Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Yeah, but I dont think Juventus or Serie A fans can seriously understand or entertain the thought of the money in the PL right now. This is a league where a club like Watford turns down £30m offers for Troy Deeney. Imagine a club of Watfords comparable size in the Serie A turning down £30m for a player of Troy Deeneys calibre? It just wouldn't happen.

It is two different worlds of football.

They don't really care. Juventus weren't big spenders even when the Serie A was filthy rich (richer then the current EPL, I mean can you imagine the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland affording talent like Batistuta, Careca, Dunga, Maradona, Hagi etc?). Times change but Juventus always remain the same. Its a club whose got Great management at all levels (from directors to scouts), whose financially oriented and whose fecking ruthless. Compared to them SAF is a wuss.

Just checked out Juventuz forum, wow those guys are ripping us and extremely salty yet we don't even have the guy

They're coming up with all sort of names and superlatives to express their bitterness(over a deal we've yet to even made and could still not make) and it's become a bit of a mad house

The poster was implying that we need not worry about Raiola courting Madrid as he 'is working for us'.

Which implies some sort of loyalty which I don't believe exists.

Judas will have to clear up what he meant but I read that as simply "we know the way to Raiola's belly".

For Railoa to be kicking over chairs to make Mkhitaryan's move happen you've got to imagine that we know Railoa's price.

Edit - It's also not beyond belief that Woodward is savvy enough to have recognised early that Mourinho has asked for 3 Raiola players and offered Railoa an incentive to make all 3 happen.

A generous bonus for Ibra and Mkhitaryan, an obscene bonus if he can make it a hat-trick with Pogba.

Despite what you might read about Woodward on here, he's as shrewed as they come and has spent a large part of his professional career negotiating and structuring finance deals. I wouldn't put a trick like this past him.

Weren't we the same with Madrid and De Gea?

If we bribed refs and didn't have oil money clubs to compete with, you can bet we would have as much titles as them as well.

I wouldn't go there for the simple reason that no one knows exactly what happened. All we know is that Moratti (ie Inter owner and a Roman type of owner) built a case against them which started to leak water from all sides the more years it passed. No one know if Juventus were corrupt at the time and if they were no one knows if everyone was doing the same thing (including Inter) and they ended the scapegoat of something much bigger.

No idea why they're so bitter. I mean, imagine the number of free agents and expiring contract players they can sign with the £100m we are going to give them

Well Juventus is a hybrid of United/Liverpool (historical club, who wins mostly thanks to good management etc). Inter and Milan are more like Chelsea especially Inter.
Sorry that's an awful comparison, Milan and Chelsea? Milan have such a huge history especially in Europe and they're struggling in recent times, that's Liverpool.

I apologise for not revolving my world around the 10 posts a day I am so privileged to get in the mains.

There's always tomorrow..
Haha yes I've noticed there is a certain amount of smugness for many of the mains. "Ohh that's a bit of a waste of a post newbie"

I highly doubt they were demoted to Serie B because of less than concrete evidence.
Regardless, its been a one horse race in Serie A for a very long time now.

AC Milan are/were owned by Silvio Berlusconi. That should be enough to close the debate

Finding it hard to be excited at such an outlandish price. Times sure have changed. Anyway, good player so I suppose I'd be happy enough but surely we could make two 50 million signings and strengthen the team more?

Say you're right and he leaves in 3 years. So what? It would mean he has performed well enough to attract interest and we won't sell him for less that we acquired him for. 3 years of having one of the best central midfielders in the world and we are fecking loaded. Why not?
You cannot know that as he may have jist a year remaining on his contract then for all we know.

Raiola may as well just come out and beg Madrid to stump up the cash already. "Hey guys, Pogba is definitely thinking of possibly signing for United! You'd better get your wallet out quick!!" It's all so transparent. Eventually Madrid will crack and pay up for him.

The fee is right, he isn't up there with the likes of Ronaldo, Messi or Neymar but they would cost a lot more than a 100 million.

Doubtful. Kroos/Modric would have to adapt, or Pogba will have to play too deep. Real are in the market but not for a central midfielder for that price.

They are fun over at that Juventus forum. But they really dont like the PL.

Lets say United were accused of bribing the ref based on some cryptic mobile telephone conversations made between lets say SAF and one of the referees. Then it turns out that the company who intercepted those calls was owned by Manchester City owners, whose been accusing United of bribing their way to success. Not only that, but at one point every top club is accused of something similar apart from Manchester City. The investigations, which rely mostly on telephone calls coming from a company owned by the Shitty owners portray a situation were most top clubs are guilty and Manchester City are a beacon of innocence which was thrown into a pit of wolves. Wouldn't you be, a bit, suspicious about it? I would.

Shamelessly stolen from that Juventus forum (they seem like a good bunch of guys tbf. , it is fun to read their viewpoints since they are very pragmatic and reflected, as opposed to browsing the delusional fecktards of Bluemoon and rawk):

Ermmmmmm they are wumming mate, thats from the Vidal saga

I still have the feeling Madrid at the end of the day will say, feck it and pay the money.

All that is possible but I still don't trust Raiola.

Why are the people on the Juventus forum so salty about this anyway? A world record transfer for a player they signed from us for a nominal fee is hardly a bad deal for them.

Or is it because they don't like the idea of us being viewed as a bigger club than them?
This is something I also don't understand. Suddenly those guys are seeing us as their worst nemesis and are spouting hate filled driven garbage about our fanbase and club. We're suddenly the worst thing to ever exist when all this couldn't be heard before this whole Pobga saga.

I mean I'd understand if I walk in on RAWk or such place to see such hatred toward us but why are those Juves guys being nasty all of a sudden? It understandably to see them getting annoyed to seeing all these speculation about losing one of their key player and it's even understandable to see them getting irritated at us since we're trying to get their player but the bitterness being shown on that forum toward us would make one think they are RAWK and have been hating us for a long time and it's more than just the Pogba saga

He bought them in 1986, they'd already won the European Cup twice at that stage and almost a dozen league titles.

I'll just leave this here.

Maybe we'll have to post this on every page from now on

Understood that now :D they are actually great fun. But they truly hate us and the PL though. I cant understand what we have done to deserve such hate.

I mean, with their spot-on scouting and transfer strategy they could easily afford a new team with what we will pay for Pogba. Sooner or later he is gone anyways, and if they think we are so shit they should be happier reinforcing us than Real Madrid who will be a bigger threat in the CL.

Anyways, they are a fun bunch of bambinos. Lets hope their mother remembers to pay the internet bill next month so we can continue reading their posts.

True, but AC Milan under Berlusconi is basically the same like Manchester United under SAF. It monopolises most of their history. Actually Berlusconi is more influential to AC Milan then SAF was for us. AC Milan were crushing to the ground before Berlusconi took over. We weren't that bad under Big Ron

How is this even possible? Thought we had agreed personal terms

I'd assume Pogba has told Raiola the numbers he wants. More than one club can agree to those terms if the agent is touting him around. It then just depends on where he wants to go, and that club paying Juve the money they want.

I still think it will be Madrid.

Poor Guillem trying to keep himself and Spanish football relevent this summer.
If this situation was reversed we would be saying Pogba was using United to inflate his wages while negotiating with Madrid. It's the other way around and United are the favourites yet these contract agreements happen all the time! Hell Ramos told us he wanted to join United last summer while negotiating with Perez.
It's as simple as this. If Madrid match United's offer he will be a Madrid player.
Madrid do not want to match our offer but an offer of our size is the only way in hell that Juve sells.
Juve will not negotiate a lower price because they have no intention to sell. If they did our opening offer would not be 100m pounds.
Balague is stealing a living imo. This is one transfer with Pogba's roots in Manchester, his close ties with players in our squad and his friends growing up in Manchester that the local word of mouth is worth more than what Balague supposedly heard from Madrid.

"Pogba will sign for United" "Pogba prefers Madrid"

If a tweet is wrong it will be forgotten, if a tweet turns out to be right a journalist can build a reputation out of a story like this.

We are going to see so much crap and guess work in the media over the next few weeks. It is going to get very dull very fast.

Seems to be similar course of events to initial Mkhitaryan news, Di Marzio must have a direct line to Raiola.

And they're the ones they took him from us on a free. If he's coming here, they'll be getting at least 100m from our pockets.
