By the way are we not going to change and update Pogba's picture to his current self rather than use his youth picture.

Massive game the Derby is.

Assuming City will play Silva/KdB/Fernandinho, Pogba should physically dominate that.

Show everyone you were worth every penny Paul.

I just want to see him go on a run and smash one in long range. Do a Yaya against them.

It's Pogba's shooting that needs to improve I think. Yaya was lethal inside and around the box in his prime, I'd love Pogba to reach that standard for us in front of goal. I guess we have to remember the guy is still only 23 though and will still improve immensely.

I don't care that he was abut ineffective today: I maintain that the best of Pogba can only be seen when he plays against better quality midfields.

The only thing that matters for me right now is that Paul Pogba plays alongside with zlatan Ibrahimovich under Jose Mourinho .... for Manchester United!!!

Still can't believe Woodward pulled this off!!!!

Hmmm. Sounds like Veron.

I thought he was fine really. Stuck to his task and did his job. Really close to scoring near the end and what a first goal it would've been.

I noticed he hardly took the opposition on at times. But I think Hulls players were very deep so Pogba had little space to run into. Some of his balls were very good though.

Yeah they sat deep and gave him no room. Would have been stupid to try and dribble through that. He did his job fine, just nothing overly flashy which some silly people expect every game.

He and Fellaini kept recycling the ball well and it's what kept them pinned in their half. Since when in the last few years have we dominated a team like that?

Spot on

This. Him and Fellaini were instrumental in our pressure especially in 2nd half when it was all us. They kept the attack going with taking ball of Hull at every oportunity and passing it to our attack quickly.

Going to be interesting with NT. Curious to see if they play a 433 with Kante as the DM... a 442 with Sissoko wide of Pogba... or a 4231.

I think it's going to be a 442. France had a lot of true wingers, which is unique today. The 442 really suits them. It's a shame for Pogba because he's going to have to sit back. With Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele, Martial, Coman, Fekir, Payet, etc. being creators, they don't need the CM to participate at all on the attack.

The young fullbacks they have are extremely attacking too, which makes it even more important for the CMs to cover. Digne, Kurzawa, Corchia and Sidibe are wingbacks basically.

I hated how he kept taking those long shots but also loved it. It reminded me a bit of Ronaldo. He wants to be in the headlines, he just wants to be number one and he knows he can pull it off. That sort of confidence and cnutiness is what we need. I just want Pogba to be a bit more of a cnut on the field and get under the oppositions skin.

The difference to most of our pot shots is, with the exception of his one skied effort on the turn, they were all very close to going in. He can do those all day as far as I'm concerned, once he gets his eye in he will score a lot of goals.

Pretty certain that he was told to take a few shots simply so Hull would have to drag their midfielders/defenders out of the tight backline to stop the shots. More than happy with the performance against a very compact Hull-side.

Being able to stay in and around the box while on the attack, that's definitely his best position.

In which position is he playing?
First half:
Mandanda
Sidibe Varane Koscielny Kurzawa
Pogba Kante Matuidi
Griezmann Giroud Martial

When Matuidi came off for Sissoko, Pogba went to the left and Sissoko went to the right.

Mandanda
Sidibe Varane Umtiti Digne
Sissoko Kante Pogba
Dembele Gignac Payet

On and off. It was a friendly. Nothing of note. Makes some bad decisions and some good ones. Typical France game for him.

Kurzawa never played for PSG last season. Maxwell was the starter. He's a regular this season and has started strong.]

Kurzawa was a striker until he was 16 or 17 btw.

He looks like a better player with black hair.

Not even joking it just makes him more appealing to the eye.
