Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Not that it should matter for us fans, but this should put an end to whether Pogba is worth £100m or not:

Good watch, guy pretty much agrees with what most of us have said in here. Expensive yes, but the market is inflated and hes a good investment. More importantly, good at football progbably

Don't get why people care whether Pogba is or isn't worth the price were paying for him. We're not paying it, I don't care what I spend on footy manager either. Just get him in the fecking team so he plays for us each week. The price is irrelevant to a supporter.

He looks like a twat?

It's like I've stumbled into a Memphis thread.

These bloody kids today, with the clothes, and the funny hats and the tattoos. In my day a footballer wore a smart shirt and slacks with tassled loafers. Pffft.

And yet you are. I think quite likely it is intentional, and although I cannot prove that to be the case, the end result is ultimately the same.

Perhaps it would be best if you just cut out the Madrid schtick completely as all you're doing is spoiling the enjoyment of others. I realise it's only an inconsequential transfer discussion amongst strangers on the internet but do you really want to be someone who is simply do nothing else but pissing other people off for no valid reason?

Getting pissed off over someone you don't know on a football forum? Blimey.

Like the BBC? Or do you mean only the BBC?

Because if it's the former which publications, broadcasters or journalists do you consider as equally credible? Regardless if you're even willing to concede that other reliable sources do exist then I can assure you that Di Marzio is one of them and quite frankly I'm surprised that you aren't already aware of this.

However, if it's the latter then you should really just say that.

No I don't only mean the BBC, I'am talking about real credible media or sources; For me that are national boradcasting networks like: BBC (UK), CNN (US), RAI (Italy), France Télévisions (France), VRT (Flanders)

For example I'am from Belgium, and the national broadcasting network is VRT and all sports news gets reported by Sporza which is part of the VRT. If something gets reported there, I'am 100% sure it is reliable and I'll completley trust it.

Other reliable sources are ofcourse the clubs, Raiola and Pogba himself for this story

Di Marzio is just a journalist who does most of his work by spreading information over twitter. Compared to lets say 99% of all the bullshit you find on twitter, he will be among the most reliable sources. But his info is never 100% reliable, it always stays in the realm of rumours. Most of the rumours he confirms do end up being true but there are also stories he gets wrong, for example Gomes going to Barca, he got completley wrong, he claimed Gomes was going to Real Madrid, and he ended up signing for Barca, which he admitted he was misinformed about. Most of the news being reported here on redcafe are actually twitter journo's that just retweet all the stories from Di Marzio. Occasionaly some other reliable twitter source says something about Pogba being done and weeks ago L'equippe were saying strong things about it and Sky sports has also claimed Pogba was going to United but none of those are actually 100% reliable like national broadcasting networks like the BBC. When it gets reported by those sources as a done deal, it is news and you can expect it is really done and will get announced by the clubs very soon. But until now nothing has been reported by any sources like the BBC, they only have stories running about the stuff that happens on Pogba's or Raiola's twitter etc but not actual information about the deal and that is definiatley done.

I do think the move will happen because there is too much smoke for there not be a fire but I also think the deal isn't as done yet as some on here are claiming it to be. I also do think there is a highly unlikely but not impossible chance that it won't go through. So i'am not going to discard any bad news just as I don't discard any good news. I do think we will sign him, but I'am not certain it is done and until it gets reported by a real credible source, this uncertainty will remain.

If we sign Pobga and he plays poorly for few months then we will see lot of these posts about his cars, hair styles and attitude.

Supporters should care about the allocation of resources.

What an excellent video. Is that someone's own YouTube production or a media companies?

"thinks he's made it, look at that hair! why does he drive a nice car instead of catching the 250 to old trafford?! Fergie was right all along"

Whats up with this Ehsanul guy? At this point its like sticking to a fantasy that will never happen. Its done ffs. He should move on with his life.

Some people suspect he's on a massive WUM

Someone said he posted very early in the thread that Madrid can't compete with us financially now.

Either that or he's had a massive nervous breakdown at the mere possibility something will go wrong

It is indeed. Was posted about 400 pages ago. Anyone who still thinks 100m is too much for him after watching that, needs a serious head check.

People are on edge, it's peak muppet breeding time and you are in their biggest orgy nest calling people gay.

So true.

If you can't handle the naysayers/worriers that "I am not sure if he is joining us or not" OR the people who are loving every second of the idea of the World Record Transfer fee, it's best you stay out of this (muppet) thread.
Don't forget there are a lot of youngsters posting in this thread, so they won't be so level headed or willing to wait for an official announcement.
They'll believe the deal is done, if Pogba wears red socks, because MUFC's colours are red. :nervous:

It's just how a transfer thread goes and you have to take it for what it is.
Don't take anything in here too seriously and you'll be fine. ;)

Thread Numbers
What I love about this thread is its the biggest transfer thread of all time (33.6k) and it just happens to be for the biggest transfer of all time.
This thread is the fastest growing thread, ever.
This thread has 2.68M views (and rising fast). To put this into context: if I did a google ads campaign to get that many views/clicks it would probably cost over £1M!!!

The Pogba deal, as well as this thread, has some truly mind-blowing stats and it may be several years before we get close to matching these numbers, let along surpassing them.

Although there is another side to the story with LvG - in that he was absolute rubbish in terms of his management. Simeone's Atletico have proven that you don't need galactico signings to win leagues and reach 2 out of 3 CL finals.

Definitely.

Edit: What's up with the quoting system?

Out of interest, are bookies still taking bets on which club Pogba will play for next season?
It does seem that in the USA at least, Pogba is telling everybody that he is a MUFC player. In Europe though, his agent is telling everybody that this is not the case.

I love how I fecked up a chain of quote replies there.

Signed few more merchandise.

Very fortunate that the guy had two brand new United-branded footballs with him as he strolled down the road and bumped into Pogba...

In fairness, the constant stream of media being released now that points directly at him signing for us does make me a little paranoid. Adidas are playing us all!

If I lived in LA, I would walk around places Pogba could be while playing pokemon Go with a bag full of Manchester United merchandise and a hydration pack.

We are looking into it.

So what you are saying is redcafe should take a lesson from united and commercialise a bit? The Pogba thread brought to you by Budweiser. We could help pay off agent fees if we got a big enough thread.

Funny how everywhere Pogba goes someone has some United merch to sign

This is his way of saying "chill guys, I'm coming"

He's clearly 'worth' the 100m. The market has dictated that price. I just don't want us to sign him. For all the reasons I've already gone through. But you are right. The fee isn't in question.

It's done deal. Someone who met Pogba accidentally was wearing ManUtd jersey with Pogba's name on it (which he signed). It was clearly staged just like this one is.

Forgot what those reasons were. What were they again ?
