Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Its a bit confusing. Marotta is Juventus version of Woody, Morata is a former Juventus player who might end up at Juventus again
But why on earth would Alvaro Morata comment on the Pogba transfer? :nono:

New poster on the main forums here. Personally I love the fact we could possibly be getting Pogba and the fact were the most marketable team in the world makes it a lot easier to come to terms with considering the value of the transfer being around £100. However, what do you guys think about this for the future of United transfers? Of course every team know we are always willing to spend on the players we want, but does this allow teams to take the miky (yes ;)) with us in the future in terms of how much they ask for specific players?

I know the market is a terrible mess right now with Deeney being offered 30m, Sissoko potentially going for 35m, Gomes being looked at for ~50-60m. But couldn't this potentially stop United from paying decent prices in the future or do you all have faith we won't be taken advantage of. This is a world record fee we are willing to pay and clubs may recognise that as a way to play us round the block and get the extra 10-20m out of specific players. Of course it's just a shower thought but would love to hear your thoughts.
£100 is a bargain mate!! ;)

God knows. He's a former Juventus player who may return to Real + he's currently at Real who are our main competitors for Pogba

I'm not too concerned, being United we get squeezed for high fees anyway as it is. I don't think we can start reconsidering signing someone like Paul Pogba based on that anyway.

One member even suggested something that I thought was worth considering. Us smashing the transfer record like this will no doubt mean the elite players who'll command record breaking sums in the future will now cost even more, which limits the number of clubs who'll be able to afford them. With out financial resources we are certainly one of those clubs, and we now know we are capable of outspending the likes of Real Madrid.

As excited as I am I really don't trust Raiola. I could see him doing to us what he's doing to Juventus in a few years, hoping to again cash in hugely from a Madrid transfer.

I just hope that Pogba eventually ditches him or at the very least we get a good 3-4 years out of him before forcing Madrid to break the transfer record for him.

I hope we do like the Spaniards usually do with Poggers contract and put in like a £250m clause.

Funny how news outlets are ignoring what Moratta said and carrying on reporting.
They know he's lying.

That slapper is just attention grabbing and trying to use the saga to get more followers and retweets. She knows feck all and has been proved wrong time and time again.

Attention-seeker of the highest order. Desperate for followers that she even tries her hand at ITK stuff while filming herself half-naked. "Even if he did say that, you know it was only for one reason.

That girl... Pff is Real so desperate they use such a low technique to appeal to Paul now? What is she trying to say? That Paul does not want or does not go to United and is instead Real Madrid bound?

stop replying to ehasnul's posts, mods already removed the exact same post from this user a few hours ago!

Do you not think he's a large part of this being possible? If this goes through he'll to stand to gain around 20million euros.

His client is one of the best players playing in a sub standard league for 4 years. I reckon Pogba wants to move to a better league else this wouldn't be happening. As for the money, Pogba will be taking a cut of that himself.

She's about as credible as a nun wearing crotchless panties

I think Pogba is a large part of this being possible and I think that Raiola being a good agent helped his client. And the 20m pounds are for Pogba and Raiola.

Can't believe Newcastle are about to receive £60m for Wijnaldum and Sissoko, who were both fecking shite last season and one of the main reasons behind Newcastle's relegation.
and for 40m more, you could get Pogba. If you put it that way, the fee doesn't seem that crazy. fecking crazy transfer season.

This was probably posted here last night but just spotted this on the forums twitter feed

Fantastic work Olly :lol::lol::lol:

"Sky Sport says Juve and United are continuing contacts for Pogba. Madrid tried to enter last night but doesn't have agreement with Pogba"

This is total BS. As if Real Madrid would wait until the deal between Juve and United is practically done, and then enter the race in the last moment out of the blue to make the highest transfer in the history of the game. One really needs to be a retard to write something like that, or think people who read this stuff are retards (or lacking in basic math knowledge and common sense).

If we're talking up to 30 mil € player, then yes, both United and Madrid can do it out of the blue, but to finance the Pogba deal, any club will need to prepare themselves in front. We're talking 20-25% of yearly turnover for acquiring one player. There's people in finance who need to calculate what kind of payment structure is acceptable to not kill the cash flow and you start from there to prepare the offer. We're surely out of this.
