Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

That doesn't change the fact that players of his ilk are available for the kind of money being mentioned for Pogba. I will leave it at that for now. Goodnight guys.
If Barcelona thought they're safe with that release clause, why did they need to accept world record salary for Neymar? They could just keep negotiating with him till next year. Or Barcelona knows that his value has risen and they need a higher release clause plus pleasing Neymar lest he agrees to join money throwing club?! Similar with Real Madrid is prepare to improve Bale contact.

I don't know the new release clause of Neymar but if within 200 mil and hypothetically say he wants to leave in January, then I see clubs willing to pay it.

And you forgot the important bit. Why would Neymar leave Barca to us currently?

Should we bid on silly targets again so people on here can laugh when they don't come.

But but but Pogba is a silly target and people were laughing....

So why isn't Pogba a game changer? He is capable of dominating games.

Do you think Roy Keane wasn't a game changer because he didn't score lots of goals?
Let's not get into semantics here but when I say game changers, that's fat Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Henry, Suarez, Neymar, ... Basically mostly attacking players who work close to the opponents goal. There is a reason why those guys go for the most money and win most Ballon d'Ors. Their job is the hardest and most rare to find in football. As much of a difference that the best midfielders can make, it simply won't be as big as the Messis of this world.

If this goes through, there will be no excuse next season, Top 4 and a title challenge will be required.
As a club, we may well 'print money' but the Glazers will expect/demand at least Top 4 with this kind of outlay.

Guess what? All those players have a good midfield behind them. Do you think Messi would struggle with Argentina if he had Xavi and Iniesta?

Oh and yes please tell me the game changer we should bid for? We tried for Muller, Neymar and Bale in the last few years to no luck.

So tell me ones. As majority of them play for Barca, Bayern or Real. Why would they join us?

Pogba Mkhitaryan Bailly Ibrahimovic.

Our team next season will be incredible.

De Gea
Fosu - Smalling - Bailly - Shaw
Pogba - Schneiderlin
Mkhitaryan - Rooney - Martial
Ibra

If there is a god this transfer will happen.

Di Marzio reporting it is as good as it coming from Pogba's mouth, he's proven this window that he's got a direct link to Raiola. Absolutely monumental signing, this'll shake the footballing world, £100m, Woodward's been desperate for a true marquee signing and it looks like he finally has it.

Miki and Zlatan are on the phone with Pogba as we speak.

"Poggy! Poggy Poggy Poggy, oink oink oink! Poggy Poggy Poggy, oink oink oink! Poggy! Poggy! Poggy Poggy Poggy, oink oink oink! Yeah, we'll see you later."

Some major killjoys in this thread. It looks as though we're signing arguably the best young cm in world football and you're complaining about the price?! Screw the price bring the boy home!

I said I was throwing a party if we signed Zlatan it'll be a three day rave if we sign The Pog!

100mil pounds? Ridiculous.
If is but.. I guess it won't bother us. I'm not filled with enthusiasm with that value, but if I think about it the (probably)better choices at the moment - Kroos, Verratti that are in the same age bracket and more established either won't come or probably cost even more (in Verratti's case).

Pogba is not the most marketable face but we will surely recoup some of that sum.

Could be even better with Matuidi if the reports are true:

De Gea
Darmian - Smalling - Bailly - Shaw
Pogba - Matuidi
Mkhitaryan - Rooney - Martial
Ibra

That's a team that can win the title even next season.

Not sure why this is contradictory with anything I've said? Keane, Iniesta, Xavi, Modric and many others are obviously brilliant world class players. I was saying as good as they are, they are not worth the Messi and Ronaldos of this world. We are paying Ronaldo money for an at best, Modric?

So we are under an obligation to spend a 100 millions? If we can't get them, fair enough, nobody is putting a gun on our head. Bayern never spent more than 50 millions for a player and they're not doing too badly are they? Barcelona before Neymar and Suarez did not either and I don't recall them going all cuckoo and bidding crazy money for the Pogbas of this world? Or why go so far, us pre the ridiculousness we are seeing now were not exactly engaged in the d*ck waving contest of today. Of course there are unique circumstances to each of those examples but English clubs post 2010 seem to be the only ones in the planet whose only answer to building a team is throwing money right and left.

Even without Matuidi(and without Pogba too), there's no reason not to challenge for the title.

The Prem is weak. There's no team ahead of the pack.

What length of contract do you think we'll be looking at? Can't imagine we'd risk a 4+1 with Pogba, we'd just go for the 5/6 wouldn't we?

The muppetry is real here. Why is it when a dogshite twitter journo says something that benefits us, people get behind it with "boom" and "get in" etc. When the same dogshite twitter journo says something we don't want to hear, we laugh it off as rubbish and slate said dogshite twitter journo.

I would get a Neymar type player who can win us championships on his own.
You are gravely mistaken, if you think Neymar is player capable of winning championships on his own. Take Messi, Suarez & Iniesta out of that Barca team and Neymar would not look half as good. Neymar does not have the mentality to grind it out when the going gets tough.

I'll stick that with the full page exclusive "scoop" spread that he released on Sky about LVG staying just 2 days before JM signed...
Yeah, he doesn't seem very clued in on us anymore, he's certainly no Di Marzio/Cooper.

Well.. we surely will be adding a 4th member in the squad so we will reinforce. I agree tho, even with only Mourinho and the signings so far we should be able to make a push at it.
I'd even go with Bastian in CM and Pogba in the #10 but it seems that Jose will give Rooney a chance at least(although I think it would be worthless).

The only reason I can't see this happening is if Juve decide they don't want to sell as he is too precious to them, although we have already agreed a deal with Pogba, so if we didn't think they would sell why would we agree a deal already?

If we actually pull this off then I can see us going all out next summer for Griezemann to replace Ibrahimovic.

£100m or Stones/Sterling.

Could replace one of the above with Mangala too.
And Everton want £75mil for Lakuka.
Its all ridiculous but this is football now. We either go with it, or get left behind.

He was recycling what Di Marzio said. Next time check twice before calling people name.
