Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I agree that Rojo was a massive downgrade but Evra had kinda regressed for us in his last years. I remember in that Moyes season we conceeded a lot of goals from Left Back.

Still an amazing personality and player for us. Wish he joins us in some form or capacity.

Yeah definitely. Reckon he'd make an amazing coach. Players would love him and he's clearly a bright bloke.

Not going to happen boys.

I'm surely not the only one that doesn't believe this will end well? A world record fee for a young, relatively inconsistent player who is thriving in a weaker league?

I cannot see a single situation where he lives up to the profile of this transfer with us. Loved him in the youth team, Fergie's decision will forever remain a blot on his record but I really think we can't win here.
He's one of the best midfielders in the world. If he's not good enough for you then you're going to be very disappointed, because we won't be signing anyone better.

The only thing that gives me hope is that, if Madrid were negotiating with Raiola, Di Marzio would know.
Marca, El Confidential and ABC over the past week have claimed Madrid have dropped heir interest.

Besides us they seem to be the best for banter. They are actually quite funny, especially when compared to the sad state of the cnuts on city and liverpool forums.

I reckon it's a bit more complicated than that mate. Obviously I don't know any more than you about what transpired, but it's highly unlikely that a manager as shrewd as Ferguson thought Cleverley was a better option than Pogba.

It's far more likely that Raiola was an ass clown and wanted more money than United were prepared to offer. Bear in mind that we were still trapped in the austerity years at that point (when we were buying bargain-bin rejects like Valencia and Obertan).

The annoying thing is that, now we've got loads of money, we've blown it on players who aren't fit to lace Pogba's boots, and even gave our next prodigy, Januzaj, £50k a week to ensure there was no repeat of the Pogba debacle!

a- SAF was the one who hyped him with 'I can't bring in a CM because else I lose Pogba'. Prior to that point no one outside France/Britain knew whose this boy was. Afterwards things did changed. The irony is that it turned out that SAF didn't cared about Pogba either. In matter of fact he rather played a RB in CM then him. Which kind of shows his reluctance in bringing some solid competition to his boys.

b- If SAF wasn't keen to work with the likes of Raiola then he was better off retiring for good. Football is all about agents these days. They are a necessary evil. Do you think that there's anybody in football who wants to deal with the likes of Kia, Raiola or Mendes? No. However that's the price to pay unless you want your team to end up spending good money one talentless husks like Kagawa, Valencia And Young

Foreign young talent move away from their country for a reason and that is to play football. If they cant get that with United then they will move elsewhere. They are not some coddled Salford lad who would rather shoot in his leg then not playing in Britain but mature kids who took the decision to gamble everything on football and are determined not to lose that gamble. Once they feel prepared then rest assured that they wouldn't settle for an outside chance with Manchester United followed by a decent career with Sunderland if things turn sour. That's why SAF was never able to fully exploit the talent of Pique, Rossi (who was as big as Pogba but unfortunately his injuries ruined him) and Pogba. We nearly lost Januzaj that way too.

It is amazing that some people here talk abt ManUtd as if it is the greatest club in the world, the most prestigious of all, and must buy the best young players. But they do not mind, few years later, Barca or RM or BM come asking for the player who flourish under ManUtd wings, treated ManUtd as their feeder club. Or worse, a "grooming centre" before they come "claim their ownership. As if ManUtd does not deserve those players, they are too prestigious for ManUtd. This is one thing that absolutely irks me, to death.

Perhaps you shouldn't be on a Manchester United forum if you don't want to endure bias towards Manchester United.

We get it boss they're funny

Considering today's market,Pogba's position as a CM, his age, his potential to become eve better, 100 million sounds just about right.

They are going to be very sad over at Juventuz. Its only Pogba himself who can stop the transfer now.

Didn't Jose basically say the 4th will be here way before August 31st. The lad's a confident sob! Got to love that! #believe #POGBON #kermithasnothingonme
He was saying that the 4th wouldn't be on the 31st August. Basically implying thatbit would be nuch sooner. Then if player's became available between now and then we would look atvit but without being deperate.

Hopefully this time it is them using Madrid to drive up the transfer price for us instead of using us to drive up the price for Madrid

Yeah that's my point. That hasn't been widely picked up on but is he not basically uber confident the 4th is on his way. Can't imagine he would have put it that way if he wasn't sure it was on.

He'll join Madrid.

I've been saying that all along, but at least we have credible sources reporting that we're heavily in for him. If we don't get him, I assume we'll go some other big player with the cash we're willing to splash.

The only player we sold against our wishes was Ronaldo, yet some people shit their pants anytime we have a world-class player on our books.

We haven't sold and won't sell anyone we don't want to sell to Barcelona and Bayern Munich, so mentioning them is pointless. Yeah, we sold Ronaldo because he wanted to play for Madrid, but that's it. Means feck all in the grand scheme of things.

All we have to do is start winning titles again and we'll be fine.

He'll join Madrid.

I think this will be the case (very much hope not).

I find it hilarious when people believe that Madrid can't afford the deal, sorry, that's bollocks. They will also be able to raise funds, somehow, some way.

It will come down to if they want him and ultimately (and unfortunately) I think they will pay up.

It's hard to say, Mourinho always looks confident. Lets hope so.

Their dislike for the EPL is hilarious. Do they allow opposition/EPL fans over there or are they all deluded?
