Been away for a week - is this really happening?
Wish we knew. Up in the air still.

Yep. He doesn't know even half of what he pretends to know.He seems to have built himself quite a reputation somehow but he doesn't half contradict himself. Gives little twists to the same nonsense everyday.
There is al limit to haggling. It seems Juve is taking the piss now.I hope Woody isn't haggling over €10m.

Exactly, all summer the €120m was being thrown around, so Woody had to be prepared to pay that if push came to shove. The 110m + bonuses is just hagling.Hasn't it always been said that Juventus want €120m? So it makes sense that Juventus want more if we've offered €110m + €10m add ons. Nothing to worry about tbh.
No, its going the way all the others went.Been away for a week - is this really happening?

The key here is Pogba and just how badly he wants to leave. If he really wants to leave, they aren't going to miss out in 110m+ in order to have an unhappy player earning a fraction of what he could be earning. But just telling Juve that he wants to leave is different than being desperate to leave.

Lucky sod.....you now won't have to live the last 300 odd pages.....

No, the Vidal saga was 2014. Bayern signed him in 2015. That would be one very slow swoop.
Also, we never bid for Vidal. Every Vidal story came from Italy and Chile, but English journos were briefed on a couple occasions that we were not bidding. Vidal and/or his agent wanted us to bid. We had legitimate concerns about his knee, as he had come back too soon from surgery you play in the World Cup, and was never 100% during the tournament (even came off in Extra time against Brazil, despite being Chile's best penalty taker).
Yes, 100% done next week
How so sure mate?
I mean in Di Marzio's artcle, it says Juve want more money, but it doesn't say we've had a bid rejected. People are adding 1+1 and getting 3
The oracles and fortune tellers can't agree, the Soros crew won't have it that Woody gets bullied by the CEO gang, and Juve are publishing hourly financial reports to troll cafites.Been away for a week - is this really happening?
I'm at a party and there is a dude with a Juventus shirt on, never seen a Juve fan in jamaica, Is this a bad omen
When you are reminded of the falling out with SAF, would seem odd for him to want to come back but the financial aspect might be something he values more

this is Jamaica, it's normalIt's more unnerving that someone is wearing a football shirt to a party tbf
Wrong. Fergie isn't the manager anymore and if he was as influential now, we would have retained guys like Fletcher of even Giggs.
Pogba himself told in an interview he wants to come back to united in his career.
Not really - he's always spoken fondly of United and his time in Manchester generally. Indeed, there is likely a good bit of 'unfinished business' in his mind given how he seems to be quite driven to succeed but his time at United could be deemed a failure ( with him having to move away for regular football)... In that case, coming back for a world record fee, with the most successful manager currently working to rebuild the team (and get paid a shed load of cash to do so) must surely be a tempting, if not irresistible, prospectWhen you are reminded of the falling out with SAF, would seem odd for him to want to come back but the financial aspect might be something he values more

Di Marzio didn't say that. We had our first bid rejected, but not the second. They are still negotiating over the second bid.Not really, wanting more money does actually mean the seem as having a bid rejected.
If we offer €120m for Pogba and Juve says no we want more money than that, then it is the same as rejected.

"TEN SHECKLES !! You must be mad".There is al limit to haggling. It seems Juve is taking the piss now.
Where? Would like to see this.
So I bought the article.
Discussions have been started between executives of Man Utd and those of Juventus for the transfer of Paul Pogba.
And what if he came back, 4 years later? The possibility to see Paul Pogba again in a Manchester United shirt takes more and more credibility as days pass as a first contact has been made between Ed Woodward, the executive director of the Red Devils, and Juventus Turin executives, where the 23 years old French international is under contract until 2019. Of English source, Manchester leans on a substantial financial envelope to finalise this case and satisfy the desires of Jose Mourinho, who already dreamed of Pogba, last summer, when he was at Chelsea. This works out great, Juventus has no intention to negotiate starting a certain amount (we're being told 100 M€).
For Pogba, coming back one day at Manchester was a step in his career plan.
The Portugese manager of Manchester United considers, in a first phase, to use a 4-3-3 formation, Pogba and Wayne Rooney as "relaying" midfielders, Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a centre forward, Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitarian supporting the Swedish. The arrivals of Ibra and the Armenian international of the Borussia Dortmund are also about to be concluded. And those 2 players have a common point with Pogba: they share the same agent, Mino Raiola. The agent works hard since several days to speed up this deal, along with others, more random, in the media. "We are at the beginning of a negotiation phase, did he share with the Spanish newspaper Marca, on 20th June. Pogba admires the Real Madrid and Zidane, and this will weight in his decision."
In general, Raiola does not talk publicly on the state of negotiations regarding players under contract with him and, yesterday, on the Italian-Dutch agent side, they didn't want to talk about Manchester's interests, "and no other topic that is not related to the Euro". However, the contact is well activated and the possibility to see Raiola realize most of the recruitment of Manchester at a moment when Mourinho, whose agent is the powerful Joge Mendes, comes to the club, has something unreal. Especially as sir Alex Ferguson, in his auto biography entitled Leading, justified the leaving of the young French, in 2012. "There are one or two football agents who I simply dislike, and Raiola, the agent of Pogba, is one of them. Him and me, we were like oil and water. From there it was dead in the water since Raiola could integrate himself with Paul and his family and the player signed with Juventus." In a certain way, the fact that the return of Pogba is considered shows the loss of influence of sir Alex within the club.
By the way, for Pogba, coming back one day at Manchester was a step in his career plan. Even though he left the office of Ferguson in a tense context, the former Havre player always appreciated the club and its environment. Recently, in an interview at So Foot, he lauded Paul Scholes, who "could shoot ten times, ten times he would put the ball at the same place", and appreciate the fact that in England, "they want to score goals over there". If the Italian football has made him progress tactically, the Premier League was always in a corner of the mind of "la Pioche" even though he was tempted to join la Liga, last summer...
Not playing the Champions League could weight in this decision, since MU has to contend of the Europa League this season. But the perspective of playing under Mourinho tempts Pogba, really. New appointments should occur between Woodward and his Turin counterparts next week and a first offer could come in to buy the last 3 years of the player. At Manchester, the latter would find back his team mates in the national team, Anthony Martial and Morgan Schneiderlin, with whom he has to mention the club, its news and the pleasure of wearing its shirts. He wore them only 3 times in the league, in 2011-2012, and once in Europa League. And he has a taste of unfinished business.
So maybe Mourinho is confident Pogba would work under him. Should Real be unable to match the bid, and Juventus alright with a 100M euro fee, it should be done.
