I agree, I don't like it one bit. But if that's how Ole is playing it, Pogba needs to be make the decision for him.

Happens quite a lot though unfortunately, and looking gutted doesn’t make it any better especially when it looks like he took the penalty against the planned penalty taker no matter what they are saying now in the press interviews it was obvious Rashford expected to take it.

The ridiculous penalty run up has gone...that alone is worthy of celebration.
On their internet forums, perhaps, but internet forums seem to attract a particular kind of character from the broader pool of people who like supporting a team. It's a team game, he produced a good performance for the team. Wolves scored a very, very good goal, shame no-one got out to him quicker but these things happen.

That's a big difference considering the final third is much more difficult to complete a pass due to how many players are there and having to try riskier passes to get the goal.

Spot on. All too often his 1/10 performance gets called world class because of one moment of brilliance. It’s just not good enough.
He needs someone like Carrick behind him.
He is not the leader, or midfield general we need. This is the type of game those players take over and run the game.
I think those post match comments are a case of trying to take some flack off mr pogba, nothing wrong with that and bodes well for the team spirit.

I thought he was very good tonight. He played deeper at times and was our regista for periods which gave us a strong grip on the game.
It's dissapointing he missed the pen but no other midfielder in our squad (apart from Gomes) would've won a pen with the sort of play Pogba pulled off period..
He can only do so much at the end of the day until someone like Nuno tries to stifle him. We need to incorporate Gomes into the team ASAP IMO to add a extra bow to our Arsenal from the central areas to help Pogba. McTominay and Lingard are just not good enough and shouldn't be starting at a club with our aspirations.

Magnificent piece of play to win the pen, just didn't either hit the corner or get it high/low enough. Changing up his technique on pens is presumably to keep keepers guessing, wondering if he will go for the 15 step slow approach or the quick strike, don't mind the thinking behind it at all.

Best player on the pitch bar none, literally took the ball off Maguire/Lindelof's toes countless times deep in our half, was the 1st/2nd option of a pass back from Lingard/James/Mctominay/Rashford/Martial, played the best forward passes and got a penalty from nothing.
He had fecking Lingard in front of him, who can't create for sh|t and Mctominay to his side, who was playing within himself more defensively.

Not having a go at his overall performance but do you really think anyone keeper that picks the right way doesn’t save that??
It's the overall record with penalties that bothers me more to be honest and deserves a focus of attention.
He needs to play higher up the pitch as evidenced by the penatly win. When he plays so far back, he gives the ball away far too much for a player in that posistion.

Agreed. Pogba does silly makes that catches us on our heels frequently. His skills are more suited to the #10 role if and when he starts shooting more.

Yeah probably, I don't think Ole trusts Matic or Fred enough to allow Pogba a free roaming role behind the front 3.
