Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Stuff like this irks me. If you actually had a source, you'd just say "My friend at Adidas" etc. I am calling BS.
Hey don't hold me on this one but I just spoke to my friend from Adidas and he told me that he had no clue who Pogba was or where he was going. Said he couldn't care less.

Some people are saying that Pogba has been removed from the Juve store website, some are saying he's still there.

Which is true? When I visit there on my laptop, I can't see any images of him.

Here's still there on the front page of the desktop site. Anyone who says otherwise is taking the piss

He's still there on the front page of Juvestore.com. If you scroll down a bit, he's in the right margin. But under the "buy kits" he's been replaces by a photo of Pjanic in the promotion of the away kit. But you can still buy shirts with his name and number, and as long as that's still possible, clearly nothing is done.

"#Pogba, last days of vacation in the States, from next week will be a Red Devils. Despite the "we'll see" and denied social ;)"

He said the deal should have been completed over a week ago now.
Again, where did he say this? All I remember is him saying terms were agreed with us and raiola for Pogbas contract

And how would moving for another player solve the issue of having to implement him at a late stage?

An agreement between us and a club over a different player is most likely easier to accomplish because that player doesn't have the importance and standing of Pogba. Part of the reason Juve is negotiating fiercely over this transfer is due to the marketing value of Pogba. I'm confident he's a cash cow for them and they see him as the face of the club sooner than later.

That isn't the case with somebody like Matuidi or another option. Sure, the club will demand a proper fee because they'll be losing a good footballer but it is no where near as much of a hit to them as losing the (potential) face of a club. Right now, the deal has reached financial heights that seemingly even make us think twice. That wouldn't be the case with others.

Thus, I'm confident we could seal a deal for a different player sooner and not continue this struggle over what is apparently minor details and could go on for a while.

I agree, we're at a rather late stage as it is, which is why it's all the more important to find a solution sooner rather than later.

Serie A starts later than PL though, martial and schneiderlin are back.
Martial played 10 minutes in the final and not at all (or very little) since the group stages. Schneiderlin never played a minute.

Besides, Juve gave him 4 weeks before there was any serious United talk. You can't just ask him to cancel his plans. Some have said we should ask that for what we are paying him, but that's a shitty way to re-start the relationship by saying, "We own you now, get your ass back here." Besides, I'm sure this was discussed before any potential was agreed in principle.

The Sky article?
That's literally the worst update ever. They are like, details are ironed and deal agreed in principle and in the next line it is written that Raiola and United have not come to agreement about him being paid and that needs to be sorted.
Article starts like he is going to be landing in Manchester when his holidays end and ends with it would be interesting to see whether he will come to Turin or Manchester when he comes back from LA

This thread has descended into complete lunacy

It's coming. By 6.30pm today. Can't tell you how I know.

You shouldn't risk having yourself thread banned at such a late stage, man. C'mon we're almost there now (feck how many times has that been said in this thread by myself included!)

On the other hand you may not care whatsoever at this point and I can entirely understand why!

Maybe, just maybe he's going to finish his holiday first and then do a medical and sign the documents in England!

Maybe, but its very inconsiderate of him. Every second, 100 skin cell die from the end of a muppets finger tips, from frantically pressing f5..

Next week we have to wait even longer aw God surely he could come back three or four days early he must be itching to get back into it.

Can't take another week of having to check this thread constantly. Just announce both clubs have agreed a fee and medicals will be concluded at a later date ffs!

So when will his first game be? Bournemouth away or realistically Southampton at home?

*better be Southampton as I'm coming up and wanna see him play. OT will be absolutely bouncing for Jose's first home league game*

Di Marzio clearly said on last Thursday that deal will be closed in next 48hrs.
In order to preserve the Caf's faith in Di Marzio, let's assume that he meant 48 working hours. And yes, they take a 2 hour lunch break and 1 hour coffee break (morning and afternoon) in Europe. So it should be done by this time next week!

This. But I don't think you should read too much into that tweet. He seems to be a nobody who does nothing but rehash and analyse Pogba's social media posts.

SHOULD....what is it with some people and not grasping something so simple? Any delay could for any number of reasons - why would he be in the know regarding that?..He wouldn't.

Feckenham ... another week .... Can't do this, check every half an hour for an update ... it's like your girl is on extended periods and they are not stopping, until you reach to a point where you say feck it, I'll get a new one ....

He says "Pogba will be a red devil come next week", this means after medicals and signature. Surely there will be some sort of confirmation from either Juve or United this week If this is the case.

Since he is returning only next week, Southampton would be the earliest possible start for him. I don't expect him to even be on the bench against Bournemouth.

Right I have some super awesome secret insider info, hes signing today. If not today then tomorrow, and then if not tomorrow then Wednesday. Continue this pattern and by god I will maybe be proved right.

If it's all agreed, I'm amazed the player isn't pushing to get his significant pay rise in the bank already (unless the sign on fee will be calculated to include the days between the actual arrival and the date of contractual agreement - then it's all moot).

Don't know everyone is being very optimistic about the timelines on this thread. I don't expect anything this week.

Yeah but technically you'll probably be more wrong then right :)

Maybe I should explain - I know a journalist. He might be fecking around but there's good chance he'll know people. I was trying to act all cool like.

He's still on vacation? Who's allowing him to take a whole month off? Should've been at training as of today. The season starts in two weeks.

And it looks like it has. We havent had any updates about negotiations since Friday. What people cant accept is, that a deal can be closed and we wont announce.

For example....You can go to a car dealer, negotiate a price, pay the first instalment and any other upfront costs and go home without a car because its still being built. One can then choose to announce they bought a new car to his/her friends when they got home or they can wait til it arrives to announce it - no difference cos either way they already closed the deal for the car.

Exactly. But that's what makes it too easy being Di Marzio and the likes of him. You can never prove them wrong because they make reservations such as should and barring any last minute complications etc. Which is why we should just wait for a confirmation from one of the clubs. If that is actually going to happen.
