based on what? I love how posters like this think they have some kind of special insight, like THEY are the ones who can only see through the lies and deception. You have absolutely NO ITK knowledge around what is going to happen. Neither do the people hoping it will happen. However what we have is respected and reputable journalists telling us it's likely to happen, so we believe them until evidence shows otherwise.

I would guess he was just posting that there alot of cocksure people on here, and perhaps just perhaps it might not go as planned, I wouldn't say his post indicated he had any sort of inside knowledge.

It seems anyone who has doubts is best keeping their opinions to themselves at this point though.

"when people realise he was never going to sign" is implying he knows something Di Marzio/Di Marzio staff/Nerozzi etc doesn't know.

Oh god no, please don't censor yourself. That is the last thing i want, truly. However i think the best thing to do is to qualify where your doubts come from. Like if it's just "your gut" telling you that then at least make that clear, or if you think a reputable news article shows some new doubt then by all means.

This thread grew by only a page all night? I'm guessing everyone has accepted that it's done?
Well, there's nothing to discuss. It's just waiting for Pogba to get back from his vacation now and see what he does. I'm still a bit worried if he returns to Turin that they may be able to convince him to stay for another year.

Oh my god :lol::wenger:

There's always hope for them. Hope springs eternal. In 2009; I guess many United fans had hope Ronaldo would turn down Madrid.

United will never announce Pogba tomorrow. Not a chance. It will be after Rooneys testimonial, probably Thursday/Friday.

Expect a huge marketing campaign in the end next week. Pogba is back!!

I don't subscribe to that theory. If it gets done they will announce it.

People said we wouldn't announce before the game yesterday because of Zlatan, yet it was played in front of a half empty stadium (much like the Rooney game I expect) and it was hardly a huge event. If anything it might bring more excitement to the game.

As someone pointed out earlier, if they can get it done before then, you can guarantee that they'll announce it before the game. Perfect opportunity to sell some shirts in the Megastore and earn some money.

Juventuz is still convinced he's staying:wenger:
tbf, i had a look through the last few pages of their pogba thread, there are only a few juve fans thinking that he is staying, and they are basing it on nothing more than pogba leaving would mean the adidas ad was aimed at disrespecting Juve. I don't know how they connected those dot's but they are just clutching at straws.:lol:

The rest of the juve fans on there have come to terms with him leaving. This is killing both sets of fans because we just want it to be over. :D

The Rooney match is on wednesday, they might not want to overshadow that?

Jose said yesterday how we don't have time to get players ready for the start of the season. If Paul's arrival is imminent, I assume he will want it to be done asap, irrespective of Rooney's testimonial.

I dont think announcing it on Monday is overshadowing Rooney's testy. But in that case it might be Thursday/Friday. He is back from vacation on August 6th, which is Saturday but like people have said Im not too sure we announce deals on a weekend.

This made me chukle a bit. But yeah, it should be done next week regardless.

Yeah, you're probably right about that.

Or considering how bad his touch will be. Perhaps they might want to.

Fair point

Why wouldn't they though, imagine one of our players who had been with us for four years, who had seemingly loved been with us, and who had shown no inclining of wanting to go back to United suddenly signing United shirts, and was posting weird United hinting things on Instagram, the only conclusion that would make sense is that he is taking the p*ss and is actually staying, because if not the disrespect must be hard to fathom.

Ronaldo made no secret of wanting to go to Real, we all knew it, but he still didn't do any of this nonsense, Pogba imo is out of order with this, unless he is actually indeed staying..

The top journalists in Italy have said it's done for a few weeks, it's not just out of the blue! The Juve fans are just blinkered/in denial (as you'd expect to be fair)

Juventuz is still convinced he's staying:wenger:

That forum is crazy, it's like bluemoon, rawk and arsenal mania together. Some of them call him words already, some of them hate us big time and some of them are laughing at how much we pay for him.

Oh my god :lol::wenger:
I don't know why you need to laugh. Unless he's already signed the papers anything can happen. Another club might come with a bigger offer, player decides to stay for a bigger contract and many other scenarios which we have already experienced with several players.

In this case, I'm confident Pogba will come but we were confident in other players coming in the past and it resulted otherwise. We've fecked up too many transfers to trust that there won't be another twist involved in this.

It depends how you look at things. People say Pogba was treated harsh at the club but Pogba has stated he's got no problems with the club. That keeps it open. This is all advertising/Marketing etc. Pogba is a puppet in this and it will all be explained away. The Juventus fans are not being realistic. Where are all the American Juventus fans? They must exist right? Where are all the American Madrid fans? They must exist right....Like many things, it will blow over. Juventus made a massive profit and bought in some good players who have given them more depth. If they can't see that, they are ungrateful. Just like a five year contract doesn't mean someone will stay five years, they cannot lie about history and say Pogba did nothing for the Juventus cause.

They are sulking because a top player recognizes he's playing in a poor league. That's not to say Juventus are poor....it's to say he is not rightly recognized. They rely on Champions League so much but United simply don't. That's the reality. It wasn't cause we were given lots of money - it's just by hard work. Maybe they have it in their head, he will stay their forever? They are not being sensible. Not saying it's easy. Losing Ronaldo was a bitch but they have it MUCH better then we did because their club bought well and were were patient enough to allow them to bring in their players first.

Not really, no more than saying it's a 'done deal' which has been said a 1000 + times already on here, everything is obviously someones own opinion on here based on their own thoughts.

I wouldn't censor myself, and I'm not saying I don't think he'll sign, all I have ever said is that it is a very strange saga, and something just doesn't seem right with it all, imo of course.

Comments like these are getting boring. Nothing is 100% done until he's officially signed but he will be a Manchester United player by our 2nd premier league game.

Well, there's nothing to discuss. It's just waiting for Pogba to get back from his vacation now and see what he does. I'm still a bit worried if he returns to Turin that they may be able to convince him to stay for another year.

Are you ok?

It's the biggest transfer ever and Adidas are milking it. That's all. Adidas don't want this deal to last a week. They want to stretch it out but Journos don't always think like advertising people....so you get conflicts. That's just what we're seeing. Even them putting Zidane in a video means nothing. It's all about hyping a brand.

For sure, and I don't feel bad for the Juventus fans at all, they have had a near free Pogba, got a still world class Evra for peanuts off us, and they are now hopefully about to get world record fee, not saying they should be grateful becasue it was our fault, but they have certainly had their fill from us recently.

I am just try to put myself in their shoes, and the whole thing must stink, hence them thinking he is maybe actually staying.

Out of everyone who has posted in this thread, I consider myself to be the best at all things related to this transfer, I know he will sign and anyone, who is a realist and thinks that, until he signs, anything could happen is a chimpanzee's testicle sack!!
Is what 80% of folk on here thinks
:wenger:

You said it :) but let's not forget most of this is based on the fact we've seemingly gone for no one else. There would be no real reason for us to drag something out. I'd put it more like 90%

It will be announced on Monday or Tuesday. Adidas , woodward and Pogba have been milking it as much as they can. But now they have reached the limit of fanbase attention span (as this thread shows), and the next round of marketing will come when this is official.

It'll be announced when it's done. Juventus don't care about Rooney's testimonial.

I like that Zlatan is speaking about it

He shares an agent with Pogba, and the both are seemingly friends. Must have been in contact

Juventus are still stalling. It seem that during their meeting at Juventus hq Mino ordered a chicken sandwich and now they expect United to foot the bill. He also spilled some coffee which the cleaner took 10 minutes to clean.

I know this is crazy, but if you watch all the ad's in the context of the larger 1:40 ad you can see which parts might be in our ad. The starkest part of the ad is pogba's "neutrality". In the longer ad he's not with Juve players, in the Juve centric ad, he's not featured at all. An now if you look at the adidas twitter they said in regards to a MUFC ad "trust us, it will be special".

What seems to be obvious is not that pogba has signed, it's the fact (seemingly) that at the time of shooting, pogba and adidas had no idea about his future. No other player featured in the ad's is a "neutral". Now i could be COMPLETELY wrong here, however I think they are going to film additional material when pogba joins. Looking at their twitter, they said "keep an eye out in the coming weeks." in regards to the MUFC ad. Hence it's not going to drop tonight and possible not even before pogba joins.

I think when the MUFC finally comes out, pogba will have shot a new clip and under the white jacket he will reveal a red MUFC shirt, even though he doesn't had a red shirt on in the ad right now. I expect additional filming to change that.

I await your thorough dissection of my crazy ramblings :wenger::lol::wenger:

Wasn't the previous deadline Friday evening, according to a well known journalist?
Now it's Monday? What makes you think this?

Mate, it's going to get done. Have a little patience, it's a HUGE deal. Pogba is on holiday, it doesn't make sense to announce anything yet.

You guys are making yourself ill with all of this. It will be ok :)
