Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Definitely not. We should have tried harder to sign Bale.

Pogba is just as talented if not more talented than Bale. So whats the difference? If anything Pogba is a proven winner with 4 serie A titles under his belt by age 23. What did Bale do at the same age with Spurs?

lmao why would Juve have to pay an agent's fee when you want to buy their player?
Pretty sure it's common practice to have a sell on percentage go to the agent. A team sets an overall price and a portion of that goes to the agent. Juventus are saying they want 120m after they pay off the agent, not the 120m all together like what was reported they asked for initially so that's probably where the stall comes from .

Even Bouhafsi couldnt give us any news on whats going on. Damn it is indeed dark times.
Quiet before the fireworks mate.

I bet we are letting Juve enjoy their Higuain moment before the main event tomorrow!

This has been repeated a million times. When Pogba signed for Juve, a clause was agreed in his contract that Raiola would get 20% of any future transfer value.

I really want United to make a take it or leave it offer, even if it means walking away. I don't want to sign Pogba if he isn't wanting to be here.

No other club would pay this kind of fee for Pogba and we should be in the driving seat here. Even if the deal fell through I'm sure we would get over it if we signed another midfielder for 40-50m.

Andre Gomes, Renato Sanches and Pjanic have all gone for less and could have proven just as good for us. Pogba is the number one choice and I know why he is that, given his uncapped potential. But I never want to see United held to ransom by a player or agent. I'd rather take a.player striking to get a move to United. #rojoisred

Pilib de brun doing another periscope soon, if anyone on here is watching, could you let me know what he says about this deal? Thanks

Just listened to a bit:

Woodward won't let agent fee ruin the deal.

This will get done.

It's all his opinion, nothing groundbreaking

The guy has obviously decided he wants to join us and with the fee being agreed with Juve, only the agent fee left. Surely Pogba can have a word in his ear and ask him to take half the amount to get the deal done, providing Juve pay it.

He's like Tancredi in my opinion. An attention seeking chancer.
Yep, if he had anything concrete he would have broke it. Just more speculation and opinions. Listen to him if you are an aspiring journo and want tips on how to keep your followers interested.

Sound logic if you ask me. Woodward have been dying for a marquee signing since he took over, and he's certainly not going to let the transfer of the century go to shit over an agent fee imo.

Please post evidence of this - it's not that I disagree, I literally haven't seen any source say Juve are skint apart from people here.

I don't think it's about been skint. It's about can they afford a 90M Euro player without significant sales to compensate.

Tuned in late but said something about Jose started working on this 6 months ago and wanted to keep it quiet due to LVG.
Don't believe Spanish press, they have their agenda. blah blah blah.
Still thinks it will be done, just United and Juve posturing over Raiola fee.
Pogba is Juve's best player and they don't want to appear that they're just rolling over for money.
If United don't sign Pogba, and fail this season, Woodward's head should be on a stick.

Nothing factual, all speculation and opinion.

Transfer of the century? Have a word

They're owned by the Agnellis who are worth a fortune and injected more funds this Summer. Sure they'd rather have £120m but I don't think they HAVE TO sell.
They are trying to run it like a viable business. They don't have to, they could pump their own money into the club like City or PSG but it would be a complete change in approach for them. They are €188m in debt they make almost nothing currently in operating profit so the money would have to come from outside the club or from it's assets.

Ok thanks

Pilib De Brun also said that he thinks IF we fail to land Pogba and fail to qualify for CL this season, Woodward will be sacked seeing as he has had such a huge transfer kitty yet failed to make the make the most of it.

I'm always on the 'not really my money, who cares' side of the argument when it comes to paying exorbitant fees for players, but even I don't think United should given in to Juve's demands anymore. If the likes of Di Marzio etc are to be believed, then Juve should keep their end of the deal up and pay Raiolo's cut themselves out of their pockets as was agreed upon by them and the agent. If United gives in to this, will set a horrible precedent for transfers. A firm 'take it or leave it' offer now should be it, and if not, United should walk away.. It isn't the amount that is now the issue, it is just the principle of the deal and how Juve is acting by not paying up what they promised Raiola. We should set an ultimatum, take it or leave it, and walk away.

I feel we hold all the cards in this deal now. After spending all that on Higuain, If United threaten to walk away, Juve will be at the risk of ending up with a massive loss in their transfer dealings for the summer, as well as an unhappy player in Pogba in their squad who was denied a massive windfall of cash cause they didn't stick to their word with his agent. Let's see what happens then...

The correct translation is "We will see, at the moment everything stopped."

Pogba al Manchester United? Vedremo, al momento tutto fermo"

He may be referring to the fact that neither us nor Juve want to compromise on Raiola's fee.

Agreed, the sentence is more like "We will see, at this moment everything is blocked".
Which confirms previous talks but also the fact that it's not moving forward.

The Vidal thread was funny and reached its numbers organically. This thread has been a shitty spamfest with a large number of posts being just about the post count. It doesn't even deserve to be compared.

Casting my mind back I do remember laughing a good deal more while the Vidal thread was going on compared to this time around. Chef 'Progba' going all ITK on Instagram was amusing but really this is one of few highlights in contrast to the Nigerian rapper/DJ/performer at Arturo's sister's wedding (who the hell knows what he was), Chilevision and Agent Equaliser (Raiola's a complete joy-killer in comparison).

It's true the spam-posting certainly hasn't helped in this thread with two particular individuals doing their very best Chuckle Brothers routine pretty much since the rumours first started.

All that being said the Vidal thread (as entertaining as it was for a while) did die a slow lingering death and really stopped being fun long before it became painfully apparent he wasn't leaving Juve. Having had a chance to participate directly in this thread, whereas during the Vidal saga I was still in the Newbies, I hope this one at least concludes on a much more positive note!

From their point of view i'm also guessing they can sell Pogba next season for a similar fee to Madrid. Meaning they will recover their losses then instead of now. Suits them more aswell because they get to have one last run at the Champions League with him in addition to the excellent signings they have made.

We seriously need to have our heads checked if we pay THAT agent £25m. So many talented players signed for less, feckin Suarez was only £21m a few years ago. That fat f*ck would cost more than most Prem teams record signing, just insane
