Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Pity Koke looks like a die hard Atletico boy. Would have been perfect.

I too don't think he's as good as he's made out to be. Think Koke, Verratti, Modric are better players. But I think we need someone that drives with the ball from midfield. Thought that would be Sanches.

He is gettable, the others arent. He would solve our midfield issues for years, we need to do everything to bring him here.

Every time I have watched this guy I have honestly never been that impressed with him. I remember watching a game in the CL a couple of seasons ago, and he was shite, but the commentator was wanking over him. Must just be me.

I think Verratti is a better player.

X Factor type of player. Capable of creating something out of nothing. Verrati might be a better player on a game to game basis but on big moments, Pogba steps up. Kinda like comparing Xavi and Zidane. (Not saying either are like those legends, but their playing patterns are similar)

What big moments? When?

The only people who think Pogba will go to City are United and City fans.

Let me rephrase, Pogbas likely to score a 40 yard screamer and win you a game and Verrati isnt.
Apart from the one screamer he scored in the league against cannon fodder, I'm genuinely at a loss for the others he's scored. He is yet to dominate a big game and change it for the better in the CL, so comparisons with Xavi and Zidane are ridiculous imo. I'm not saying the lad hasn't got talent, because it is quite clear he has, but I just don't think he's anywhere near as good as everyone makes out. Like I said previous, it must be me.

Given the choice, would you choose Pogba, over Verratti?

Heh? How is he not gettable? The club would sell and we could convince him. Surebit is improbable, but a transfer could happen, unlike Verratti or Modric.
Because if Juve are selling, there would be other clubs he'd go to before choosing us imo.

You guys know what his feelings are towards United following his previous spell? Will he still feel loyalty towards you guys (i.e. making a City move unlikely) or will he have a sour taste in his mouth (i.e. making a United move unlikely)?

Pogba is going to be a fantastic signing for some team over the next couple of years, think he's very well suited to the PL and would be a big boost to whomever got him. However also feel he's going to require a record breaking fee if he moves this summer, wouldn't even be surprised if he reaches/nears the £100m given Juve's reluctance to sell. Probably the one player (who seems "available") I would absolutely not want to see move to a PL rival this year, be it you guys or Chelsea.

Id go for Pogba, but they are different types of players so they could co exist. I didn't compare Pogba to Xavi and Zidane. I meant, Zidane was a player that could do things in the big games but wasn't particularly good in the league games every week. Where as Xavi was always the same whether it was a league game or a big game. And then said that Verrati is more like Xavi in that sense and Pogba more like Zidane.

As for some of long range effort...

PS You are still paying a lot cos of potential and not just the ability of Pogba right now. He is still a long way from being the best version of himself.

Loads of talk about Pogba to United in the media today. But no I am not doing it, I refuse to fall for this story.

Part of me still resents Fergie for the way he handled Pogba the first time he was here, I am not getting my hopes up that we are suddenly going fix the biggest personnel mistake the club made in my lifetime.

When he is on the (official) club twitter holding up a 2016 United shirt I will take this rumour seriously. No story would make me a bigger muppet than Pogba (seriously, we could sign Ronaldo, Messi and Griezmann and Pogba would still excite me more)

I patiently waited for years to see Pogba to become a United star - I am still waiting

cheers for the vid. some crackers.

regarding the bolded, the fee being paid would be astronomical, and something you'd expect to pay for someone very close to finished article, but not for a player a long way off his best.

I feel that Pogba is definitely a bit overrated. He is a very good player, no doubt, but he is not this all conquering world class player that people make him out to be.

I definitely think that a reason why his ability/current level is overrated is because there has been a massive push by the media and fans to make him look like a huge embarrassment/big mistake for Fergie and United.

Agree with the person above who said they would rather have Verratti, though if we can get Pogba we should. He is still an upgrade on Herrera as the b2b.

Legend has it the ball from his last shot is still picking up speed.

Pogba is a monster. He makes other midfielders look like tiny tim. Compare whoscored.com stats

Pogba has been very good this season, but that list doesn't make that much sense imo. Most of those players are 6s and 8s, midfielders who are deep-lying playmakers and usually play deeper, while Pogba has a free role as attacking midfielder for Juve and France these days, so of course looking at goals and assists you expect Pogba to be the best in this list and should rather compare him with other 10s. That's also why I don't think we need a Pogba, especially for that kind of money, of course he would be a exciting signing, but I still think we shuld rather look at someone who can control the play from a deeper position. I don't think for example we need someone like Kante either, but would love someone like Gündogan or Verratti.

What will NEVER happen, but should be added to the silly season fantasies

----------------- De Gea ----------------

Darmian - Smalling - ???????? - Shaw

-------------- Schneiderlin -------------
-------- Pogba ---------- Blind* -------
----------------- Martial* ---------------

----- Benzema** --- Raschford** -----

* Dele Alli, Rooney, Depay, Herrera (and Mata if we don't buy Dele Alli)
** Lacazette

Pogba is one of the main football faces of Addidas ... says a lot about United that I think this is very relevant

He's not a Pep sort of player.

I wouldn't have put Vidal down as an obvious Pep player either but that went ok

Personally I'd much rather have Pogba over verratti because he's just the player we need at the moment, that's no to say verratti isn't a better player I just him having a lesser impact on our team.

Pogba is overrated and defo not worth forking over an astronomical fee for him. It took Vidal and Pirlo to leave Juventus for him to become the best midfielder in the team. Hes not the finished product and is a long way from that, the games Ive watched him play I just think there is still more for him to contribute to become worthy of such a high price tag. Id rather we gave Fosu Mensah a crack in midfield and used the money to try and get Griezemann to join us.

I have never seen anyone suggest that Pogba could have a bigger influence in a team than Verratti, Verratti changes a midfield.

Pftt... Not sure what kind of wages he is on, but I think he is top 3 best CMs in the world.

Do you think £100m could tempt PSG?

PSG won't even discuss with clubs, nothing will tempt them.
