What have I missed from today so far? Guessing it's nothing?

Very fortunate that the guy had two brand new United-branded footballs with him as he strolled down the road and bumped into Pogba...

In fairness, the constant stream of media being released now that points directly at him signing for us does make me a little paranoid. Adidas are playing us all!

Whole thing does seems staged to me. The fact that earlier on a guy so happened to be wearing a United shirt with Pogba on the back, and conveniently manages to bump into him for an autograph.

I agree it's all a big conspiracy isn't it!

In truth, Adidas, Dimarzio and the rest of the reliable Italian journalists, most of the British press are fecking with our minds.

Not to mention that the club's photographer, Chevrolet, Lingard, Valencia, following Pogba on insta are playing a trick on us.

Damn the illuminati, I know they're behind this!!

What's so marketable about Pogba. I keep hearing this.
You only become marketable by winning accolades and trophies
He isn't as marketable as Neymar and Messi. You can also throw in Bale, Ronaldo, Hazard, Suarez etc...

I think you may just be out-of-touch.

Pogba is easily as marketable as Neymar, and both of these will likely become some of the most marketable sport-stars in the world soon. They tap into an urban culture which is largely untapped by footballers thus far, and as shown by the recent Adidas campaign with Pogba featuring Stormzy, is something Adidas is starting to exploit.

Someone should take a Juve shirt up to him to see what he does.

Lol I was thinking exactly this, surely there are Juve fans currently desperate enough to go do it. I still think he would sign it though, which has no implications on his final destination. Imagine the grief he would get for not signing a kids shirt , he would be under siege with "oh look he thinks he's above us now after all we have done for him, the arrogant twat"

The lad can't win

Bang on.

Watch the video

Can you guys imagine if this guy who is signing stuff is a doppelganger? (A look-alike).

Imagine!

So what's the best Pogba vs X video out there to really moisten the loins?

I've watched that massive 28 minute highlight one, so I want something that actually shows him across a whole game single-handedly pooping on another team. Then I can get excited.

I won't quote your post @Raoul but I'm just commenting on one initial comment ruining a whole thread of quotes. Ties in nicely with the craziness of this thread.

OK Now I am fecking convinced Pogba ISN'T coming.

Just seen Pogba's instagram and I quote:

"news: we catch Pogba with his contract in Universal Studios LA amusement park"
"breaking news: Pogba undergoes medical check in Universal Studios amusement park California"

This was all posted by Paul Pogba himself. Surely if he was coming here he wouldn't troll Juventus fans like that. That is quite disrespectful to Juventus and their fans after everything they have given to him.

I think its over guys... :(
Are you trolling?

I won't be held responsible if this thread breaks

There needs to be 157 extra pages, plus not sure what the maximum number of pages is on the thread here before breaking, have you capped it on the forums? an int is 2147M posts so I think we can go beyond that, a long is 9223372036854775807 good luck reaching that.

Adios

What an excellent video. Is that someone's own YouTube production or a media companies?

Seems like it's that YouTube channels production.

Edit: what's happening with the quoting system today?!

Just pointing out, not that it really matters.

Well it pushes the idea that it's all staged so I wouldn't say that :) Something organic would happen more natural. What was to stop this person posting it as soon as they got in? I think there's a lot of misdirection etc but it's all positive. Only a few people would bothered to check that. Most would assume it was today so I think it's like a slow 'kill' so to speak. This is very contrived and staged basically.

I think it's good to have doubts over price-tags to people in here though.

I myself am a contradiction because I think it's a fair price, contracts a measured in a few factors: Marketability, Age, Ability. Part of the deal sees Manchester United having his image rights which brings the club more revenue.

However without the doubts, the naysayers there wouldn't be the romanticism in sport to score wonderful goals, to make his return to the club and silence the Rivals.

Ronaldo had a similar moment after World Cup 2006 when Rooney got sent off. He had the country opposing him (Ronaldo) sometimes you need some kind of negativity around you, it bonds a team to succeed and Pogba isn't short of confidence.

We all know at this stage the deal is "when" not "if". Last year I couldn't say Depay will be good, I'd barely seen him, the same with Martial. I got excited with Schweinsteiger but I think it's sometimes easy to get carried away.

It's Important for people for fans to keep their feet on the ground and let the player do the talking on the field.
