't good in the Final.

How Lampard scored I'll never know, on the subject of Pogba though -- On topic! my bet is on Monday, should have a poll for when we think he'll sign!

That's a glorious jersey. If only they'd removed the abomination in the middle that would've been one of the best away jerseys. Up there with the 06-07 away one. And it really suits Pogba 6 at the back.

We wont release big news on a Saturday, so tomorrow's the day  Or today's the day, depending on your perspective

I know it's not the thread for it (mods: please move to the United kits thread and my sincerest apologies for going off topic), but that kit is nowhere near the 06-07 kit (I assume you mean this white/black/gold one below).

That was maybe the best United kit of the modern era, along with the home one from that year. Take the weird hexagonal things off the shoulders and it would be pretty nice, but I'd even put the white/blue '09 kit above it.

We WILL get over the line, its now a matter of a few days or perhaps just a few hours time. When we do get over the line, we will have had a great transfer window, spent close to £180 million pounds and acquired 4 great players. But, unless Jose does a U turn, we will be continue to rely on a 31 year old who plays as a 40 year old in the heart of our attack. Is it all for nought??

Yep that's the one. We've really been spoilt with class kits between 06-07 and 08-09. Since adidas took over though I can't really complain as I've always liked their stuff.

Indeed! Can't wait to see Pogba back in the United shirt again, as this season's are quite nice.

Rooney is only a problem when we rely on only him. When he's surrounded by talent we will thrive. That's the kind of player he is.

Hopefully I wake up to some good news and an announcement
Would be cool for him to be in the stands on Sunday. Probably won't play, or at most a sub appearance away to Bournemouth, but the week after that I guess he'll make his debut at Old Trafford.

What a night that was. I remember thinking he scored for a second. The whole bar fell silent in that moment. It felt like an age, thinking back. Then the huge celebrations from United fans, like we've already won the damned thing. And to be fair, we did. After the Terry miss, there was only going to be one winner. I'll forever cherish that night and absolute scenes that followed.

Thank you! For reminding me, good Sir.

Tomorrow or Saturday he reckons it will be done.

I think yes. Today may just be the day. Juventus wouldn't want a disruptive influence on their squad when he comes back and then leaves after two days and everyone in the ground knows he is leaving ... They would want this wrapped up or at least announced before that so that he doesn't have to come and stay with them for a few days
Besides if Dybala has got number 10 then what would he wear

This is as idle as speculation gets. Basically put 2 and 2 together to make 22. It's not unheard of (or even mildly unusual) that a player whose move is all but confirmed still returns to his old club. That's happened all too often and is the reason why so many moves happen in late August right up to deadline day.

It'll get done in its own time. We can hope (and I certainly do) that it's done before but that's all.

Agreed logo kills it for me but still one of my favourites

I don't think Juve announce transfers, in or out, over the weekend. Could anyone correct me on that?

IMO, it's either friday or Monday and I have little doubt now that pogba won't return to juve training.

Coman was announced on a Sunday apparently.

The fact that I know this tempts me to reevaluate my life.

Why does it matter when Juve announce transfers? Surely we're the ones who are going to announce it?

even GdS has had enough

Today could be the day, although now more than a market negotiation seems a South American soap
:lol::lol:

Actually it's all done, but when the deal is also important to the drafting of the contract becomes more complex: yesterday the player's lawyers were working on the final details, including image rights, commissions for the agent and a percentage on the sale
