It would appear so most media outlets reporting it's done now just waiting on an announcement now.

Still, with BBC sport not dealing their hand in this saga there's still a few doubts about what stage the deal is at.

Our MUTV presenters and official photographer started following him to day so in my opinion its certainly on.

Ok so just more twitter and nothing else.. This could drag on for days on end?

I think some thought we were taking a big leap forward today in terms of an official announcement but it would seem we're back to just waiting that bit longer.

Got it more nothing and needs more waiting..

Is there anyone who still genuinely thinks that this is not happening?

If the new job has a crazy high signing bonus, triples my salary I 100% would.
If you were that highly valued, you'd be able to dictate terms. We need him more than he needs us. If you were some hotshot programmer just out of University that Apple, Google, etc. all wanted to woo, where you could more or less dictate terms to them, and had already discussed the date you'd be available to start, no way in hell you would cut short your vacation to start early. You've already impressed them, and you'll impress them by your work once you start. Going in a couple of days early isn't going to make or break your time at that company.

Besides, even if he wanted to, he can't do anything until Juve sign the paperwork. From DiMarzio's latest update, everything is Juve's hands. Sure, he can ask Juve to speed it along, but why would they give a shit what he asks since he's leaving them? They probably want to get as far along as they can in their other negotiations before it's official that they have all this new-found cash.

From a "getting most eyes and ratings" perspective, Friday would be the worst day to announce it. Most people aren't home on a Friday or as in touch with the media as they would be on other days.
Thursday evenings usually get you the most views.

Yeah nobody would notice if it happens tomorrow. Can someone bump the thread on Monday around 6 so we all know?

Am I the only one who desperately wants us to wrap this one up whilst also being weirdly excited with the idea that he doesn't join, purely for the meltdown that this place would endure.

Deleted. What did it say?

Hmmm getting a world class play player for the team you support vs reading words on the internet. It's a toughie!

Na there must be some more weirdos who also get their kick out of a forum 'meltdown' at the expense of the club they follow and support.

Slightly sado-masochistic

I'm with you on that one. I have to be honest I would take some sort of sick pleasure in it if it failed

I have to post and join in the muppetness as this is an epic thread that will be remembered in folklore. I do believe he will sign and I'm looking forward to a great season.

Oh I can see both sides of the coin!

PS If I was that programmer and moving countries/states to Calli for Google/Apple, knowing that theres a huge project about to start, I might want to move out there ASAP so I can be settled in before the project starts.

Please stop with the 1,000 pages stuff. Future spam such as this will result in instant threadbans. If you don't have anything vaguely substantive to say, don't post.

What's Di Marzio's lates then?

Threadmarks seem to have stopped in this thread...?

Small details are still being discussed, Pogba may come directly to Manchester on Sunday.

http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/eng/manchester-united-the-deal-for-pogba-is-almost-set-the-latest/

Pogba to Manchester United, the move is upon us. There is little that remains for an official conclusion to the transfer that has been long and involved between Juventus and United. The last details are on their way to being resolved, and it is due to the extremely large sums involved that have put every last detail under scrutiny. Right now in Turin, Pogba's representatives and legal team are working to finalize all of the paperwork, which would then pass over to Juventus and sporting director Marotta for signature. At that moment, Pogba will be released from obligations with Juventus (including that of his arrival at the team's training, where he would be expected back on Sunday), and could join Manchester directly from New York, where he is currently on vacation.

Also in discussion are Pogba's potential replacements that could now join Juventus. Talks over prices with PSG are back on for Matuidi, and there have been new contacts over Matic, both with the his agent and with Matic, who is agitating for a sale to Juventus, himself. Things with Luiz Gustavo have not changed. Finally, on Witsel, things are moving in the wrong direction as Zenit continues to make demands beyond what Juventus intends to agree to.

Sunday will be a massive day for the club publicity-wise, if we can couple Pogba's arrival with a win at Wembley. It'll be a great way to start the new season.

So Pogba will be in Manchester on Sunday whilst everybody else is in London? Would have assumed ed would (ward) have been in Wembley too.

Maybe he will be announced tomorrow around the same time as the cl draw to take the limelight off that or a few hours after it once its calmed down, can't see us waiting until Monday myself.

Doesn't say he's in Manchester on Sunday. Says that's when he's due in Italy.

Have you cleared some posts out? Thought there more earlier. You'd be better off just sticking 2,000 random ones in, then everybody will shut up about 1,000 pages once we've got there.

Doesn't matter if it was today or tomorrow.. surely he won't be fit enough to play the Charity Shield.. considering he had a years holiday!

Then again this isn't L match fittness VG.

He will be an excellent and much needed signing. Can't remember the last time we had pace, power and a presence in midfield?

The thing with signings like Pogba and Zlatan is that it brings that air of fear factor back again. It shows we mean business.

At best i think he could be on the bench for the first league game. But i think a bench spot for tge 2nd league game is more realistic.

No one is suggesting he will play on Sunday

Realistically, you're looking at his first appearance (even off the bench) being the home game against Soton on the Friday?

15/20 mins off the bench. Already looking forward to his reception when he comes on :)

That's if he signs which we don't know yet.
