Zidane doing Zidane things :lol::lol:

At least we don't need translation for his next press-conference, "(Insert player name) is a very, very good player. Obviously, Real wants best players, but he is a (insert club name) player"

So do people think it could be announced today then?
Maybe, maybe not. To be fair, I just don't see why people keep guessing in here. Nobody knows when it's being announced - not even Di Marzio. All I know is that it's starting to be a little annoying/strange that it hasn't been announced yet if it really is so close to being a done deal. Especially as we're getting close to the start of the seasons. It is surely in Mourinho's interest to get this deal done asap. And I don't think that Pogba being on holiday is a factor. We could easily announce a deal subject to a medical - or even make him pass the medical in the US.

Jose was the one who gave Chelsea players a longer break, iirc. They just ended up taking the piss by coming back out of shape.

Yeah but didn't he normally always have pretty intense pre-seasons? Was kind of famous for it. He won't be happy not having his full squad assembled.

I think with this being such a massive signing, they will want him in Manchester first, doing all possible media and sponsor work in conjunction with the signing. This is the kind of statement-making, attention-grabbing move that Woodward sells to sponsors and a simple "subject to medical" type announcement won't have the same impact as a full media-friendly mega announcement would. They've probably got the whole social media team working on the hashtag as we speak.

If it's not resolved within this week, then move on to the next target. Pogba is good, but team cohesiveness is more important, particularly with a new manager in charge. It's bad enough that we have such a short preseason, we don't need another road block by having to implement such a player. If Pigba really wants this move, he starts pushing for it. If he's just as happy staying at Juve, then no hard feelings but isn't worth pursuing it any longer.

We all know that the reason why this is getting delayed is cause Ed wants first 1000 pages in this thread.

And how would moving for another player solve the issue of having to implement him at a late stage?

He is on holiday until next week. What exactly do you expect to be happening right now.

Why would it be announced today? Pogba hasn't even had his medical has he?

Yeah but that's your problem. It's not just United that have interests..

Why is it Juv do not do transfers on the weekend, is it some religious thing?

I think United will wait after Rooney testimonial to announce it, possibly on Sunday, just after the Charity Shield.

I am sure RVP was announced and LVG was sacked on a Sunday..

It's bull chod, they probably have done transfers on Weekend before

No, but why would Juve be interested in dragging out an announcement if the deal is actually done? I'm pretty sure Juve - and their fans especially - would like to move on from this whole saga. And what would Pogba's interest be? Just dragging it out for the fun of it? Getting more attention and more Instagram followers while trolling the media?

That's not true, after reports from last week from Twitter ITKs I had a look at Juventus transfer deals on their Investor Relations page on their website and although the majority of their transfers are announced on weekdays, Coman last year was announced on a Sunday.

I hope it's a bit more imaginative than #MkhitaryanIsRed :/

#Pogzzzzzzz is what most of us feel like now...

48 hours, this week, next thursday... maybe for christmas

This transfer saga has officially reached the unhealthy stage and I'm not even a big muppet.

I just had a dream that Pogba returned to Juventus training ground from his holiday and all the players were giddy with joy to see him return. They literally ran to the entrance to greet him when they realized he returned. The problem is, he looked subdued, as if he knew he was leaving already but was going to say his final goodbye but didn't know how to do it without looking like an ass hole. I was standing next to him like I was his PR person or something and told him you have flight to catch.

Crazy stuff. I've never had a dream about a transfer before. That's my cue that this has gotten out of control, wrap this shite up Ed!

I wonder if Chelsea fans are having as big a meltdown over that comment as the caf did, somehow doubt it

I know. People sometimes forget that the Caf had a bit of a transfer muppet saga involving Hazard too. It may not have been as epic as some of the others but it was exciting for a while especially when rumours start building that we were apparent front-runners for his signature and made even better by the fact that he was considered one of the most exciting young players in the world at the time.

Unfortunately the inevitable heartbreak soon followed when he chose Chelsea over us - sticking the knife while he was at it too by announcing it on his Twitter in a manner meant to sound vague and ambiguous which was in reality anything but.

Strangely enough, however, while this place was having complete meltdowns during the entire saga the Chelsea fans over at the Shed End appeared relatively unconcerned in comparison and adopted a much more sensible 'if he signs he signs, if he doesn't he doesn't' approach. It's moments like these that make me believe that transfer muppets are a phenomenon truly unique to Manchester United or at least the Caf.

There were later reports that part of the reason we failed to agree a deal was Fergie's refusal to sanction the agent fee. Whether this was true or not I wonder if in a few years we will look back on this policy as either admirable but flawed or both admirable and best for business?

Imagine what the likes of @VanGaalEra and @ChaddyP have been dreaming then!

Pogba's already been included in the Sun DreamTeam player profiles. They're saying he's signed and they've valued him at £6m, less than De Bruyne, Sanchez and Aguero.
well in all fairness those guys re going to get more points as they are forwards, Pogba is likly to play as a box to box midfielder, so isn't going to get as many points

It'll happen official next week. But I'd be happy to hear Juve announce he's left and BBC to report it.
