He was better this game which is kind of my point about Pogba.

LOL.

Pogba played great for the entire match. He did his job, he played well.

Rashford came on for 20 minutes against a team on the ropes that was exhausted. Rashford was electrifying in 3 plays or so.

Apples and Oranges.

Pogba was one of our best players for the duration of the match. Rashford was not as good as Mkhitaryan over the duration that the two were on the field, but he did score a goal.

I think Mkhitaryan did great as well and he should be starting. I was just disappointed in Pogba today

We kept the all in their half of the pitch almost the whole match, and in the attacking third for long stretches, and Pogba (also Blind's quick balls into feet) is a big reason we could keep up that pressure. Again he is insanely difficult to rob, and his passing is almost always correct. Shooting was off but that's always a bonus, especially for a player sitting deep.

Pleasure to watch him play live - even though it wasn't an individually great performance from him, just the class of how he moves and the drive he has is a joy to behold. Far from a perfect performance, but still so promising to see.

Many will disagree but i think he played too high up the pitch today. They basically had two banks of four in their penalty area and he slotted in amongst them.

I don't buy that he's a number 10. He should be 5-10 yards deeper. When they are heading that ball clear it should be Pogba receiving it and picking out the next ball to the forwards whilst in space. He's extremely creative from a distance, can run with it or shoot well from range (not today). He stifled himself by getting in amongst the hustle and bustle in their area.

Basically, he should pay like Scholes with a licence to drift forwards with the ball or make his runs out wide. But he absolutely should be the one dictating the play a little deeper.

Fellaini should not be getting more passes than him in a first half of football. Want him to see more of the ball and control the game.

I don't care that he was abut ineffective today: I maintain that the best of Pogba can only be seen when he plays against better quality midfields.

The only thing that matters for me right now is that Paul Pogba plays alongside with zlatan Ibrahimovich under Jose Mourinho .... for Manchester United!!!

Still can't believe Woodward pulled this off!!!!

I thought pogba was ok he tried the flash stuff at times it worked others it didn't. but was fairly solid and showed what we have missed having a powerful cm. He can't play every game when he is all flash.

He wasn't very good. He wasn't awful though, it was mainly just his shooting. A bit Coutinho-esque. But he'd still be building his match sharpness.

Can't believe you people thought he was good. You haven't seen much of the pog if you thought that. He is capable of much, much better games. He wasn't trash either but he was trying too hard with those long shots.

Didnt control the game like be controlled the Southampton game. Wasn't great, but not poor either. Showed some immense skill, but there was one that I really felt he should have scored. If that's his "bad" game then that's alright.

If he is playing in a two with a water carrier than his positioning needs to be 10-15 yards further back than it was last night. Needs to show more creativity and vision from the midfield. Also, should be in a position to receive the ball in the middle to be able to run with it.

Although his shooting was a bit off, still liked him taking those shots from outside the box.

Hull City were taking it in turns to foul him, and he held up fairly well while winning a few free-kick chances. Shooting was off, and before the substitutions he looked a little bereft of attacking ideas, as did everyone else. Overall decent game.

You can only run into areas that are vacated by your teammates. All our guys were attacking since Hull was parking the bus. There was nowhere for him to run to... so he made the pass simply to the teammates already there, which was the correct play. This is what Deschamps has been pounding into his head: Forget about trying to be spectacular. Make the right play. Let the others do their jobs. Only jump in if it's the correct option.

His shot was off otherwise he would have scored. A couple of those were from too far away, which was a mistake.

Again, he's a CM, not a striker and not an attacking mid.

He will always look more spectacular with teams that are even mildly ambitious against Man Utd because he will then have areas to run into. In games like this, he's just a link.

I thought he was good yesterday considering he's getting used to a newish position with extra defensive responsibilities.

i don't think a lot of people know what Pogba is and what to expect. All they see is he cost 89M and he should do more.

What's the expectation for him this season? Is he expected to be United's best player right off the bat or simply one of the best. Perhaps maybe even the best player in the League?

He didn't pull up any trees yesterday but was ok and Hull were trying to do a number on him.

He had an off game shooting wise and i'd like him to use more long balls just to change the angle and variety of the attack but beyond that I am ok with the rest of his performance. I like how he gets out of tight spots with little pieces of skill, his first touch is outstanding, he turned some hospital balls where he had to stretch to receive them into good passes.

Looked fine, helped control the game, was a genuine goal threat and worked hard.

I think we all forget that this is a team under a new manager that is still bedding in three new signings who are all starters so quiet performances from any player should be expected. His debut obviously set the bar high but he is still a new player working himself to full fitness whilst integrating into the side.

Had no space to operate, playing against a side with no ambition what so ever and was only playing to crowd out the opposition and defend.

Did well enough.

A big weapon that Juve used is to to have the fullback opposite of Pogba make a diagonal run into the corner of the box (Lichsteiner). It was a killer against park the bus teams and Pogba was very good at hitting that long pass. Mourinho should really look into that play.

Simeone does the same thing at Atleti with Juanfran against very defensive teams.

Standard player not up to speed game. Really wanted to show us something vs Southampton so played far better than you would think given he was just coming back. The games like city are when your best players show you they are your best players, its going to be some game.

Everyone and their mother wanted Pogba, fans of other clubs that tell themselves that their club didn't want Pogba, and that was why they didn't get him are just deluding themselves.

Probably only us, Real Madrid, PSG, City and Chelsea that had deep enough pockets though.

He said "Zidane", not "Madrid"... which is not random. Florentino Perez was never sold on Pogba for the price Juve were asking.

"Zidane wanted him at Real Madrid but there were another five or six clubs following him as well. Manchester United are now a lot stronger thanks to him, whilst Real Madrid are not.

"I never spoke about the market with Pogba whilst he was playing at the European Championship, and then he went on holiday because he was very disappointed.

"It was only when I arrived in Miami was it when things were put in motion. He explained to me what he wanted. Manchester is his home."

Raiola on Pogba and his United transfer.

Our second/third best player behind Ibra and possibly DDG.

Among the top 10 in the league. But I can see him taking a season before becoming one of the absolute forefront names in the league.

I was happy with his performance, he moved the ball around well. Him and Fellaini are great ball winners in MF and part of the reason (along with the passing of our CB's) as to why we could keep up the relentless pressure on our opposition.

Him and Fellaini had the most passes of any players this weekend, they were very important in maintaining our tempo and pressure on Hull.

Agree that he was slightly further forward than expected, but that was due to the fact Hull were so deep.
