This signing increasingly sounds like one being done for marketing reasons rather than football reasons.
It's a beautiful marriage. Pogba's abilities + potential is enough on its own. Together, however, it becomes a beast!

Yeah its not like he's better than all our current midfieldersThis signing increasingly sounds like one being done for marketing reasons rather than football reasons.

He's a Wum if ever there was one, ignore don't biteListen to yourself.
This threads run out of steam a bit hasn't it?
Both our central midfielders were allowed to go forward during our preseason games so far. The idea of central midfielders for Jose is very different than what LVG thinks of them. Pogba can play in a midfield 2, the only way he fails is if he's given a rigid role which limits his ability to go forward and run with the ball.Jose better abandon 4-2-3-1 which is just to accommodate rooney. Paul suits to 4-3-3. Hope he doesnt do van gaal again.
[La Stampa] Raiola: Pogba will arrive at Manchester next week and complete his signing
Raiola has announced should be next week.
“Next week we can seal the deal,” he told La Stampa.

Is that next week, as in, this week?
Yes, but it's about 1 or 2 days old
RIP. Another muppet falls at the last hurdle. If it's not completed by Friday next week then I'm retiring from this thread until it happens.
You absolute melt

Mourinho doesn't give a toss about how marketable he is; he wants him to be the driving force of our midfield.
Yeah its not like he's better than all our current midfielders

@Rory 7 defintely has an axe to grind.
Pogba would start for nearly every team in the world. He will improve our midfield without a shadow of a doubt.
Signing £25m midfielders and hoping they can step up isn't going to win us the big trophies. Jose wants winners in the team, not plod-a-long Joe Allen types.
Do you want to be the next Liverpool or the next Real Madrid?
I don't understand the hate - he's been a wonderful player for uslol the Rooney hate is really getting out of control.
Nah... Nothing will happen until he's back off holidayRIP. Another muppet falls at the last hurdle.
Be strong muppets. Tomorrow is Pogba day!
I really hope he never gets announced and he just strolls on to the pitch for the first game of the season.
@VanGaalEra Your next post in this thread...
ForEvraRed going to mate his nephew Paul in the states to congratulate him on the move of a lifetime and tell Paul what's required to succeed at United
It is really amazing to see how this super agents ( I would call them super greedy) affect the transfer market nowadays.
they play behind the screen so they are not targeted or blamed. I heard that the agent is demanding 20 mil for this
transfer. It seems like the agent is the one that is going to play.I personally think that football body should ban agents if possible. let the players deal directly with the club.bring some common sense regulation to the free market. Otherwise there wont be any limit and it wont be long before we start buying agents instead of players.

It'll be Carrick, not Schneiderlin.Because what makes him special is his ability to freely run forward with and without the ball, his ability to be a threat in the last third.
Edit: Pogba would work in a 4231 with Sneijder/Kroos as a #10 and someone like Krychowiak next to him. Not with Rooney and Schneiderlin at least not from the get-go.

This, I'm becoming worried he's going to miss the first few games which would piss me off. I'm going to the match against Southampton and I want to see Pogba! It's always "next week" or "next few days". I know it's gonna happen, but it's like Pogba wants to miss the start of the season or something.
There are now so many more positives to NOT signing him, I just think it would be hilarious!
