Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Might just be b.s., but it's interesting how reports of Real Madrid finally offering us Varane surface just when reports have us close to getting Pogba.

Fact is Real Madrid would have to sell players before spending massively on Pogba.

Would you rather have Pogba or let Pogba go to Real Madrid and bring in Varane & James Rodriguez instead??

Wouldn't call that a fact mate. The one I'd take from them is Kroos though

Just going to leave this here, close to 33,000 posts on their pogba transfer forum thread. If he ends up at United, will be so sweet!

This is from 'mattyb' - one of their posters:
Unfortunately I've just heard a deal has been put in place for his agent to bring him, Ibra and Mkhitaryan to United.

Not from my usual source's, but from one of Rooney's sponsors

And a reply about him:

I could be wrong, but a quick look at mattyb's profile suggests he has had quite a bit of inside knowledge previously.

And also:
Liverpools best ITK (Macca) is saying Pogba to Utd is pretty much done.

In that scenario if Real lost out on Pogba then they would still need a big signing, even more so in fact. So they would probably still be looking to sell Varane, sign Pogba first then get back to Real saying the Fax machine was on the blink again, but if he's still available we'll take Varaen off your hands.

Yeah who's this Macca Liverpool ITK?

No idea - it got the typical response:

Well I can't claim to know him personally, just like I said before he's the most well known Liverpool itk.

The worst 'ITK' is the one who claims to have insider knowledge of a player signing for your own club - I think they tend to be less full of rubbish if they are reporting on other teams.

That is just my impression, anyway (and my hope :)

In terms of transfers that Macca ITK called the Milner and Charlie Adam transfer and that Torres handed in a transfer request.
How the feck he would know about a United transfer is beyond me. Friend of Sakho maybe?

A quick glance at mattyb's posts finds 1) he said City were likely to get David Villa on loan last January, and 2) that Heaton would start vs San Marino (Hart did), 3) that we were in for Adebayor.

Hell of an ITK

I actually believe its PogbON, but not getting really excited.

A Pogba could get us one Kante and one Sane, would much rather have those two, hell we would still have change left to get for example Fabinho. But I guess it is inevitable that Woodie will get a marquee signing and smash the transfer record, the hobbit has virtually been dying to do it for years now, and finally he has a manager that is able to attract such names. I also reckon our sponsors are dying for something jizzworthy to market, and Woodie aim to please since we've had little luck on the pitch in later years.

Mino on Lineker. That parody Twitter account is surely in a conception phase...

I guess the difference here from the Neymar transfer is the real relationship we currently have with Riola and that Pogba has lived here before and says that he 'misses' Manchester and has a lot of friends here.

It is still in the 'believe it when you see it' category, however.

Exactly this.

We can even get Ounas alongside Kante and Sane and it would still be the same price as Pogba.

Need him to have a shocker and France to go out. Ideally sent off for petulance whilst Payet has a stormer and looks really shiny to Real Madrid.

Shocking that we had this guy on our books 4 years ago and now we're talking world record fees.

I've not believed any of the bullshit for the last 3 years regarding Pogba - but I'm now coming around to the fact that we seem, indeed, to finally have come around to getting into bed with Raoila.

Can't really complain if we end up with Mikhatryan Ibrahimovic and Pogba though, it should make our squad the best in the league. Still a bit wary about central midfield but I am convinced Jose will puzzle out a way to make the guys we have work together.

Team would be up there but squad still littered with the Tony V, Young, Lingards of this world. We have 1 quality option in each position and even CB is shaky as they are just Cahill level or worse

EDIT: I think Arsenal squad will have more quality

Villa and Adebayor were heavily linked in the press though. Especially Adebayor. Still get shivers reading those rumours.

POGON

A lot of smoke coming out of this one but perhaps hes just burnt his hair on the straighteners.....anyway there is a lot linking us to him but it would seem to me like this is a whole lot of pressure from Raiola to get Madrid in on the action and as it would seem either Madrid just aren't that bothered (who can blame them with Kroos, Modric, Casemiero, Kovacic and a couple other out liers) or they absolutely need to sell before buying which is more likely. But honestly they may sell James, Verane, Kovacic etc but it still leaves them with huge selection issues. Who out of Kroos and Modric do you drop when they compliment each other perfectly and Pogba would seem to unbalance that selection, he is far more attacking than Kroos, not a controlling midfielder like Modric and not a defensive player at all compared with Casemiero. It makes little to no sense for Madrid to spunk 100m on him, as much as they would like to make a statement, I dont think this is the one they need.

For me, Hazard makes much more sense for them as Ronaldo seems to be ever so slightly dropping off, Hazard would compliment the team more rather than Pogba.

So it remains to be seen, will Juve sell, at 100m they would be bloody stupid not to. Would Pogba wanna come back? Its probably his third choice after Madrid/Barca he needs to be made aware however that for the fee we are paying, unless there is a specific Madrid release clause ALA DDG, then he will not be sold for anything less than the 100m and if he puts in performances to suggest he is worth less than that Madrid wont want him.

This is the perfect statement signing, I would be extremely excited if he came, wed go from potential top 4 candidates to League favourites combined with a new CB (Bunnuci plz) and a RB (Fabinho PLZ)

Bluemoon have now deleted their Pogba thread. All 33k posts and started over again.

The thread has been re-set.....a traffic issue or do the Mods know it's going to explode?
Ha, no it's just that the old thread was too big and slowing the server down. We routinely prune the largest threads.

How smalltime is that? It was open for over 3 years and now it's time for the routine cleanup..

I refuse to get sucked into this one, had my heart broken too many times

There is a lot of smoke but nothing credible. Its all gossip column newspapers. If there was any real traction behind the deal then Di Marzio would have commented on it by now.

Juventus have sold better players. However he won't come cheap

That had my laughing out loud sir.

Which credible outlet has suggested Pogba to United is a likelihood?

Why are you moving the goal posts? The post I quoted from you never mentioned anything about the likelihood of it.

Latest I read was him mentioning Juve will not sell Pogba to United.

So he has commented on the deal then. You just said he hadn't.

We are in out famous "preparing a bid" stage.
Dont expect much for the next 18 months.

The "smoke" I mentioned was in reference to Pogba to United being a likely possibility. I thought that went without saying, given the momentum of this thread.

So he has commented on the deal then. You just said he hadn't.

Di Marzio hasn't commented along the same grain. If anything he's nullified it. Again, I thought it was obvious that my reference to Di Marzio was him commenting on it being a real likelihood. Didn't know I had to spell that one out.
