Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I wonder what SAF is thinking by now. All his value and United way talk look silly considering he allowed Pogba to go on free because he preferred playing golden oldies, Cleverley, Ando and co instead.
If we do pull this off, it will be interesting to see how we spin the history between Pogba/United/Raiola/SAF .

'In principle ' so the journalist is covering his back, at least he will get a lot of publicity and his articles will be read.

In principle of Juventus accepting a fee I would assume.....

Why are the people on the Juventus forum so salty about this anyway? A world record transfer for a player they signed from us for a nominal fee is hardly a bad deal for them.

Or is it because they don't like the idea of us being viewed as a bigger club than them?

This sounds a bit wrong, but I hope he has a stinker against Germany tonight, and in the final should they progress.

My worry is that if he puts in a man of the match performance Madrid will almost feel compelled to buy him.

They haven't had a shiny new toy for a while.

I hope he smashes it and we sign him. We need to be confident.

One thing you can be sure of is that the likes of Madrid and Barcelona would not hesitate in spending a huge fee to bring back a former youth (which is what he was) player they let go for next to nothing.

There's one explanation to it. SAF messed up. Even the United way can mess up with youth talent same as Mou did with Van Bruyne, Lippi with Henry, and Capello/Sacchi/Tabarez messed with Viera

It's about time we get off from our high horse

@SwansonsTache

I like Piotrr, maybe we could convince him to leave Juventuz and join the CAF. It is a more prestigious forum and is in a top 2 league.

Yes I like most Juventus fans. I like the club as well. If you are a member there invite some of them over, will be good to have some banter :)

To all Juventus fans reading, we really like you. But let's not be delusional here, Manchester United is a bigger club than Juventus.

and devilish with redcafe.

we are richer and not bigger.

we are richer and not bigger.

European trophy haul we are bigger, domestic they are bigger, fans and following we are bigger, recognition and brand we are bigger.

Their 32 domestic wins is hard to match though.

This has nothing to do with the transfer other than it includes Pogba but damn that made me smile. I think I want Paddy back more than Pogba tbh.

Fecking love that.. he has so much swag.

I don't know why you specifically point out the English game, when Spanish clubs are going at it at the same rate, with the added use of nefarious means to bend around systems.

Because the money in England is clearly much worse than in Spain.

Bournemouth spending 15 fecking million on Jordon Ibe? 35m for Andy Carroll. 30m+ for Troy Deeney. No other league is like that. Give me a break.

All those dancing atop the Pog express hype train, I wonder how many watch him regularly and are not just raving about him coz he's the flavour of the month. I'll admit I haven't watched him nearly enough to pass judgement on how good I think he can be but two things bug me.

120 mill (yes I know it's not my money blah blah) is a hell of a lot of money for someone who, let's be honest, probably sees us as third choice after Real and Barca. It's likely in 3-5 years when he's in his true prime he'll engineer a way out when Real or Barca come calling for him and knowing us we'll probably sell him for a lot less than we paid. I just want players who really want to play for us.

I know we have the money, and we can spend a lot on players. But I've been wondering, why when United came along the
price will skyrocket. And when the player move to different club the price would much lower than media quoted for us. And it doesn't necessarily meaning the clubs are small clubs than us. Let say, we didn't get Pogba for 100m now. Then out of nowhere when Barca or Real get him I bet the price will be much lower.

However I still want Pog here. Spend all the money Ed!

The leagues and our successes in the leagues are not easy to compare. It's not like we're playing in the same league and are met with the same circumstances. Also I don't think we ever tried to choose our refs. We don't like any of them lol

Yes, the 'big two' in Spain. The money they spend is obscene too. It isn't quite the same as teams like Palace being able to spend up to 40m on any one player. That's the equivalent of fecking Almeria doing it. Wise up.

Surely if there's forum wars we need to get RandomT on the job, hopefully he's respected on juve forums too :wenger:

Juventus fans are somehow different to ours. Unlike our fans who consider players as if they shared the same womb with them, Juventus fans see them as mere employees of the club they support. Players come and go but Juventus will always remain on top, irrespective of what happens.

Pogba's departure will be considered at par with that of Zidane. Both were top players (ok Zidane was better but he was also older) and both left for an outrageous fee. They value Pogba's contribution but for them its quite an exciting time. 120m is a enormous sum of money and they know that their staff will spend it wisely. That's exactly what they did when they sold Zidane (ie Nedved, Thuram and Buffon were bought).

What Juventus fans will be probably asking is how can a club be so stupid to allow a kid to leave next to nothing only to buy him few years later for 100m. They wont understand that we grew attached to our pensioners and crappy players. So seriously guys, dont go tit for tat with a Juventus fan. He probably think that your club is very stupid right now

Yeah, their 32 domestic wins are hard to match though. But no doubt there has been more of a one horse race, plus some well dodgy shit going on in Italy.

But am I mistaken in Juventus sort of being the Manchester United of Italy, Inter being the Chelsea and Milan the Liverpool?

biggest, plastic, historic (but down on their knees)?

I really dont know the league or the history and stuff surrounding the clubs in Serie A.

In what way are they bigger out of interest?

I never said that. I think we're at par in terms of prestige with them having a slight advantage on history and we've got a bigger advantage in terms of money and support group.

I find that idea a little naive.

I am not talking in technical terms. I mean the idea of Raiola having some sort of loyalty to us to be naive and fanciful.

How did you get loyalty from this:

We've got him in our pocket this summer, he's clearly working for us, and we will make it worth his while.

He's saying that we are paying him good money to make things happen for us.

There's no mention of any favours.

Well Juventus is a hybrid of United/Liverpool (historical club, who wins mostly thanks to good management etc). Inter and Milan are more like Chelsea especially Inter.

Yeah, but I dont think Juventus or Serie A fans can seriously understand or entertain the thought of the money in the PL right now. This is a league where a club like Watford turns down £30m offers for Troy Deeney. Imagine a club of Watfords comparable size in the Serie A turning down £30m for a player of Troy Deeneys calibre? It just wouldn't happen.

It is two different worlds of football.

If we bribed refs and didn't have oil money clubs to compete with, you can bet we would have as much titles as them as well.

I hope if Pogba doesn't want to move to us and 100% favors Spain instead then he'll put this to bed early after the Euros finish. I would love us to sign him of course and we definitely have the money it seems but I dont want this being dragged out (and I dont mean the negotiations). Surely if we table a bid that gets reluctantly accepted by Juve, Real will have to get their asses in gear, they need a big sale it seems to fund any purchase or the Madrid council can surely lend them 120m euros of tax payers money. Either way we'll surely need some guarantee from the player otherwise what is the point.

I'd be over the moon with this signing as Pogba will only get better and better and it will be a real statement of intent and a publicity dream for the club.

Let's not go into another tedious 'my club is bigger than your club' debate. :boring:

Regarding Pogba, I'm honestly shocked we are interested at that price, obviously if Madrid want him, they will get him. But perhaps they'll wait until Pogba is 26/27 before buying him off us.

I like Juventus, has always been my second club after Man Utd, my favourite player ever is Nedved and my first shirt was a Del Piero back when I was about 8 years old. However, do their fans seriously think Juventus could threaten Manchester United of being a bigger club, that's ridiculous!
