About as reliable as it gets.

L'ÉQUIPE are very reliable. there are alot of wheels on this pogba bus. If coming back to United was in the cards I can see this transfer happening after euros. exciting times and love that we are going to go 4-3-3!

I thought this was nothing but press talk, but the rumours don't seem to go away, with some very reputable sources claiming we want him. Time to legitimately start thinking this might happen?

The thing about Pogba is he was brought to the club just before Ronaldo kicked on and United went on that domestic and European run. He was here to experience the buzz and excitement of that period. He then leaves after we reach a CL final so didn't really observe any down time at our club.
That has to leave an impression on a young player. Knowing what status is he capable of enjoying if Mourinho and he bring us back to those days.

exactly.... at the start I figured it was some click bate Bull shit like neymar and Messi bids. but it really seems we are trying to get him. we may or may not succeed but clearly we aren't being cheep skates and willing to give Juve silly money, willing to give pogba silly money and willing to sign all of Raiola's clients as bribery for him to push through the deal for us.

If Manchester United offered me £24m.. I'd be telling Pogba Real Madrid will demolish his career too.

Pogba could really be the marketing gem we have been missing. Woody would have him eating noodles out of his Adidas boots on an Emirates flight in no time!

well these guys are legit, if Di Marzio, L'Équipe, Massimiliano Nerozzi say there's movement on Pogba's front you better believe it. Only one missing from that list of super ultra reliability is Carlo Laudisa when it comes to Juve.

we're being used. it's so blatant. Pogba wants Madrid, who aren't looking at him, so he's going to make them take notice. It's like the slutty girl that flirts with the poor chump to get the attention of the dude she wants to bang.

When will it be our turn to bang? WHEN!!

I disagree about Rooney. Is he a top class player? No, of course not.... But he still has a ton in the tank to give the team. The beauty about this squad is
A) we will be exciting to watch.. And score a lot of goals.
B) we have a great line up and our bench is better than half the premier leagues first teams.
C) we have enough talent and enough real tactics to win games thus relieving pressure on players like Rooney.
D) Rooney can break the record and he deserves it in my opinion.
E) we start decreasing his role tactically and let him ride off...

In summary I think the potential makeup of this squad us more than enough to compete with and quite possibly compete for the title this season is a good fit for Rooney. Less pressure and more opportunities and a winning mentality are contagious.

I think the biggest miscommunication so far is this idea from a growing number of outlets that we only went after Mkhitaryan to sweeten Raiola to the idea of signing both Zlatan and Pogba. With the increasing reliability of the rumours that our pogba interest is genuine, I believe the club seriously wanted all three from the get go, and it was just a happy coincidence that the same manager represented all three.

Agreed. He happens to have a striker, an industrious attacker who can play on the right, and a creative central midfielder on his books. We need three players with those descriptions so we've not only gotten into bed with him but also decided to go balls deep. No reason why the relationship can't be fruitful.

Well, apart from him being a scumbag and probably screwing us in a couple of years time but we'll cross that bridge later.

This whole thing screams of using us to build up the hype and force Madrid's hand, it really does.

I'd love to be proven wrong, and I couldn't even care what the numbers involved are, but I just don't see this one happening. Although we're clearly trying.

Yawn. This is not as tedious as the Neymar nonsense but still this isn't happening, I'm 100% sure of it and this is based solely on me having no clue whatsoever, just my gut feeling regarding United and major transfers never coming to fruition.

Mourinho cannot alter the fact that Rooney is physically a shadow of what he was, that's not confidence or formations and systems, it's simply nature.
I'm confident if he isn't playing well Mourinho will drop him unlike LVG.

Usually I'd agree and I still doubt we will sign Pogba but what's giving me hope is the transfer fee. It seems nobody but ourselves are willing to pay it (at the moment) and his agent suddenly loves United and Mourinho, there's a chance it will happen imo.

There's a real chance it will happen but I suspect Real will all of a sudden 11:59 find the money......

:nono: Aeroflot. Munching Mr Potato crisps dipped in Casillero del Diablo.

I don't mind chasing big names, I just hope we're sensible enough to have a good plan B. Going all out for Ramos and then signing nobody at all can't be allowed to happen again.

If Real do sign Kante it could get interesting.

I wouldn't mind Kante if they take Pogba though.

Madrid sign Pogba. Madrid has to sell one or two to make way. Hames to PSG, perhaps? Mou will get his main target, Kroos. :D:drool:

If it doesn’t mean we lose focus on realistic targets go for it Woody. It would be an exciting signing and with Zlatan, Mikhi, Bailly and Mourinho as our Manager it would make us the team to beat and favorit for the title next season. I would love it to be feared and hated again.

Di Maria?

Di Maria?

Did we sign Di Maria from a club who really wanted him to stay...No not really, also to the players own admission he wanted to join PSG and had it not been for FFP he would have.

If Real do really want him and his desire is not solely based on a weekly wage I'd imagine him joining them over us, Pogba has been quoted as saying his preferred destination is Barca but it seems they cannot afford him so yes we have the financial muscle to get him but I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed at Juve either. I'd love to be proved wrong but I really do not see this signing happening.

That is a close one to call. I mean you are talking about two legendary midfielders there, two of the all time greats.

Isn't it funny that we accuse Mourinho for not trusting kids when we've let such world class player talent go because we insisted on SAF's golden oldies and kids?

Assault on Pogba, contact United-Juventus - La Stampa

Marotta: "he is not for sale". But the British will bid

Manchester United (re) wants Paul Pogba, who played with the Red Devils until 2012 before being taken to zero euro from Juve, and to do that is preparing a super deal. While waiting, he probed the ground, if there's already been a first contact between the executive vice-president of the English club, Ed Woodward, and leaders Juventus. Whose line remains firm: "Pogba is not for sale." Unless, as he always repeated to Beppe Marotta, is not to ask him, and behind indispensable price. The United Jose Mourinho will try it, as reported on edition paper and digital de "La Stampa" and the French newspaper "L'Equipe", which devotes an entire page to Pogba.

FASCINATING Mourinho

Pogba, you know, want to play and win the Champions League, Juve and United will not, at least next season, after the disasters of Louis Van Gaal. However, it seems that the French were tantalized by the idea of working with Mourinho, whose charm never sets. Above all, it runs out of its spending capacity, as in Manchester are ready to go mad to please him. According to "L'Equipe", as early as next week, the United would be prepared to submit an official offer to Juventus. In recent months, around the name of Pogba were three clubs remained substantially: Real Madrid, Manchester City and United. The latter now seems that with more likely to groped the assault on the French Juve: if he will succeed there, it will be a matter of price. It will, of Pogba.

I've no doubt that we're in for him. But with Juve saying he's not for sale, having no need to sell nor replacement and Pogba not angling for a move (in the way Targaryen did) then it still seems like our Neymar bids.
