Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Is there any reason Juve would sell? They are a huge club, I can't imagine they're desperate for cash. If we wanted to keep a player we could afford to reject any offer for them no matter how crazy.

If Pogba wants to go the deal will happen I believe for that price.

Just had a text from a Liverpool supporting mate.

"I think you've won the league..." :D

We can afford it, we want to win the league and go far in the CL. We have to try and improve the team immensely. He does that, in my humble opinion.

I personally think we have <50% chance of landing Pogba but I have no issue with United spending record fees,etc...

The earlier post about inflation and the money floating around football right now is spot on. It's a different world.

Not worried at all about that shower, so pipe down.

He thought nothing to disrespect the club and leave 3 years ago, he'd think nothing of it in the future when he and his agent (yes I understand we've dealt with him extensively this season before you say anything) gets bored with his deal. We've seen how his agent has behaved with Dortmund. Maybe it will take Pogba and his representatives shitting on the club twice to realise things..
:wenger: Pogba left to get first team football, which was in fact a GREAT decision by him. SAF is to blame for not playing him. He has only had great things to say about United and how he enjoyed his time here with friends and family. You are creating your own narrative here.

Yet the world ransfer record was broken by the likes of Zidane, Luis Figo, Denilson and Kaka as well as your Ronaldo's, Bale, Vieri, Crespo and Shearer. So obviously teams judge midfielders who can influence a game, like Pogba can, as very important. So it's not only your out and out goal scorers that are deemed game changers.
I never said out and out goalscorers. I was talking about players who do their work closer to where the main difference is made; the final third. Figo, Kaka and Denilson all fall into that category. Pogba does his work closer to where Fàbregas or Modric do theirs and as good as you can be in that position, it will never be as influential as those others which is why central midfielders very rarely if ever command the fees of wingers or more attacking minded players.

Whats the deal with him again? What did he get right?

I know he supposedly was/is close with the youth batch at the time Pogba was here, but has there ever been any proof of that or anything that he's got right because of it?

Things he got right before anyone else;

Pogba leaving (he screen capped messages and shared them, I seem to remember)
Ravel leaving
Welbeck new contract
Van Persie signing
Schlupp trial

Things he got wrong;

Ronaldo returning (he now claims that he was, until SAF retired and didn't fancy working with Moyes)
Ronaldo to Chelsea (he admitted afterwards that it was an attempt to make money from betting)

I don't know if he's bullshitting, but he did have friends in the club a few years back- all of whom have now moved on, so when he claims to still be mates with Pogba it is more credible than most people

Feel free to take it with a pinch of salt, I'm not getting excited until more evidence that something is happening comes up

Its more like they follow him on Twitter and then change the title to whatever he posts and say it they heard from their "source".

Nah. Di Marzio works for Sky Italia I believe.

They've been doing this all summer, reporting what he says as 'Sky Sources'. I guess, technically, they're correct, but it gives the impression its come from somewhere else when it hasn't.

We're on a space rocket heading for the Moon.

What if Moon autochthons will want to devour us?!

Also, a post from piotrr on Juventuz might interest some people, not sure if it's been posted here or the interview with Pogba is legit.
Did you forget to include said post?

It's moving along but I still reckon Madrid will pop in with a bid and he'll go there

Also blue moon is raging with jealousy :D

Claiming he's overrated and stuff now. Was best thing since sliced bread few weeks back.

Vulgar desperation or showing an ambition they should have shown prior? United are no more desperate then any club and unlike most, we're not trying to stockpile players either.
Any one transfer of the past 3 years is fine on its own. When you look however on the general picture with the transfers of Di Maria, Falcao, Bailly, Schweinsteiger, Pogba and Zlatan, it all reeks of a confused club. This really is not too different from our fellow English clubs who are all acting pretty much the same with lesser resources bar City. It makes you think English clubs are finding it very difficult to deal with the new found wealth and balance it with development, tactical work and the old fashioned art of building a team. Transfers are essential to the success of every club, let's be clear about that but so are other factors. English clubs including ours in the recent past seem to have the balance horribly askew.

King Jhonno is very well connected to that batch of Youngsters. He was very close to Ravel, pogba and others. I think he might not be lying. He called both exits perfectly, i seem to remember he was also connected with Ravel's gf rhea at that time.

Most exciting United season in years and muggins here has cancelled sky.

FML as the kids would say.

Same here. If we land Pogba, I will be phoning Sky to renew. I already have BT Sports at a hugely reduced fee, might try and get a deal for Sky Sports too.

Which of these situations would you prefer?
1. Liverpool fans giving us shit for letting Pogba go on a free and re-signing him for a record fee years later.
2. Liverpool fans giving us shit for not landing Pogba.

1. laugh as we clock up the trophies
2. laugh as we clock up the trophies without him

Could we though - I mean if the player wants to go afteral only a fax machine stopped de gea joining Ronaldo at Real Madrid and I dont think we wnted either to go

I kind of remember all the fuss with the DJ guy over Ronaldo. Hope he is right this time or that he isn't being sneaky regarding betting.

As for ballbags comments, I don't think its something that we should just ignore, even though he has been wrong on occasions.

The icing on the cake in all this, if it was to happen. Would be all the jealous fans from rival teams, especially city because for the last two years they have had their hearts set on landing him. Also Kroos seems to be their muppet transfer rumour and surly Madrid missing out would kill any chances of that.

At least you got to watch the Moyes and LVG seasons... lololololololololololololololololololol

Really annoy me with those Juve fans on that messageboard calling us deluded for thinking Pogba would come here. Juve is a big club with a nice history which I respect, but they need two face two realities:

- The PL will always be a bigger attraction than Serie-A. In fact Serie A is also behind Spain and Germany
- Manchester United will always be a bigger club than Juventus

There, have that dose of reality with your next portion of pasta.
ffs

Got seriously excited when I got a push notification (is that they are called?) from Sky Sports App and thought there was progress or an update but they seem to be just reporting Di Marzios tweet from last night.

When Juve come down under i will be sure to act to get him back here if the transfer does not happen soon.

I tried for ramos and failed so need to make up for it.

that wouldnt be so bad... I'm more worried Pep is going to Kidnap him from the airport SAF/Berbatov style

The posters on that Juventus forum in their Pogba thread are getting Bullish with every post. According to them there is a 0% chance of Pogba joining united.
Strong denial?

If woody gets this done, we will have another "SIR" in our ranks.
SIR Edward Woodward the Brave king and provider of transfer muppets.

Thats better than I remember. Fair enough, so we can say two things are likely: he probably knows whats going on and either A) knows we're definitely signing him or B) knows we're definitely NOT signing him.

I guess its something.

How did he disrespect the club?
He left because he wasnt getting playing time and his contract ended, his decision has proven to be a good one from his perspective. He has never said a bad thing about the club either.

It will also fulfill ED's dream, He will have his first true galactico. The statement signing, The signing with which he can drop his pants and show his balls and say I am Edward feckING woodward.

Still think Madrid will cough up at the last minute especially if he plays a big part tonight and in the final if that's how it pans out. We need him sent off for dissent at the very least :)

Strong denial?
Denial is the first stage of coping with loss. Soon they'll get angry and then they'll start pleading with the Juventus twitter account to not let Pogba leave.

Here it is:
They are baiting us.
I'll just leave this here.
